This review is long overdue, even though I added photos months ago! I'm so glad my sister recommended this place to me - and it's right in the neighborhood. I started going to a chiropractor in LA while I was pregnant having upper back pain. I had never been before in my life (my sister and mother went but for some reason I thought if you went once, you'd have to continue going) - I was missing out. So going while pregnant was definitely super helpful and after having a child, I need to get readjusted every once in a while after all that bending over changing diapers/playing with baby etc. This is my go-to place when visiting family over the holidays and during the summer. This place is also affordable and will work with patients with no insurance (which was helpful for me when I didn't go back to work after having the baby). Anyways, Dr. Goodman is great. He is such a great conversationalist, and it seems all his customers love him - just look at his picture wall when you come in and you'll see all the smiling faces! He seems to really try to develop a relationship with his patients. His waiting room is also pretty big (maybe I'm just used to my small LA office) and has a TV. I've never been to a chiropractic office before and have always been hesitant to give it a try. My husband introduced me to Dr. Goodman because I have lower back pain from time to time. Dr. Goodman is seriously a friendly and professional doctor. He is always concerning and caring about the issues with his patients. No doubt Dr. Goodman did ease out some of my fear about chiropractic services, especially those scary adjustments. I was also glad I am able to get adjustments during my pregnancy to relief some of my back pain. It was definitely a great help! The massage therapists there are also very professional. I've been getting massages in different places and spa, but I have to say...they are no where close to the massage I get from here. I personally like the massage therapist Michelle. Even though it's always been only a 30 mins massage, but I definitely felt relax after every massage. Most importantly, I LOVE how I can still get massages during my entire pregnancy here too!! I've been going to David for Chiropractic visits for around a year now, if not more. For lower back pain and general maintenance, he's great at what he does, as soon as you walk in you are surrounded with a real "family" feel environment. Staffs are friendly, masseuses are great too. MOST IMPORTANTLY, he fixed my back problem, and pricing is very reasonable (Compare to where I used to go that charges 3x as much, and the chiropractor doesn't seem like he liked his job or himself. I mean who would want to get their back adjusted by someone who sounded like they are going through a divorces?) Make an appointment with David, you will not be disappointed. Even if you have no issues, it is always good to visit (Like what I do) for maintenance, so your body is functioning optimally (Like an alignment on a car), don't wait til you have problems and then go visit, cuz your problems will just be more complicated. Although I see others complain about parking, I rarely have issues finding parking in the little parking lot they have behind the building. I was looking for a chiropractor a few month's ago and found Dr. Goodman here on Yelp and decided to book an appointment. For the last few month's I have been getting regular adjustments by Dr. Goodman and so far it's been going great. I visit every few weeks to get adjusted. PROS: -My body feels better after I get adjusted. I feel more flexible and my body just feels more alive and healthy. -Dr. Goodman is very friendly and each time I visit he makes me feel warm and welcome. -He has very convenient hours. -If I want I can also get a massage at his office as well, before I get adjusted which is a bonus! I got a few massages so far, and they were good. -He gave me a discount on my co-pay because my copay is absurdly high. I feel like he truly cares about me and my well-being and health. CONS: -Office is a little dated and can be more modernized. -His website leaves a lot to be desired but I heard he is working on getting a new one soon. -Metered street parking but I always find a spot nearby in the afternoon. read more

I was recommended to come here by my insurance company because my old Chiropractor, whom was awesome and I loved, did not accept my new insurance. The ease of scheduling the appointment was great and the first sign of a great practice. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the wall to the right of all his happy patients. That was nice to see and a nice touch to the office. The front desk receptionist was nice and very professional. I later discovered she was his wife. Dr. Goodman took me almost immediately on my first visit. He explained everything in detail to me. I must say that his personality and bedside manner is awesome and you can tell it's genuine. On my second visit he was a little busier so he put me on this table where they place warm to hot water pads on your back. Omg if felt nice and loosened me up for when I saw him. I had maybe about 10-15 minutes of that which was great before I saw him. Before I left I was scheduled for my followed up and also to include a complimentary massage at my next appointment. I was excited. Free massage!!! On my third appointment I arrived and was treated to a relaxing 15 minute complimentary massage which was heaven. They then place me on another table that resembles a small water bed. Pressure shoots water up onto your back and it's like another massage. After the massage and that I was feeling really relaxed before I saw Dr. Goodman. Needless to say I WILL keep going back and I definitely recommend you give him a try. read more

First time I went here and they took me in time. Very friendly doc, wife working desk, and adorable little girl in the lobby (their daughter). In no time after asking a few questions he got to adjusting. But my major problem was between my shoulder blades, which he tried numerous times to crack. Finally with his determination he done it. Dr. Goodman is amazing. He is knowledgeable, kind, and concerned for your well being. I was having severe neck pain, I was seen very quickly, given heat, and a massage. Everyone in the office is very kind and helpful. After calling my family doctor numerous times for help to get an x-ray or MRI scheduled for disc issues, Dr. Goodman sent me to get an X-ray and got the ball rolling on my diagnosis, he then read the X-rays and sent me for an MRI which helped me get diagnosed and finally some relief from an orthopedic. This little gem of an office I've probably passed by numerous times before I decided to give it a shot - based on its accessibility to my home - and favorable Yelp reviews! I started to feel comfortable after I called and spoke to the receptionist to make my first appointment (for treatment after an injury primarily). She's actually his very sweet wife Cecile - they give you courtesy reminders about your appointments, which is good in this busy world. They also have a cute as a button daughter. I've had loosening treatment on the heated waterbed like table, the table where you have hot packs placed on you - but the best is the massage. The therapists are great there but it's an extra blessing when Paula does the massage since she has these amazing hot stones which allow the heat to penetrate more and loosen up more. Oh, and Dr. Dave has an amazing sense of humor - you're sure to leave there with @ least a little bit of a smile no matter how you felt earlier. The parking can be a bit of a challenge - haven't tried the small lot (primarily since I usually come right after work in Center City and on SEPTA). The Routes 18 & 24 pass by on Rising Sun Avenue; the Routes 24, 70 & 77 pass by on Cottman Avenue - office is just below Cottman, past the H&R Block & a jeweler but before a Verizon building. The Ryers train station for the Fox Chase Regional Rail Line is just a few blocks away on Cottman Ave. So if you get off the train, you can take a quick walk to the Wawa (very nice & friendly staff!) to get a coffee and just take a little exercise walking a little to the office - or hop on the Route 24, 70 or 77 bus. If you're looking for pain relief, you may want to try to give this office a try. Highly recommended. I have scoliosis, and while it will never be completely fixed, he did wonders for me. If you have never had chiropractic, or have tried it but didn't like it, I suggest you give Dr. Goodman a chance, and try it a few times for a genuine chance of healing. I started seeing him around 19 years old. I am now 36. At first, I was terrified of letting someone mess with my spine. He told me, it will take some time to get used to, but he promised if I gave it a chance, for at least a couple months, he'd do his best to be gentle and ease me into it. He did exactly what he promised. I went at least twice a week for the first 2 months, then sometimes 3 times a week. Some days it was adjusting the spine, some days a deep tissue massage, and other days just some stretching. He recommended I get more involved in yoga, which I had been trying for years to do more of, and he also showed me how to stretch my back the way he does it for you. After 2 years, it had dwindled to once a week, then couple times a month, and then it got to the point where I would just come once a month, or even every few months. I stopped going when I turned around 28. It worked wonders for my back. I was 5'7" when I was seeing him. Now, about 3-4 years ago after 30 years old, I am now 5'10". He set me on a healthy sturdy track, to be able to do what I need in order to live a much healthier life. I got to a point where I could finally do light weight lifting, and not be in constant chronic agony all the time. It helped straighten me way better than I was when I first met him. I just went back a couple weeks ago for a re-evaluation after several years of not seeing him. I got real sick this spring, and it has been effecting my entire body, and my back has been really bothering me some days, so I thought maybe it's time to go back for a little assistance again. He is very generous, kind, understanding, patient, but incredibly passionate and determined to make sure he does his best for each and every one of his patients. I always see people leave his office with a smile. I call a spade a spade. When a doctor does wrong, I will call them out on it.
