I was searching on Yelp for a hot stone and facials for Mother's Day and found this gem. Lisa sent me a quote through Yelp and Katie set my appointment up over the phone quickly. Got lost a bit on the day of the appointment, 800 E Cottman avenue is also a apartment complex across from the WAWA. Me and my mom was a bit late to our appointment but Rose sign us in swiftly. When we entered the room, the room is lightly dim and cozy. Our masseuse came in the room in 5 minutes and start our hot stone first. I love the fact that my masseuse therapist(Louis) didn't speak much and let me enjoy my session. Didn't realize how sore my muscle was until the hot stone treatment. Mom say the hot stone lacks a bit of pressure, maybe I should get her the deep tissue next time. As our facials goes, we LOVE the facials. My mom says Handled With Care facials are so much better than Asian facials beauty parlor. I have extremely sensitive skin, but since HWC only uses organic products, I didn't have any aftermath side effects from it. I won a gift certificate at a designer bag bingo for a free massage here. They were able to get me in fairly quickly. The girl who scheduled me was very pleasant. I added a facial as well to my services for an additional fee. My check in experience was easy and quick. I was taken immediately. The lady who did my services was wonderful. The staff was polite and helpful and the sessions were enjoyable. It has been many years since my last massage and I left thinking why I waited so long! I was gifted an egiftcard for this spot for Christmas and decided to try my luck in getting an appointment for New Year's Eve. Sure enough I was able to book massages for myself and a friend pretty last minute. The price was so reasonable and the massage itself was great. The ambiance wasn't 10/10 due to the fact that during my massage I could hear people in the lobby speaking clearly, which kind of snapped me out of relaxation. I've been seeing Lisa for over 10yrs & I can't say enough good things about her. She listens to me AND my body and works on areas until they feel better. She knows when to chat and when not to. $50 for an hour massage!!! Free parking!!! This local gem will now be my go to spot to get my kinks out. I normally go to the city for a massage and spend at least $80 not including tip. I like that I can call and get an appointment the same day. I have been seen by Rose who has magical hands. She listened to my concerns and got down to business immediately!! She made sure I was comfortable in every way so that I enjoyed my massage from start to finish. The lighting in the room was perfect. The music was soothing and the massage table was warm. Everything put my mind at ease and I was able to relax. I walked out of there feeling like a new women! If you are in the area and are in need of a massage I truly recommend this place. My therapist wasn't good at all, the table warmer wasn't working and I had to repeatedly tell my therapist to apply more pressure, no good. People were talking loudly outside the massage room- ugh.:( It felt like someone just applied oil on my body. I went here before and it was good, so I decided to go again... Came back upset! I went in yesterday for a massage. I was able to call 3 hours before and get an appointment which was great . The staff was friendly and helpful. I was seen by Rose who did a good job. The place was a little out dated and could use a good cleaning. The table which I laid on had a broken face rest which was very unrelaxing during my massage . I have been getting massages by Lisa, who is the owner of Handled with Care, for 20 years now. Having had multiple neck and back problems, Lisa has been able to help me to stay mobile and relatively pain-free. I typically go for a massage every two weeks, and wish I could be there weekly. The office staff are professional, friendly and very customer-oriented. Lisa is a wonderfully skilled practioner, plus she and Rose have received specialized training and certification in treating cancer patients. Dr. Robert Sitzler has been my chiropractor now for about 12 years because he's not a hack and he knows how to adjust your neck and back the right way. I'm in construction so I see him about twice a month for preventative maintenance. Getting an appointment with him couldn't be easier with the help of his great staff!!! On a side note, the massages here are just as great. No pressure from the staff to schedule more visits (one of the main reasons I keep coming back).
