I am very pleased with my recent experience at Elevate. Jason was very attentive as I explained my range-of-motion challenges. Using a deep tissue massage-like therapy called active release technique, he worked through tight affected areas breaking down adhesions. This part of the visit lasted about thirty minutes, at which time I was seen by a PT (after having consulted with Jason) who customized an exercise program to help me re-build strength, improve range-of-motion, etc. We went through a series of exercises, always adjusting for proper form. (After the visit the office sends an email with the exercises in short video format to help you remember). Each visit built on the previous exercises. In total, I had about 6-8 visits. Elevate consists of a team of knowledgeable and caring professionals, in a space that is warm and inviting. I have been to other PT offices in the past that have been adequate and satisfactory. Elevate is co-ordinated and streamlined and made for a seamless experience, leading to, in my case, a speedy recovery. I highly recommend. read more

Best chiropractors in Seattle! I have been to 3 different chiropractors in Seattle. The other two met with me for about 5 minutes. Adjusted my back with 2 or 3 cracks and sent me home. I got no explanation and certainly no advice for at-home care. I was then charged more than my co-pay amount and had to complain to get my money back. This experience was like no other. They spent time with me. Explained what was going on. Pointed to the bones on a screen to show me. They took their time with me, adjusted me, and then sat with me in the back area explaining different exercises I could do at home (even sent me home with a ball). I was charged my regular co-pay. Don't go anywhere else. Now that I am pregnant and experiencing sciatica pain, I am coming back to them :-) read more

Last year, I developed a shooting pain down my leg after a few months of running. After multiple PT appointments and weeks of doing exercises that only further irritated my injury, I was told I should call my primary care doctor, who had a two month long wait. I happened to run into Dr. Ryan at an event at the local climbing gym and he was the first professional who had even a working theory of why my leg was bugging me, and what we could do to get it healed. I called Elevate a couple days later and had my first appointment with Ryan within a week. Even after the first visit, I started feeling better, and after five, my daily pain is down to nearly zero. Wow, these guys blew me away, or blew my pain away, to be precise. I've been battling sciatica for about 5 years now. I've tried straight PT, and spent about six months being treated by another chiropractor who would spend about five minutes with me per visit. Nothing helped. I gave up running and even walking was triggering it. My sister had a great experience at Elevate and recommended I give them a try, so I made an appointment. Wowsa, what a different chiropractic experience. Adam spent an hour with me during our first visit to diagnose the issues and do some miraculous deep tissue massage. That was followed-up with a PT session with Clint. I couldn't believe the immediate relief I felt just from that first session! Each subsequent session was similar with about 30 minutes of chiro/deep tissue massage and 30 minutes of PT. We continued treatment for about 4 weeks, maybe 10-12 sessions overall, and my sciatica is COMPLETELY GONE. I was also having some foot issues with a Morton's Neuroma that I was told would likely require surgery to correct. Adam felt the pain might actually be fascial, and he went to work on that, too. They also gave me foot exercises to strengthen everything. I couldn't believe it when my foot pain ceased as well. I am totally amazed and so grateful to be free of this staggering discomfort! I do want to note that deep tissue massage is not at all "soothing" and it can be quite uncomfortable as the practitioner is breaking down the fascia. Not to oversell it, but the people who work here are absolute rockstars at what they do. Dr. Jason, Dr. Ryan, Clint, Sam, and Katie are the people you want in your corner if something's not right. Elevate was my third attempt at finding a place that could help me with chronic low back pain that I had aggravated with weight lifting. Dr. Jason was the first person to really listen to everything I had to say about my injury. I'd never had an intake appointment so long or so thorough. Right off the bat it was clear that he really cared and was going to figure out what was going on. I was feeling pretty discouraged and frustrated after struggling with this issue for so long, but he helped me get in the right headspace by pointing out that he'd seen a lot of patients get great results with injuries very similar to mine, which I really appreciated. Appointments are split between time with the Dr. you're seeing and time with the rehab specialist, Clint, who takes you through the exercises. I quickly learned that while I'd done similar exercises, I'd never had someone make sure I was really doing them correctly and without compensating. (Clint's level of knowledge with the exercises is truly above and beyond.) They've also created videos of nearly every exercise, and they send a post-visit email with a list of the exercises along with links to their YouTube video demos of each one, which is so helpful. Because I'm a powerlifter, they've spent a ton of time reviewing bracing and proper positioning for squats and deadlifts, since not getting that right contributed to my problem in the first place. This attention to detail with the exercises and laser focus on preparing me for my sport, paired with Dr. Jason and Dr. Ryan's treatment, has made all the difference! After about 4 months, I am basically pain free. It is incredible to be able to do normal things, like sit down for dinner at a restaurant, without being in a ton of pain by the end. Also, in the middle of my treatment, Dr. Jason broke his wrist, which at most places would've caused some scheduling difficulty, but no! Katie and Sam rescheduled all my standing appointments for my standard time with Dr. Ryan, making the transition truly seamless. Dr. Jason is often around during my appointment times and will take time out of his day to check in on how I'm doing even though he's not currently treating me, which feels really above and beyond. It feels so rare to find a place that runs like a well-oiled machine and also provides truly outstanding care, but that's Elevate. I met with Jason Hodges and Clint Maschhof a couple of months before a scheduled total hip replacement surgery. While protecting the hip, my back and knee had gotten so out of whack that they were causing more pain than the hip joint. The first session with Jason made a world of difference! This review is WAY overdue. Let me start by saying I used to have *opinions* about chiropractors. I thought all they would do is crack my neck and rush me out. This is NOT the case!! I saw Dr. Hodges 2 or 3 years ago for an injury from tight hips. Treatment from Dr. Hodges combined with the mobility work with Clint fixed me right up. More importantly, they gave me the knowledge to recognize when things start tightening up and what to do to prevent this recurring injury. About a month ago, I woke up in the middle of the night with a loud pop and what felt like a bad charlie horse in my neck. I had severe pain and couldn't move let alone get out of bed. And tears. I love this place and Dr. Jason Hodges has helped me so much! I have neck, back, and numb hand issues and don't like "cracking," so he does alternate therapies which give me relief. I recently had a car accident in which someone ran a red light and altho I am OK, I was in a bit of pain. I went to Dr. Hodges that same day, and walked out of there in almost no pain at all---after a car accident! It was such a blessing. He is treating me for my injuries, and I don't think it'll take long at all until I am all good. I have a physically demanding job and had been having serial episodes of 10/10 neck pain. I was so desperate to get relief, however was super scared to get adjusted because I was in such pain. From day 1, Dr. Ryan Hansen catered my treatment plan to my needs. My first visit he took an entire hour to listen and to educate me in a way that was collaborative and easy to digest. Dr. Ryan is gentle and listens to things that work great and stops things that don't. I came in from out of town so I was given the junior person, Brittany, who was very nice but I am sorry to say that I do not know how she graduated chiropractic school. She could not adjust my neck, she just waved my head around. This was after almost an hour of the softest, least ART-like muscle work I have experienced. My neck was in no way released. Eventually I had to ask for someone else to do the adjustment. Jason came in and did a very quick adjustment, successfully, but he was there for about 20 seconds and it was pretty minimalist. My neck is about 7% improved, I had my time and money wasted, and most unfortunately, I lost my opportunity to get my neck fixed and enjoy my visit. I understand new practitioners need to practice, but it is unfair to let someone so unskilled work on people without warning that this is not going to be real care. read more

Elevate Chiropractic's mixture of physical therapy and massage has transformed my relationship with my body. I originally went to Elevate because I woke up with a sore neck. After working with Dr. Jason for 1 session, my neck improved dramatically. Though the real difference has taken more time, as all good things do. With the help of Dr. Jason and Clint, I have learned over 40 exercises to improve the strength of my body. In the last 10 years I've seen my fair share of physical therapists and chiropractors (also due to living in different countries). Never have I had such a complete care and holistic approach as at Elevate. Dr. Ryan really took his time to listen to me, and offered me a range of different therapies (soft tissue work , laser therapy, neck extension, adjustments).Together with rehab specialist Clint I got to work on a set of exercises. Every session took one hour. At the beginning of the treatment, they gave me a clear time frame (X weeks, twice a week,..) in which I could expect improvement. They also got me to take X-rays at the beginning to make sure there was nothing structurally wrong or injured. After every session, I received an email with videos and clear instructions of the exercises. I've been an athlete my entire life and with that comes injury. I sustained a severe neck injury racing motorcycles four years ago that I will probably never completely heal from but was finally able to function and return to work and a normal life within a year after the accident and a necessary surgery. This year I decided to pick up bicycle racing and after several months of riding & racing, the pain in my neck gradually increased until I was completely debilitated. I was unable to work or lead a normal life. The pain was so unbearable I was considering a second surgery. In an effort to avoid another and possibly unsuccessful surgery, I was referred to Jason and Elevate chiropractic through another bike racer and within a month the pain was nearly completely gone. I was back to living a normal life, able to work and I can still ride and race my bike! I've had a great experience with Elevate Chiropractic and Rehab. I started working with Dr. Ryan just over a month ago and I already feel complete relief from my back pain. I've been needing to see a chiropractor for years, but put it off. After a car accident, I decided it was finally time to make an appointment. I'm so glad I found Elevate Chiropractic and Dr. Lee! He was able to treat the injuries I received from my accident, as well as treat some of the chronic issues I've been having since the birth of my son (which was five years ago). What I chalked up to advancing age in terms of range of motion and aches and pains, was something that could be fixed with the help of a chiropractor. Who woulda thunk?
