This store is my happy place. I go out of my way to make a stop here if I am ever in Indiana for any reason. This is a perfect stop for anyone that loves to cook, bake or eat! Prices are a bit higher, but that is to be expected for a small, locally owned business. I have never left the store without finding something special (or a few things).

If you love cook at all or know somebody who does... this is the store. If there is any kitchen gadget to be had, I am certain you can find it here. German knives, clay pots, kitchen towels, reusable straws with carrying case, cake pans, pots and pans and ladles... whatever you need to prepare that dish. The staff is friendly, helpful and most importantly knowledgeable. If only I lived closer... thank goodness I do not because I'd buy all.

Across form the courthouse in Bloomington is a shop filled with kitchen items (utensils, bowls, cups, etc) and specialty foods (salsa, teas, bitters, mixes, and dressings.) What makes this place unique is that the shop is split into two halves, separated by a central hallway. The right half has more of the tools while the left has more of the food items. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of options within each category. I will say that I have seen most of it in other places around town and central Indiana, but the shop had done a nice job of gathering them into one place. They also have a sign up sheet in the lobby area for cooking classes. If I lived closer, I might be tempted to get back into that again. Review #2309

Got it all (almost) or will get it for you. A cook's resource. Products AND KNOWLEDGE. That's a rare combination in retail these days!

The 3 things I bought today were the same price on Amazon, except it supported the local community.

Each has a Little Italy and other neighborhoods where you can experience the food, traditions, and culture of different communities. That's probably one of my biggest complaints about Indianapolis, there just isn't anything. Then you find this little Italian market tucked away in a Bloomington strip mall. Being Sicilian and Italian, every time I head down to Lake Monroe to take the boat out, Little Italy Market has become a mandatory stop to fill the cooler. The Turkey and the Many Meats are my go-to sandwiches, and they never disappoint. Everything is fresh, the portions are huge, and these are easily some of the best deli sandwiches I've found anywhere in Indiana. I actually find myself craving them when I'm back home in Indy. If I lived in Bloomington, I'd definitely be a regular for the Italian grocery selection too. But for me, the sandwiches are the star of the show. The family running the place is always incredibly friendly, and they're more than happy to add or change anything on a sandwich to make it exactly how you want it. Little Italy Market is one of those locally owned places you hope sticks around forever. Great food, huge sandwiches, friendly people, and a little taste of the Italian neighborhood culture I miss. I'm literally writing this on a Friday morning waiting for noon to roll around so they can open before I head down to the lake. That probably says everything you need to know. Easy 9.3/10 If you're in Bloomington, this place is absolutely worth a stop.
