My partner and I have been to this place in Bloomington a couple of times. Both times we got their coffees and I have to saw they are pretty good their pastries are good too. I'm Still thinking about the pecan bar, ya'll. It's almost been a week and I can still tasted the sticky sweet roasted deliciousness of this part shortbread bar. It's sinful and oh-so-good. I was also super impressed by their vegan chocolate chip cookie. We also ordered two lattes and the almond cake for the road. This is a carryout only bakery with a small storefront that limits only two customers in the space at a time (as of July 2023). The service was friendly and down to business. Great spot for coffee that I feel like isn't talked about enough. All their coffee syrups are Housemade which include honey caramel and brown sugar cinnamon syrup. Only place I've seen so far that has Housemade syrups instead of just store bought syrups. Amazing. We felt unwelcome and rushed as we didn't have time to really look at the baked goods. My sweets took me to Two Sticks Bakery this morning ! They're a small establishment, right now they have heavy covid restrictions. Only two people are allowed in at a time. They have a counter that showcases their baked goods and they also serve coffee. The waitstaff was absolutely cheery and made me feel welcome. We both got coffee, forgetting to add the cream from their cream station. It was still absolutely delicious ! I typically don't drink black coffee, but it honestly didn't need anything added to it. The cinnamon roll was actually the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. It definitely outdid Cinnabon. The icing tasted like a buttercream with an added citrus flair. The roll itself was packed full of flavor and very moist ! We took our coffee and enjoy it whilst walking around a nearby park. Definitely recommend ! read more

First off: there is no indoor seating so know that ahead of time for planning. More of an in-and-out type of place, with outdoor seating in warmer months. That said, I came here due to the great Yelp reviews. I opted for a (tad pricy!) orange sweet roll and a turmeric ginger tea. The tea was phenomenal and so so well priced. The roll was delicious, but I was hoping for just a TOUCH more spice (like cinnamon or clove) to bring the whole thing together. The service was very helpful and kind. My partner had a cappuccino and two of the (NEW) flourless chocolate mint cookies. She loved the cookies! The only thing that could possibly improve this awesome local women-owned bakery is if they baked bread. Bloomington really needs a decent brick and mortar bakery that makes good bread. I literally drove more than 70 miles to get a s'mores bar from Two Sticks Bakery, and it's been one of the best decisions I've made all week. The s'mores bars are a seasonal item, apparently, so if you're reading this during the fall, go get one! They are delicious! House-made graham cracker cookie base, chocolate ganache and a thick layer of toasted marshmallow creme. It was heaven. I ate it paired with a black coffee spiked with ginger syrup (another seasonal delicacy). My word. The combo was divine. We also got the coffee cake (two thumbs up), chocolate chip cookie (two thumbs up) and a latte made with oat milk. They gave us a sample of oat milk to taste -- and wow. I'm an oat milk believer. They also have oat milk available for free if you want to pour some in your coffee. This is a cute little bakery, and there are maybe three tables available, so not a huge amount of seating. They also tend to sell out sometimes, so if you have your heart set in something, you should probably get there in the morning. read more

I pre-ordered a blueberry lemon cake for a friend, and had to pick up a day earlier, so they recommended I change forma whipped cream frosting to their traditional buttercream. We popped in for a quick treat when they first opened and last week, I stopped by to take a sampling to co-workers... now they all love me. Between those to visits, a few things worth mentioning and trying: Chocolate chip cookies - they got it right with the pinch of salt, so good! Gluten free crispy bar of some sort, not your mama's rice krispie! Peach turnover - see above and imaging me making mmmm noises Orange cardamon cinnamon rolls - I think this might be one of their classic staples. They are HUGE and we cut it into 1/4s to try, so good! My favorite - the chocolate cherry scones. I am almost always disappointed in scones, but after you have a really good one, you just want it again and keep trying. This one delivered! Gluten free peanut butter bars were good, but I liked everything else better! Excellent bakery. The apple turnover was delicious as was my wife's cherry danish. The chocolate chip cookie was truly one of the best ever. They are a bit over the top with masks and social distancing (only two in the bakery at a time) but ignore that and try the delicious pastries. You will not be disappointed read more

I really loved this place. The coffee was amazing. The menu is smaller than a typical coffee shop but each item on the menu is made well, high quality. I had an iced coffee with oat milk and butterscotch. It was delicious. My friends ordered tea, a gluten free oatmeal cookie, and a peanut butter bar. I was able to try each item and they were amazing. The peanut butter bar was my favorite. It was hard to pick a dessert as each one looked great. The store front is small with a small parking lot (about 4-5 spaces). There is street parking available. It was busy but the line moved fast. The employees were concerned with getting our order exactly to our liking. They seemed to care about every order they took in the same way. The employees were kind, helpful, and offered suggestions. I stopped in for a quick cup of drip coffee and to grab a Danish before getting back out on the road. They have a relatively small counter area where the pastries sit and you ask the cashier to select them for you. I went with the Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish and it was excellent! Lots of filling and flavor with a light, but sturdy Danish shell. The Danish are more compact in size, being more deep and less long than the kind you see in supermarkets. The Danish was very good! The cashier also got my drip coffee for me and was pleasant to deal with. I was thinking maybe a five star rating for the service and quality. But then I tried to drink the coffee and could tell it was freaking too hot. A small sip and I could feel the taste buds surrendering to the heat. So, I took the insulating sleeve off the outside of the cup and set the coffee in my car's cupholder and ate the Danish without the coffee. Time passed as I parked my car in the 35 degree weather, walked nearly 3 blocks to get lunch, ate in the restaurant, and then back to my car and the coffee was still quite hot! It was drinkable and tasted fine, but seriously, coffee that is that hot nearly an hour later is just crazy! It doesn't need to stay at brewing temperature once it is brewed. I've never had a negative experience here. I'm impressed with how nimbly they navigated the switch to online ordering and pick-up when the pandemic hit. Their customer service has always been top-notch, and their ability to connect with customers has no doubt helped them as COVID regulations tightened. And the food? AMAZING. The pecan bars are ALWAYS a good idea, as is the garlic/thyme/potato focaccia. For drinks, a butterscotch latte is always my go-to. Amazing bakery! We've gotten Two Sticks several times, but I never remember to take a picture! Highly recommend ordering 4-5 items and then trying a bit of everything. The menu rotates seasonally and frequently features local produce. They have adorable gifts/custom cards inside as well. The espresso is fantastic too. The staff are kind. Every category earns 5/5. Tip: Check their Instagram story before going if you want to know what's available for the day. They are a small batch bakery, so the goal is to sell out by the end of the day. The confections and coffee here are remarkable. Two words: Pecan freaking bar. I had actually come here hoping to get a difference pastry case item that I had seen on Yelp and was kind of disappointed that it wasn't available, but it turned out to be a good thing because that pecan bar was All the flavors and textures you totally love and pecan pie without the huge mess, plus a little bit of extra calmly goodness, and an amazing shortbread base instead of pie crust. I can't overemphasize how delish this was. I also couldn't overestimate my sticker shock at how little this breathtaking pastry and a 20-oz mug of coffee cost (we just got back from Key West, and I would have expected to pay almost twice as much there). That said, don't come here to do work unless you don't mind using your data plan to connect your devices. I was really surprised that in the year 2020, so few businesses in the Bloomington area offer wifi for their guests. I had originally headed there with the intention of getting some work done, but wound up having a nice time chit-chatting with the staff and one of their suppliers instead and took the head on using my cell data to get a couple of must-do tasks tackled for work. Also, the parking situation is a touch tight, especially if you have a large vehicle or a bike rack. my friends who live in Bloomington said that they've parked at a nearby business and gotten some stink eye from the business owner when they walked over to Two Sticks from the adjacent lot. This place reminds me of a cross between a weird, fun college town bakery and something you'd expect to find in Copenhagen. It's just got that so perfect vibe you've been looking for. Minimalist, beautiful, and smells that'll knock you out of the park. Their baked goods rotate daily but they have some staples (you can always expect a chocolate chip cookie and a gluten-free, dairy-free variation, for example). They make the best scones I've ever had. Perfectly moist, bursting with tart raspberry goodness. I'm sure they probably rotate out their scone fruits but that's the kind I had recently and man alive was it good. They usually also have some sort of gluten-free choc pb situation, plus coffee cake, danishes, cinnamon, focaccia, cakes, and my five year old's fav homemade rainbow sprinkle sugar cookies. The staff is a small team of charming people who all know how to make THE BEST oat milk chai lattes. They can make oat milk anything your heart desires. Also their hot chocolate is killer. They're all about local and it shows in a variety of ways ranging from the coffee beans they use for their fresh brews to the artists they work with for their beautiful mugs. This is one of my favorite places in Bloomington!! It's still pretty young--they just celebrated their first anniversary. I could talk about this place all day. Here's some highlights: 1. All their baked goods and drinks are incredible. I haven't tried a thing I didn't like. My family's favorites are the chocolate chip cookies, veggie hand pies, and cinnamon rolls. They also serve the best Chai I've tried in Indiana. 2. It's women owned and operated! 3. They're a great addition to the Bloomington community: they partner with other local small businesses (Switchyard Brewing often), they source as many of their ingredients from local vendors as possible, and they carefully compost and recycle everything they can.
