My first encounter with one of Laura's books was years ago, finding her first one, Practical Intuition, perched on a stack at a thrift book store. Reading that book was like plugging my psyche into an outlet. Electric. Though it took many more years to build up the nerve to move beyond only reading her books, pining over the newsletters, scanning the other Yelp reviews here, and generally just daydreaming, to really try to practice with Laura directly. Signing up for her bootcamp was a someday maybe item on my lifetime Katharine wishlist for too long. Last year I just went for it. If you are considering joining bootcamp my hope is you will have the chance to let yourself have this gift too. It is an extraordinary mind-bending joy. As a bonus the skills she teaches are also extremely effective. A short while after our last session finished Laura released the Prism, her latest book. I was hesitant about it before getting a copy. Could her work be improved on? Was there more to say? Definitely. This book is a gem. Whether you're ready for the next Bootcamp or not, The Prism is a gift of a book too. I may sound like just another fawning fan by now. It's hard to temper your enthusiasm when you discover a guide who can shine light on these kinds of skills. Laura can be a force and she's generous, wise, and encouraging too. In one of the bootcamp session or printed out on paper, her words are still electric truth.
