The service has become abysmal (I asked 8 times for a review of my account in 2024 and never heard back) and their prices have become outrageous. In 2023 I paid $2,625 for my corporate returns, which I hand them on a platter. With no notice, they charged me $4,536 for my 2024 returns. Needless to say I am moving my business elsewhere.

Six months ago we needed to retain an accounting firm to calculate simple, unaudited financial…read moreestimates for our company. We initially thought to retain one of the Big Four firms. Unfortunately, we surmised that as the calculations were quite basic in nature and that no audit confirmation was necessary, we could use a smaller, local firm. We contacted the firm EisnerAmper LLP in Sacramento, California. In our initial contact we spoke with the Managing Director Ms. Jolene Fraser. We made it very clear to Ms Fraser that we only required unaudited estimates and did not require her to "stand behind" the figures. She acknowledged that Eisner Amper LLP could readily fulfill our request and requested our documents and a $7,500 retainer. We had slight apprehension when she required such a large retainer, because our retired KPMG accountant had advised us that what we wanted would only take an accountant only several hours to complete. We immediately sent off consolidated sales statements and the retainer....and we never heard from Jolene Fraser again. Over a month later, we contacted EisnerAmper LLP and inquired the status of our estimates. Ms Fraser, rather than contact me, called our company attorney and advised that her firm could not comply with my request and only was willing to do a "full blown" (their words) financial audit. This audit they were speaking of would go back 10 years and entail reports not requested or needed by us. Furthermore, the cost would be well over the retainer amount. We immediately emailed Ms Fraser and terminated EisnerAmper LLP. We asked for our retainer to be returned along with our documents. A month went by with nothing causing us to have to contact Eisner Amper LLP again asking for our company documents and retainer to be returned. After two more weeks our documents arrived apparently untouched, in the same order and condition submitted. We had to contact EisnerAmper LLP a third time asking why our retainer was not included with the documents. MS. Fraser would not get on the phone and her assistant "Mikayla" advised that due to Covid 19 our check would be delayed? We waited several weeks with no refund and finally contacted EisnerAmper LLPs headquarters in New York. We spoke with the partner over the western U.S. who advised us he would look into the matter. Several weeks later we finally received a check from EisnerAmper LLP but it had a large deduction. We reached out to the partner and he advised he would look into the matter. We requested an itemized invoice as to the deductions and what was done? We also asked for any work product that was completed. To this day we have received nothing. Can you imagine an accounting firm that does not give an accounting of what they charge? In closing, EisnerAmper LLP duped us. They originally claimed they could do what we specifically requested, then once they received our retainer they backtracked and claimed they couldn't do it. We ended up with nothing but a 3 month delay in our project. Our experience with EsinerAmper LLP was a frustrating and expensive lesson.

I filed taxes with Liebert and can say that they are setting the standard for service in the context of tax accounting. My initial email was responded to immediately, and after a first phone call -- before even agreeing to have them do the work -- I had more insight into my relatively complex tax situation than I'd had in years. They blended electronic and phone contact perfectly and understood how to use digital documentation, banking, receipts, and apps to simply the process. "Just email your forms to me, or share a dropbox or google folder" is exactly what I wanted. Sally worked on my taxes on an extremely tight deadline and was very clear, concise and responsive in her emails -- and this was during a weekend! I met with Laura when she was in the Northwest and she helped me out of a huge mess of unfiled and unpaid tax debt from years of self-employment and commercial fishing, lifting a huge weight off my shoulders. She knows how to file taxes for foreigners on a Visa like me, and I can tell you that not all the tax consultants I worked with in the past knew how to do it! I have always used TurboTax or TaxACT and have had trouble with it. The e-filing never seems to go through, and it is always a huge hassle. Using Liebert and Associates makes doing my taxes such a breeze. He knows all of the tricks of the trade to get me a better refund, and I don't have to deal with any of the lingo that I don't understand. I also have a small business, which Liebert and Associates was able to get me get off the ground. Well worth the price, which is very reasonable. Excellent service--made filing my mother's taxes for 2 states plus the federal return so much easier. Very affordable, efficient, and extremely easy process, which was all electronic. They did an enormous amount of work in 9 days (a reasonable amount of time given how busy they must be this time of year). I have used H&R Block in another state and I believe that Liebert Associates may charge less. Will update if something goes awry with the refund or filings, but at this point, I am very satisfied and will unhesitatingly recommend using them to friends and family. read more

Rather than creating a supportive environment where employees could learn and grow, the management approach often felt intimidating and demoralizing. Constructive feedback is important in any workplace, but there is a clear difference between professional guidance and personal attacks. For a company that strives to maintain professional standards, this type of behavior should not be considered acceptable. I believe many employees would be able to perform at a much higher level under stronger, more respectful, and professional management within the Bookkeeping department. That being said, my criticism is directed specifically at Nataliya Prokosheva and her management style within the Bookkeeping department, not at the company as a whole. Although I did not have the opportunity to work directly with the owner of the company, my overall impression of him is positive. Based on the way the company operates and the feedback I heard from both employees and clients, he appears to be a professional and responsible business owner. Thankfully, they reviewed my taxes, made some great suggestions, and I will be staying with them in the future. They are extremely easy to work with and understand customer service as well as they understand the complexities of taxes. The fact they are offering more customer service and important pre-tax season consultations (so you know what to plan for) is great news.

I've used their income tax prep services for about 3 years now. I like that the entire process can…read moreeasily be done via email, and via their secure website portal. When it's time for me to send them my information, copies of forms, etc., they first email me a document that contains about 20 or so items/questions that I need to respond to....things like my full name/address/SS....then info on charitable contributions...stock trades/dividends, etc. The usual. It's very easy to follow along and just answer the questions, save the document and then email it back to them. Uploading copies of 1099 forms, W-2's etc to their website platform is also very easy. In mid-Feb (when it's not quite as busy as say later in March, or early May), they turned around my income tax return in under 2 weeks...and I think closer to 1 week. I definitely recommend them!
