We were referred to Spacewalk of Strongsville by family who have used them for years for inflatables at their annual tent party in Brunswick. My mother started dialogue with the owner, Chris, on July 7. We booked two inflatables (a water slide and a 40 foot obstacle course) on July 12. The inflatables were supposed to be dropped off on the day of the party (July 22) between 8am and noon. At 11:56am, my mother received a phone call from Nick, an employee, who was supposed to set up the inflatables that they would not be coming due to inclement weather. At this point, it was four minutes before the time the inflatables were supposed to be dropped off and set up. At 11:56am the weather forecast was a 20% chance of rain for the next few hours and the rest of the night was clear. Nick gave some answer about the department of agriculture or something and the weather being bad. On Saturday, the "inclement" weather had already occurred much earlier than noon. So when I arrived at the location of the party, my mother informed me what had happened. I immediately called the three numbers that were provided. Finally, Nick answered the phone and I asked him why they would not be coming and he gave the same answer and told me they could not get wet. I suggested that they just bring the water slide. I also told him that I have to been to my family's tent parties when it was storming and down pouring and the inflatables were present. He told me that he would have the owner call me. I'm still waiting. I called all three numbers and left numerous messages including a text to Chris. Nothing. The weather on Saturday was beautiful by the way. On the Spacewalk of Strongsville's page it states that "if rain is predicted on the day of your rental you will be given the option to cancel your rental or reschedule at no cost...". I was given zero options. I hate having to air this but I am putting this out there as a warning to another unsuspecting family who will have to mend a three year olds broken heart on his birthday. It was completely unprofessional.
