Paradise Galleria is the most exciting local vintage store tucked away in Ohio City. The shop impresses with its size, design, and inventory. You can spend an entire day there just playing or searching for treasure. It's such a fun destination that I stopped in on my birthday with friends as part of my birthday itinerary! AMBIANCE: This shop has a playful spirit - a slide, a tub full of fun balls, secret tunnels through fridges, and heart arches. It's like speakeasy meets playground meets estate sale. There's nothing quite like it in CLE. The store is very well curated with different rooms for all thrifter types - kids' rooms with nostalgic toys, man's cave with vinyls, VHS, and vintage tees, lingerie room for romance, home decor space with everything you need to spruce up your kitchen. The perfect spot to procure your Halloween costume or retro party attire. Literally everything you could ever want or reminisce about is here. SHOPPING HAUL: I made a few purchases at this shop. On one occasion I purchased very cool trays for chocolate soirée. The trays were in the pack of 6, wooden, and beautifully crafted (spent around $30). They doubled as hanging decor or serving trays. Most recently I procured a fabulous "ostrich" hat. It was an immediate perfect fit. I refused to take it off while at the store and excitedly purchased it as self gift for my birthday. It was $20 something. You'll see me strolling around in my hat around Ohio City and beyond. Everyone complimented me on my hat all evening. It quickly became a part of me - fabulous. My next purchase will be the trolls. I used to have a huge collection and miss them. Find them in the basement at Paradise Galleria. The prices at this store vary. You'll find some pricey things like an ornate one-of-a-kind mirror then pretty reasonably priced furs. My friends found a lot of nostalgic decor that they felt was pricey. I genuinely think this store has something for every taste and budget. SERVICE: The service is very friendly. Patrons are very friendly and quirky. Staff will be as excited about your finds as you are! PARKING: Most parking is street parking. On weekends you may have to walk a bit to your destination but it's worth it. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and thrift shops in the area to park and make the day of it. I look forward to my next visit to Paradise Galleria. I also plan to attend Paradise Galleria Gala in my ostrich hat (find tickets on their IG)! Stop in to play, explore, and find unique treasures. This is one of a kind destination to tap into your inner child and inner crow!

I kept seeing reels on my Instagram about this Ohio City thrift shop. I knew we had to make a stop here. There is so much to look at and it a little over stimulating but in a good way. You can walk through a refrigerator, into another room, and slide down a slide into the basement. There are different vendors throughout the entire shop. Highly recommend for a little quirky spot, just make sure you plan on spending a bunch of time there if you want to sift through the clothes and other goodies, as there is so much to look at, but in such a fun space.

This is what my aunt would call a nifty store. I first saw a glimpse on someone's instagram and then I bookmarked on Yelp. I loved the first/only reviewer calling it whimsical. It opens at noon Tues-Sunday and the first time I was in the area couldn't wait around that long. The next time, well, we had time. It's a very large space and there is a lot to see. I loved the open fridge door leading to another room. There are stairs leading downstairs, but you can also use the slide in a different back room. Even the lower level has several rooms and a lot of retro clothing, etc. I would recommend going and giving yourself time to browse. It is a bit overpriced, but then it is vintage.

Ok... this place popped up on my insta and it looked like a fun place to kill some time with family visiting. Many of us have lived through the decades on display in this shop and the nostalgia was a lot of fun! The spaces are all very well curated and there were some fun surprises. I am not sharing our slide videos but it's definitely a good time. There's a unique selection of vintage and antique finds. Unfortunately, the prices are very high even for vintage items. So it might be a good place if you are looking for something very specific or a splurge. But it's probably not a good place for bargains. I can't say anything about service because we didn't buy anything but I don't recall being greeted or acknowledged.

A neat store to check out and take the family to see. My girlfriend's daughter really loved the hidden room and slide. A must see for anyone in the area.

Such a fun and whimsical vintage store! Definitely the biggest secondhand store I've been to in Cleveland, with two stories complete with a slide. They have everything from knick knacks for the home to furniture to real vintage clothing. Definitely worth checking out!!

You can access this clothing store from East 4th or 5th Street Arcades (it's attached to the building). I only followed Intro Boutique for eternity on Instagram. I finally wandered in with time to spare prior to the nearby Yelp Elite event. I was pleasantly surprised with the collection.  STORE/INVENTORY: Intro Boutique has two locations in downtown Cleveland. One is this one (9 years in operation), and another by the Rock Hall of Fame (3 years in operation). The brand focuses on attire that is comfortable, trendy, and washes well according to the store employee. For the local fashionistas, the store has casual and business casual attire - sweaters, shirts, butter soft leggings (with pockets!), dresses, silky shirts, well made purses, earrings, rings, adorable clutches and wallets. For self-care queens, shelves with body care items are found throughout the store where you can even smell like "total eclipse." For tourists or CLE lovers, there are cute CLE postcards, magnets, clutches, hats, tees, sweaters, 3D printed script signs, and more. It's the perfect destination to purchase the Land merch or souvenirs from your visit from CLE. You can literally buy postcards for as little as $2 and send some old school love to your loved ones. Overall, the prices range from $30 to $70. Most products sold in stores originate from the USA, Indonesia, and Vietnam just based on reading the labels. I noticed that a lot of garments resemble currently trending fashion and fabrics from fast fashion brands - Rainbow, Target, and others.  DEALS: The store is well stocked for fall with garments in seasonal colors (like rusty orange, and reds). They also have a fall mystery bag sale. You can select a mystery bag in your size - 4 clothing items for $40. I originally considered the bag but the store does not carry my size. I normally wear 2X-3X, their sizes are from S-XL. They mentioned that sizes are pretty generous. I did not try anything to confirm or deny due to being short on time.  SERVICE: The store employee (or one of the owners not sure) was very social and friendly. She mentioned that she'd love to have me back in to do a little fashion show as I try some of the items. I loved that idea!  I look forward to returning to the store to shop for accessories. By the end of the night I decided that I need the wallet with dainty edges from the store! I regret that the clothing won't fit me. I would have loved to own a garment from Intro.

They also happen to be one of the more long-standing local boutiques in the city. I recently dropped in at their Tremont location after walking around in the midst of winter in Tremont, and developing a need for gloves. AMBIANCE: Banyan Tree currently has an inviting window display with a word "Joy." The storefront has two spacious rooms that feel cozy. Inside you'll find wood accents, and a comfy couch to recline while shopping. Checkout is available in the first room as you walk into the space. INVENTORY: The inventory is predominantly women's fashion. You'll find a unifying theme - comforting fabrics, sparkles, and lots of hand-knit accessories. The best way to describe the vibe is lounge chic. The clothes you'll find here will allow you maximum comfort as you venture out in Tremont and beyond. The clothing looks well made and unique while following the latest trends. The prices are on the higher end starting at about $90 something. Accessories are reasonably priced starting at $20 something. I'm not fully satisfied with the clothing inventory because the sizes go up to L and one size. I wear a plus size so I can only drool while looking at the clothing. I wish that I could also shop here and enhance my wardrobe. In that way, sizing is not inclusive. There are also smaller gifts and accessories at the store - journals, books, purses, statues, and more. Few categories have sales - ornaments and summer clothing. The sale is 40% off. MY PURCHASE: I purchased knit gloves from Banyan Tree. The price was $22. The brand is Figwood, was designed by Banyan Tree in Cleveland. It is a brand exclusive to Banyan Tree. It was sustainably produced in Bali. Imagine someone in Bali knitting gloves and knowing nothing about our winters. I find this very endearing. There are plenty other Figwood items for purchase that are made in Bali and Thailand. The gloves have a simple design but are chunky. They also have top of the glove removal so that you don't have to de-glove every single time. I found other glove designs to be awkward. They were missing top part of the fingertips which seems like the very reason you'd glove. Maybe I'm not on trend. They also have very few gloves in store due to the end of season. Seems like the season is just beginning and winter is ramping up. SERVICE: The service is attentive and personalized. I was offered assistance with glove shopping. The sales associate was really warm and friendly. I enjoyed my experience at the store. Unfortunately, I'll probably seldom stop in because the clothing sizes are not accommodating to me. I'll visit once in a while if I'm ever in need of well made accessories or gifts. Most importantly, the store is a feel good store in terms of supporting consciously made clothing and supporting women across the globe.
