One of the better goodwills, their boutique section is large, and they have a good number of dressing rooms.

The selection is decent for clothes, and I used to like coming here for that. What makes this place so bad is the unbelievable amount of time it takes to check out. The wait is usually anywhere from 20-30 minutes in line. They never have enough people at the registers, and those who are there go unbelievably slow to check you out, especially with clothes. I just came here and walked right out because I saw the line.... I don't have time to stand in that. Also, I have a bag of clothes I need to return, and I haven't for that reason. read more

I have never had a problem at Goodwill on Jefferson. Today I have to say they went above and beyond. I was in charge of removing items from a home where the person had to move to an assisted living facility. I made a donation the day before but discovered a very treasured item had been mistakenly taken with the donation. I went into the store as soon as they opened, an associate got a manger for me and I explained the situation. The person went to the back and looked for the item for me. She found it and brought it out to me. Thanking her doesn't seem like enough. I hope this review will let someone know how much I appreciate what was done. read more

I'm shopping at Goodwill and what I found they had a curtain set but they sold each panel separately. This results in a double cost (I won't buy a single panel). This is price gouging. I say this because I come here for a bargain. It's seems some profiteer has developed a way to double profits. Stop it!!! Your overhead is practically zero because someone gifted your stock for the sake of goodwill (verb); Not the corporate entity and it's clever management to raise the corporate share. You are not competing with Walmart. You are to give in heart not to increase. Not fair. The purpose has been mixed up. It is supposed to be where you can get a bargain not increase profit For corporate gain. Don't get me wrong we all should go to the Goodwill. I have for years. Just stop gouging me!!! read more

Usually a pretty good selection and I think the employees do a good job of restocking as fast as they can and trying to keep things organized, they may often be slow but they are usually polite at the resisters and are trying to do a good job. That being said some of the pricing increases lately are a little much, it's like they are boosting the prices too high to accommodate the 1/2 price sales they often have. So is this a little marketing ploy to increase it now and maybe sell it now, but definitely sell it for what it should be priced to begin with during a 1/2 price sale...I guess that's a way to go, but it doesn't seem like something a "charity" store should be doing. I like this Goodwill location the best of those in the Fort Wayne area but my ultimate favorite charity thrift store is Treasure House run by the Fort Wayne Christian Ministry on Coldwater Road; with a close second being the Franciscan Thrift Store on Jefferson Boulevard. Donating and purchasing from both of these organizations helps people in your local community and they have great finds! I donate and shop these both quite often! read more

When it comes to thrifting, I suppose it depends on what you are looking for. In this case I was looking for furniture, and there wasn't any. The selection of glassware was better, and I didn't look closely, but the clothing selection seemed to be very large and well-organized. The reason for the low rating is that I have seen smaller Goodwill stores with more variety and better organization. For as large as it was, I was expecting more. For instance, in Texas, my local Goodwill had an auction section. They would put aside quality items and there would be a silent auction, which concluded each Saturday. I was hoping to see something like that here. In short, I think the Salvation Army and St. Vincent's have more to offer. read more

One fitting room open, another two were locked, and the fourth was being used to plug in a floor polisher. They were polishing the floor at noon on a Friday with a store full of customers. Then there was one SLOOOOWWW cashier and a line 8 people long. I left with nothing bc I was not about to wait half an hour. read more

Small and crowded not much here other than clothes did find a book but then it took me thirty minutes to check out normally would have just left but as all good wills sometimes people watching is worth it definitely a diverse crowd but all where friendly and polite to me. read more
