You've got to go there every time you have a minute. You never know what you're gonna get. My friend got a beautiful 52 inch screen led tv 4K for $90. Ninety bucks !! I just wanted to scream !! I found amazing deals here , just be patient and come check it out often their stuff changes everyday. Expect especially to find the smallest items you've never thought of - but you really need! Those are the best !!

Gamecubes and Xboxes, waiting to be taken home. Only photo I have at the moment.

Just to let you know, this goodwill only has stuff like computer parts, monitors, etc. It's not a regular good will.

Last time I was in here was about 15 years ago. I really saw almost nothing worth buying. However, everyone has different needs so, someone's a customer. Finally,I will admit,a few things out of the " jewelry" case in front were purchased for an art project.

However, my experience today trying to…read moredonate a very nice flat screen new model TV, a very nice commercial quality, paper, shredder, and several hundred dollars of other brand new goods shows why Goodwill industries and others like them are increasingly alienating donors. I understand that charities have space limitations, and that sometimes there are certain items they can't handle. That's why smart donors. Look at the website before they waste their time driving over to that charity to make a donation of gently use business or personal goods. I checked before I came to confirm that Goodwill would accept television, printer, business equipment, and other items that I plan to donate. You can understand then, why I was irritated when the worker arrived after I waited for five minutes for her to come told me while standing in front of the sign that says they take televisions they don't accept TVs. When I told her never mind, I would take my thing somewhere else, she told me she'd be happy to take the other things. Like most contributors, it's a concession to take the time to donate things. I'm not interested in driving all over town wasting gas in time to find which of the contributions listed on their website that Goodwill or another charity doesn't feel like accepting today. I bring good things and I spend good valuable time to deliver them to the location. If I'm gonna have this type of trouble, I'm gonna join the million of other Americans, so no longer contribute. I'll just simply set out the trash and somebody drives by and pick it up. If not, I'll let the garbage have it. I won't drive around, begging charity that asks for donations to accept them when I bring them. Not surprisingly, I won't be coming back, but I will be sharing this review with other people so that they can consider whether they want to waste their support on an organization that may or may not value their donations, time, and other contributions.

The people were always friendly and helpful. Went in there today. The lady at the register was rude actually hateful. The prices are so expensive you'd be better off going and buying it new because if you buy it here your going to pay for it like it's new. They hardly have anything there a used electric stove was $800 dollars. Crazy! I bought mine at best buy outlet for 6 or had a small scratch but new... plus the employees were nice and helpful. I won't be going back

WORST THRIFT STORE IN COLLIN COUNTY. I'd know because I spend most of my time thrifting…read more On my most recent visit to HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE McKINNEY (September 13, 2025) they had a table set up with all kinds of tools and hardware, with a sign attached to the front stating "all items $3.67 each." Great. So I picked out a couple of tools (a small wrench and something else), went up to the counter to pay, and they rung up as $12-something total--or 2x THE PRICE MARKED AT THE TABLE! So I asked the very unfriendly cashier what's up? She said "the sign on the table doesn't refer to ALL the items on the table." ?? So they're mispricing items. They KNOW they're mispricing items. They refuse to honor their own marked prices! The whole building (it's quite large) is a dingy, dirty, smelly industrial zone. It looks and feels like a former factory or automotive manufacturing facility. The building literally doesn't have a floor (the "floor" is actually a parking lot!). No air conditioning, which is excusable, but you'd think they'd be more friendly and organized (and honest) to make up for some of the negatives. No such luck. They do have a nice variety of items--occasional free books by the front door, for example--but the furniture and office chairs have some kind of sticky "film" on them... such that when you touch an item, your hands immediately feel clammy and dirty, as if you just finished cleaning a toilet. A lot of the construction materials (the rear and largest section of the store) are in very poor, secondhand condition; they appear to be leftovers from construction jobs. Many items are very badly broken and damaged. I can't think of anyone who'd want these items for any kind of home improvement project. It's almost like they were sent here from previous Habitat for Humanity projects instead of going to the landfill, where they belong. In the past I enjoyed the occasional visit (and more so since they closed the Plano store), but rarely, if ever, purchased anything. And now, with them not honoring marked prices, it's totally deceitful and dishonest. Not going back.

I have only been an egg donor one time and it has only been with this location. So I can't honestly…read moresay I have "experienced better" because so far this has been my first and only experience with egg donation. I got through the process ok and my money came through but let me tell you it was a WEIRD company to go through. I don't know if I will use them again. FYI If you are a donor and you mess up you get paid NOTHING. If you are a donor and you do your part correctly and the doctors mess up you get 500$ for your time and effort. And if you make it to your extraction day, if they get eggs or not, you get your full amount promised. The information that is listed on their website for donors is adequate. I would like to have more information freely available to me from their website. You print off the donor application form and then mail it in along with pictures of yourself. Upon review they contact you to make an appointment to meet in person to answer any questions, have you fill out more forms, go over the process in more detail and watch an instructional video. Now this is where things got odd in my opinion. I was expecting a doctor's office to meet at or something similar, when I got to the address provided it was in a shabby part of town in a building that did not look like a doctor's office or anything like that. I arrived about 15 min early in order to show them I was serious and would be a good fit. I was very skeptical about the location because I could see no sign on the building. My appointment was for 9am Saturday so I tried to door at 8:45 , locked and obviously closed. Worried, I got back into my car and tried to call the phone number in the email and there was no answer. I sat in my car till 9:05, it was the lady I was waiting for. She said this was her husbands tax office. I watched a video, then she pulled out the form I filled out a few months prior and mailed in. The form had VERY small blanks so I did the best I could to fill it in legibly. She made me go over it with a white out pen and rewrite some things so it can be more anonymous. Also she made me change the way I wrote down the cancer my grandfather had so it sounded less serious. By the time we finished re scribbling over page it really did NOT look professional. She then told me she was just going to scan that sheet in and upload it to my page on their site. Wouldn't it have been easier and more professional looking to just rewrite it? Months later I was selected. When they do email or text me they do respond quickly. I had lots of miss communications with appointments that were infuriating. One appointment I got a call and they scheduled me then sent me a confirmation email stating my time and location. When I go to show up the whole building is closed. I called to see what was happening and was very polite. The response I got was a very rude woman who told me that, "NO YOU are the one who is mistaken. That building is not open on Tuesdays obviously." Sorry lady, I don't often do this so it's not obvious to me. And I sent her a copy of the email I received from her with the wrong date and time I then spoke to my company about her. I later got an apology from the lady. I would say about 35% of my appointments was held up or miss communicated on their end and I found that to be VERY frustrating. Because as I said before, if I fail on MY parts I receive NO compensation whatsoever. So I was constantly terrified that this would be considered my fault. My Doctor was Anil Pinto. And he had NO bedside manor whatsoever. I doubt I will ever donate again with this company because of how he treated me. He was always short in his tone, if I had questions it was just "no." or "yes." Never, "no, because of...." Or any explanation. I was SO uncomfortable with him. I always kept them up to date on my medicine and let them know how much I had. When they would call me to up my dosage I would again remind them how soon I would run out. Apparently he didn't pay any attention to that because he told me not to worry and that he had more medicine for me at his office. When I got to his office he then got mad at me and lectured me about how irresponsible I was for letting myself get so low. He told me he didn't have enough so I guess the cycle is compromised and walked away. I was literally 9 days away from extraction so I was NOT going to let him just turn me away. I was not going to go through ALL of those injections for NO money. I reminded him of what he told me on the phone and how many times I let him and nurses know that I was getting low and needed more. I guess he knew I was telling the truth because he managed to find some for me. I was SHOCKED at how easy it was for him to just turn away that showed me that he thought that poor couple's money spent on me was wasted and now I was just full of useless eggs. If I had not stood my ground I think he really would have just not tried and walked away! The extraction team was all

You don't move to the City of Excellence to be average. Thank God I ain't average!…read more I moved into my new home in Plano two weeks ago and the water towers say it all. I'm right where I belong, in the City of Excellence ;) here's the thing... you aren't excellent if you aren't leaning in to help others. I'm passionate about a ton of things, giving back to others is one of the most important. I rescheduled my every 56 days blood donation to a nearby American Red Cross but being in my new town for two weeks seeing all that it gives, I knew it was time to research how I can make an immediate impact. North Texas Food Bank was a result of my research and I'm so excited about today's effort. After relocating I suppose it's quite fitting to select "Pack and Box" it's literally all I'd been doing the past few weeks, why stop now?!! I had the greatest first time volunteer experience. I signed up last night right before bed because and knew I was going to the gym at 6a with my neighbor so I selected the 1p (arrive by 1230p) time slot. Creating a new volunteer account was super straight forward. I was adding this event to my calendar within minutes. I was greeted by the sweetest ladies upon arrival, offered a locker key (wear a fanny pack if you don't have pockets and wish to bring your phone in) as you aren't wearing aprons. I left my phone in the locker. We did a brief orientation, hand washing and then volunteered for our assignments. I've put together a ton of boxes lately, so I opted for packing. I'm not certain I've ever handled so much boxed milk in my entire lifetime! I was first in the assembly line working hand in hand with Apple juice volunteer and let me just say, we did the damn thang!!! It was such a fun experience I never took a single break. My right arm will soon remind me of this fact. We packed 960 boxes, totaling 20 pallets, weighing 28,800 lbs, creating 24,000 meals! I'm a numbers nerd and love the data following your shift. It makes it that much more rewarding. Impact you can see and feel. There were several corporate groups, families and solo volunteers. Everyone was very kind. I'll definitely be volunteering here on a regular basis as my schedule provides. Thank you so much North Texas Food Bank! As a foodie, meals for those in need is a cause I hold near and dear to my heart. Highly recommend if you're looking to serve others. There are a variety of opportunities. I selected this one today but I may explore others in the near future. Hands down a superb way to spend 3 hours, and the warehouse is nice and cool on a warm day. Perfect place to volunteer in the summer (:
