This one does not offer the senior discount most of them do. It used to be really bad, it smelled bad and was just junky... about a year ago it changed to better. I've been a few times and never had an issue, til now. I went to the cashier with no one in line.... One item did not have a price, so she called "management " meantime scanning the other items..... granted I should have had my mind made up BEFORE checkout, but while waiting for management I had a change of heart on one of the items I'd had to put aside, the cashier was dumbfounded and asked me if she'd already scanned everything... she had.. but we're still waiting for the price on the unmarked item, I told her I wanted to change one item for the one I'd had the change of heart on..... by now there are 5 people in line behind me so I said I'd pay for what she'd rung up... about then manager shows up, cashier says I wanted to change one item -- it would be an additional $2 so I had that ready... manager says NO, once the item is scanned its irreversible.... I cannot change my mind I cannot exchange I cannot return a scanned item. As I was walking away I reminded her the item id originally asked about didn't have a price tag.... Mgr says she'll call for a price--- I said cashier had already done that, and walked out. I'm still steamed about this.... Like many I've donated tons of stuff to "goodwill"..... many do accept exchanges, offer senior discounts even returns. The notion that they are a for profit institution rings clear now. I will not be seen in this one again. This was absurd. No stars but had to let others know.

If…read moregoodwill cared about the customers they would have hired someone to manage the changing rooms instead of publishing those of us that want to see if the clothes look good. Any excuse is not useful for removing the changing rooms instead of hiring someone to manage them like Walmart, Ross and Marshalls do. Extremely disappointed especially since the return policy isn't getting your money back it's only store credit.

BEAR is a wonderful community resource 501(c)3 organization dedicated to helping foster children in…read moreHarris County. Specifically making sure that children who are removed from their homes have everything they need for the first 48 hours after placement, and then providing ongoing support to foster families in other ways. One of their big drives is during Christmas and making sure that every foster child has presents waiting for them under the tree, and if you stop and think what Christmas presents for 16,000 children look like you might realize why they need hundreds of volunteers for 3 weeks of the year! I've only volunteered during the last few Christmas seasons but if you want to give back to an organization that really strives to put the needs of some of the most vulnerable children in our city first, BEAR is an easy choice. They have online and in-person options for support, and they need volunteers and donors to keep them afloat every year- they are not funded by taxes. The people running the place are friendly, helpful, and you can tell they really care about kids. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're looking for a way to give back to your community!

The bad won't like this place, but the good will…read more This is the Goodwill on Wirt, where you can stop off and make donations. A lot of it will then end up at the outlet nearby on Long Point. It's good that they have these, and the whole charity think it's a great concept. It's a little cramped in here, not always friendly, but good concept, and keeping it separate was a nice idea, but annoying if you want to both drop off and buy.

I came in here looking for one specific thing that i actually found and I also got 5 other items just because I couldn't resist. They have a number of name brand items, all that I saw was in a great shape and the staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The store is bright and well organized. I think I am going to have to come in weekly. I haven't been to goodwills in years because the disorganized crammed clothes racks deterred me. That is absolutely not the case for this store. Also - they have the sizes for each piece of clothing on a little tag so that you don't have to dig for each label. Overall, amazing shopping experience and I will be back.
