Parting ways... This…read moreWaipahu Salvation Army was an unexpected stop but since I was in the area I did a search and was surprised to see that they have one in this location. Not the largest space but with some parking for convenience along with donation drop off in the back was questionable as the staff was nowhere to be found as I had to walk up the steps and literally walk in to give them my items and that's all I had to say about it sadly. What's worse is their thrift store which don't get me wrong is nicely organized with decent amount of clothing and a few furniture but that's about it very little inventory and it felt like the leftover from other thrift shops many of the various items was bad as I was searching for items to purchase but it seems like this location is very much in need for donations. And the store manager (Mary) was awesome made me feel so comfortable and her customer service was on point . All her workers were working no one was sitting down they were getting the job done even the donation attendant he was processing and tagging items . Best Store ever .ill be going there more often .

Using Google Maps, I found this GreenDrop trailer in the parking lot of Christ Lutheran Church... how interesting! The guy in the trailer was polite and pleasant. After I gave him my boxes, I asked if he needed my phone number... Yes! He entered my number onto the tablet. I received an email soon after. I'll print out this receipt when I find a printer... Thank you for the efficiency! Note: This location publicizes that it's connected with the American Red Cross. Hours of operation: Monday to Saturday from 8:30am to 5pm. Sundays from 9am to 4pm.

Mililani is greener…read more.. Since i was in the area finding a Green Drop here in Mililani is a great convenience as I'm able to drop my donation in a green bin located right in front of the large trailer that's parked in the lot of Christ Lutheran Church on Hokuwelowelo Place or the easiest description is across Town Center of Mililani. You just can't miss the huge green trailer a trademark that makes it easy to find and the staff here is very nice and helpful if you need assistance though i had some bags of clothing in an unused luggage love that each location is sponsored by a non profit and this one is by American Red Cross. Here in Hawaii recycling is important and donate items are going to some great cause is easy with some charities that will transform it with your items. Thank you!

Happy Earth Month…read more.. Impulsive retail therapy eventually does have some consequences and though I do still have difficulty parting with many items that bring me joy it doesn't mean that it will give others joy as well. Savers is here for one of the reasons and knowing that it's going to a good cause does makes me feel better especially as many do shop here for various reasons finding that items does makes it all worth while. They also give you a discount coupon for your donation to which you can shop and find items at an even greater deal with that coupon so it's a win win situation...and yes I do shop and have found items here as well so don't think that you won't it just takes a bit of search and you never know what you'll find. As I was driving in Pearl City I noticed a Salvation Army bin at the corner of my eye and wondered if they were open for donations as I do have some items I need to drop off and went right around the corner and found the container in the lot of the Joy of Christ Church. It seems like services are over and the lot was completely empty as I parked right beside it I could hear music and saw there was a gentleman there in the almost bare container...sob! He was such a delight and told him that I had no idea it was here and he says there was a sign but was told it needed to be taken down was sad to hear as this type of services are in need and as he sat in the bar container on a Sunday afternoon he was so bright and cheerful with a great smile it was a positive vibe that really stuck with me and was so happy to have donated some items that will go to great homes. Located in Waipahu Town Center, this location of Goodwill shares the free parking lot with Longs Drugs Store, Seafood City, and Starbucks. I found a parking space right in front and entered the nicely air-conditioned store. What a relief! The two clerks were assisting customers. I placed my donation in the bin and waited for a receipt. No problem! It's a nice feeling to free up some space in the house and do something good for a charity! Afterward, I browsed around and noted that red tagged items were half off this week. Luckily, I didn't find anything and walked out a happy camper! I wonder if I should go to Goodwill Goes Glam Event this weekend???
