Went there with my mom, and bought make up for $1.99! I like their new location! There's so much stuff, I could spend a day there!

We went to the new location for the first time and most likely will not be returning. First of all, we weren't greeted upon walking in, even though the salesperson was standing right there. However, the next person who entered was greeted and informed of the current specials, probably because it was her kind (haole). Secondly, the prices went up significantly! These are mostly used items and should be at least half the listed prices, if not cheaper! You can get NEW items at other retailers for way less. We used to be regulars at the old location and found some great deals but now I don't think we'll be back. read more

My experience was good, but what I saw was disgusting, I saw a production manager berating an employee in front of everyone out in the parking lot!!! That poor person didn't know whether they were coming and going! I will keep looking to see if I can find a complaints department but I have so far been unable to locate the proper channels! read more

Solid Goodwill, and I always seem to walk out with something. Lots of brand new, withtags Target merchandise. My only issue with the Goodwills I've been to in Hawaii are the set prices for things such as all shorts 6.99, all dresses 9.99, etc. Sometimes, there are clothing items falling into these set prices that sell for less in the stores. Housewares fall into this hard when a cruddy item might be marked the same as an unused item. Doesn't make sense to me. I understand conveinance for the staff, but as the consumer, it is hit or miss and can deter me from buying at times. Staff are helpful and friendly. The store is always very clean and organized. read more

I went there today and I never will go back again everything is over priced ridiculous what is Goodwill thinking need to get rid of those clothes it's all donated it's horrible I started sneezing because there is so much old fabric of clothes in there I need to put everything on sale and get rid of it‍ I will just shop at Walmart and target I will get Brandnew things for my money. read more

This goodwill was so clean and organized. All isles were apart perfectly. The clothes were organized well and in each apart. It has alot of clothes for women and men. Some for kids too. Kids clothes were only $2.99 each and some were 50% or 20% off. Great deals for kids clothes. (I didn't check out the ladies clothes) Got my son batman shoes that light up for only $5 read more

Goodwill puna Kai shopping center; Terrible, terrible customer service. Even considering coronavirus precautions they don't make any sense. Went there with my son because he needed slippers, stood first In line for 15 minutes only for Four employees to leave the store & a worker telling me I could go inside but my son could not because only one person could go inside. After asking why he couldn't come with me, or if we waited until two was allowed & they kept insisting "no". I don't understand?? They rather me lock him in the car or let him stand along outside... wake the fuck up. read more

This Goodwill store had a lot of nice clothes. It was well organized & clean. If you're ever on one of the islands & in need of certain clothes for your day's activity, but you don't feel like paying an arm & a leg, go visit their local thrift stores. We were heading to Mauna Kea from a morning trip & I realized that I'd forgotten to bring my sweats. I didn't want to spend $20+ on a pair of pants that I will only need to use for an hour, so I quickly started thinking about what other cost effective options I had. I'm glad that we were near a Goodwill at that moment. I saw quite a few gently used designer brand clothing starting at only $6.99. Lots of Hawaiian shirts & dresses. Had I not packed so much clothes on this trip already I would've grabbed a few more items! read more

I have always been a big fan of Goodwill Industries today unfortunately the customer service was atrocious and required me to leave my purse / mini backpack at the register in order to enter into the store. The manager then proceeded to antagonize and harass us when trying to purchase a toy for my child. This is not the way to treat members of our community. read more

This is one the worst goodwills I have ever been to. They have the dumbest return policy. You get 3 days to return an item for credit only, and then your credit lasts just 2 weeks...basically stealing your money. The employees also create unsafe conditions by turning off the lights at 5:30 when they close at 6, leaving you to shop in the dark. It takes less than one minute to turn off all the lights, no need to leave your patrons in the dark a half hour before closing. read more

Terrible place to shop now days. Prices are not cheap as before. Some are expensive. Alot of the stuff they try to sell is rubbish. I saw prices of items that were the same price as what it is sold at Walmart and Target. You would think they would price items alot less then what it is sold retail since all they sell are donated. It appears goodwill has become a money profit business instead a place of helping the public. The place is so hot its almost unbearably. They have ridiculous policies that causes shoppers baskets to get mixed up with each other causing shoppers to get upset with them and other shoppers. Very bad management in my opinion. read more

It was a very interesting store layout. All the clothing was in very good condition I would say; I was happy to find nice hoodies and aloha shirts without holes stains etc. The womens and mens sections were pretty disproportionate, it made it hard looking for things just in one size. read more

I love a good deal! This is the place for that if you're willing to take a risk with the parking. This location is right off Highway 11 and if there are no stalls, (6 or less) you have to reverse back onto the Highway. Sketchy! Here's the trick, drive towards the back, (there should be an open area closed off to parking) and do a 3 point turn to get out without reversing all the way. Hot warehouse! With all the searching that you'll be doing, make sure that you are in cool clothes (If not, go in the Men's section/Dressing Rooms, AC in there!) I love that there is a student discount on Sundays (Just bring in a current and valid college ID) Keep an eye out for Target brands. Old unsold items are donated to Goodwill. Found Missoni items there 3 months after its release at Target. Recently got a printed Mossimo rain jacket that I was eyeing out at Target for $6.75. Sweet deals! Love to look through the shorts and jeans section for Bongo's and Levi's that I could use for DIY projects. (studding and distressing) Great place for teacher and school supplies as well. Scored on pocket charts and dry erase boards for 50 cents. Go regularly to get better deals. read more

First of all it's dangerous the highway is so close, busy street, the parking is horrid, you go in one way very hard to turn around, squeezeyyyy out, oh dear! I've been to other Goodwill Hawaii and this one is pretty good. I like how they have everything organized with household goods, clothes, books, mens clothes, etc being filed in their respective areas. They screen their donations so most of what was out for sale was in pretty good condition or working. The one bad point is their parking and if you have a large car, it's better to reverse in their slots than park going forward. They could improve things by designating the front of the store as being a no parking zone or only being used for people donating goods. Other than that, they're a pretty good place to shop for gently used items at a good price. read more

I found this store pretty easily and it was open on Sunday. The parking is a bit treacherous, but as a previous reviewer suggested I parked near the back and was able to turn around to get back out. They have a wide selection of Hawaiian wear and swimsuits just in case you lost yours. You could buy tee shirts for gifts or a suit to look for a job. The workers were pleasant and I got myself a great $4 Aloha shirt for the road. Enjoy the savings and hang out with the locals where they shop. This is not for upscale vintage buyers, just regular people. read more

I always visit the Kanoelehua location, and while the parking is pretty bad, I always find really great deals! I've purchased brand new shoes with the tags still on, brand new clothing (again with tags still on) and very nice crystal wine glasses and beautiful dishes. Target donates a lot of clothes to this location, and while I don't know what days they get the merchandise, they almost always have racks of brand new clothing that Target has donated at super cheap prices! Check this place out, especially if you have growing kids! read more

Wow, this has to be one of the nicest Goodwill's I've been to. Everything is well organized and it doesn't feel dirty and cluttered like some. Also, they don't ship all the good stuff to a sorting facility like majority of the store. The only drawback was parking; the spaces are small and the single lane is even worse. read more

I used to be a regular at the Goodwill Thrift Store when they were located in their other location on Kalanianaole. Now that they have moved their parking suck, and the people that work in there are just down right NASTY. The first incident was when I went to purchase a purse.. there was no price on it, I told the lady I found it in a bin & was told that the price will be HIGHER now.. they tried to charge me $13.00 for a used purse.. The second incident was today, I went looking for desk supplies but found a couple pieces of clothing and a cute Halloween mask.. I was going to try it on but there was no one by the dressing rooms.. I waited and finally the lady came back and even though I was standing there she proceeded past me and went on her way sweeping.. I asked to try on.. she said I can put my other items in a basket.. I said ok, I have 2 dresses and a mask.. NO! You cannot take the mask in the dressing room.. you can try it on with the mirror over there.. I did as I was instructed. I decided I didn't want the masked and laid it on the shelf next to the mirror.. When I went to go into the dressing room she began asking, wheres the mask, wheres the mask, I said calm down, its on the shelf... PLease don't insinuate that I am trying to steal a $3.00 Halloween Mask, Her reply: You can talk to my manager, I am just doing my job.. she let me in the dressing room and slammed the door behind me... EXCUSE ME... WTF, who the heck you think you are???? I didn't do a thing to this lady to be treated in this manner, PLease, make sure that your employees get the proper customer training. The GOODWILL makes plenty of money for a company that pays their CEO hundreds of thousands of dollars and resells donated item.. this is no way to treat customers... Honolulu stores are very friendly and they have sales, lots of sales...they don't make you count items to try on, or have a key for the dressing rooms... The staff at the HILO Goodwill need to take lessons from the staff at any of the Oahu Goodwill.... I give this store 5 thumbs down... go get a life and remember you live Hawaii, try being ALOHA P.S.
