I've bought everything from MCM wicker to homemade plaster face masks-- who I have named are Harold and Sam-- to odds and ends dinnerware and appliances. (Did you know you can still find glass Tang pitchers??) I'm also a huge fan of their photo frames and art collection... Everything is priced to move, and I have bought beautiful antique frames for my own artwork for a fraction of the typical cost. These prices can't be beat! I'm addicted to this experience, and we go out of our way to visit Granny each time we come to Warren. She is the best! I have found a friend in her and it makes it even more fun to visit the store. You really won't often get this kind of special interpersonal interaction at a store anymore. This place is a cannot-miss if you're into affordable antiques and cleaned up secondhand pieces. Everything there begs to come home with me. It's both amazing and horrible, lol. Also, fwiw, this place is quietly/modestly a gay- and trans- friendly environment. As a trans person, I have never once felt unwelcome, nervous, or shit on in here. The staff is lovely, and Granny is literally everyone's grandma. Gotta love a welcoming, normal, safe space! ‍‍ Thanks to Yankee Trading Post in Warren, I have been able to painlessly decorate my new place to match how I always pictured it in my mind.

Randomly happened past this business on a Sunday afternoon and decided to pop in for a stroll…read morearound. I was instantly amazed by the sheer size of the place. They have SO many aisles and rooms and corridors full of merchandise ranging from antiques to home goods, video games, jewelry, halloween costumes, and clothing. There's a small station up front with boxed wine and cups to help you enjoy your visit. I thought most of the vendors had very reasonable prices throughout their booths and several were running sales. The women working behind the counter were very friendly. I'm only docking it one star because they had no bathroom inside, only a port-o-potty outside behind the building that looked exactly like you'd expect a makeshift bathroom outside to look/smell..

And let me tell you--what a magical mistake it turned out to be! The Wizard of Oz was my grandmother's and my favorite movie to watch together, so stumbling upon Wizard of Odds Thrift Store felt like a little nudge from the universe. This place just keeps going and going, with endless surprises, trinkets, oddities, and treasures tucked into every corner. It truly feels like stepping into another world. Somehow, I found exactly what I was looking for--even though I didn't know I was looking for it! If you ever get the chance, definitely stop by and explore. You never know what wonderful things you might find.

He Talked over me every time I tried to talk, not letting me complete one sentence. The best way I can put it is the definition of condescending in its truest form: Behavior or language showing a patronizing, superior attitude, where someone acts as if they are better, more intelligent, or more important than others.

Full disclosure - I grew up around the corner from Michael Press. But while we've known each other…read morefor decades, that only matters because its the reason I went to Mike for an engagement ring in the first place. However, it does not, for a moment, affect this review. Sometime a while back, I knew I was going to propose to my lovely fiance (spoilers! she said yes), and started shopping for a ring. Researched the important factors and started looking around, and while i found a lot of nice rings, nothing that really called to me. It was a frustrating process, culminating in buying what I thought would be the perfect ring online, only to return it. That was probably the lowest moment, and so I took a break in my ring shopping. Fast forward some months later, and I saw someone else from my hometown post photos on social media of a beautiful designer engagement ring from Mike Press, and so I reached out to Mike. I had no idea what I wanted, even after all that shopping, and couldn't have been more nervous. I didn't want to design a custom ring, because I have the imagination of a piece of wood, so I relied on Mike to ask the right questions and pick out a number of options. He was patient, detailed in his explanations of various rings and options, and came up with a number of beautiful suggestions. Nevertheless, I still could not make a decision. I was scared of completely screwing this up. I asked a million questions, then disappeared for weeks while I thought about it, only to come back and ask more questions. Mike never brushed me off or decided I wasn't going to be a sale - he just kept helping me along. In the end, not only did Mike find a beautiful diamond but he held it for me in spite of having other interested parties. Sent me photos, videos, descriptions, etc until I was finally able to pull the trigger. With the perfect diamond, he then suggested what ended up being the perfect setting to go with it. I was so trilled with what he put together that I wasn't even worried about whether or not Melissa would like it. Again, it was perfect. I wish I could find more good things to say. This was an incredibly stressful and nerve wracking process but Mike made it easy in the end. I was glad to give the business to someone I've known my whole life, but even still, was not expecting the kindness, patience, and helpfulness to the degree Mike provided. He bent over backwards to make this easy.
