I had no idea just how massive this place was from the outside. I purchased one of those old time plastic popcorn holiday decorations that were massively popular in the 70s. My mom had many of these for the holidays and I've managed to uncover a few of them for my house. It always makes me think of her. On this visit, I saw a very unique one that was a hippie love sign. It was a little out of my price range, but my kids insisted I go back and get it. I reluctantly agreed, and the shopkeeper was so nice to let me get it despite actually being closed. She told me these signs used to cost $2 a piece. I definitely paid a lot more than that! But am so happy whenever I see it in our window.

Presentation, cleanliness, and ease of browsing, accounts for the majority of stars for this 2 level shop. Bonus stars are for the comraderie felt during the lively, and entertaining exchanges that took place with the operators of this establishment. Hard work and devotion is truly one of the factors that has led them to their 20 plus years of operation. Only comment is that pricing seemed erratic amongst some of the various vendors. Prices are negotiable, and layaway is offered. Nice place to spend a weekend afternoon.

This is a quirky store that fits in for the area. I actually never heard of it until I saw the map. Ken's sits in a position that overlooks Route 219 and is about a mile or two from the exit. Not much else up herein terms of shopping beside the thrift store. Parking lot is a bit tricky as it is gravel and not marked in anyway. Once inside you are greeted by several different rooms that are filled with stuff. It definitely covers all departments that you would find at a store. Not as large as you would find in a typical store, but definitely covers a fair share. Like many stores like this, some of the items on the shelf could be questionable. Read that as some packages are damaged, maybe some are near their sell by date. One last thing, go by their Facebook page not their webpage.

Along the items when I visited were jewelry, clothes, candle holders, lip gloss, spices, and greeting cards. Every item tells you where it was made with many telling the story of the makers. I love the idea of Fair Trade, but I also love being able to buy or gift something that's unique and not available in every Walmart in America. I would suggest stopping by this store if you ever need that perfect gift.
