Patti & Mia have done a great job in carrying basic pieces, shoes, accessories and all clothing a person would need! Finally we can go somewhere local to shop for cute things! I…read morehad actually walked in to initially ask a question about a Fall Festival that was advertised in the local "magazine." (I'm from NY and had never been to this part of PA). I was told, rather rudely, that the festival is held the first TWO weeks of October, and I was clearly mistaken that it was happening this weekend since it was already the third week in October. I explained that I had read about it and was told, "no, you are wrong". She then went on to say the way to remember it is that it is the FIRST TWO WEEKS of October every year! Ummm, I'm here for the weekend and probably won't ever be back, so I really don't CARE if it is held every year. I only cared about this year! I can assume that this was the owner because, looking at pictures online, I saw her nametag and recognized who was speaking to me in such a derogatory way. Another man appeared; not sure if he was an employee, but he was kind. He said it was a mistake that could easily happen. I said ok, is there anything else happening around here this weekend? The owner suddenly went mute and didn't say a word, and this man didn't reply either. It was like I was invisible, and I was totally ignored. Hmmmm, that's not a great way to do any business! At that point, I left, feeling like an idiot. About a half hour later, I RETURNED to the store after finding the exact same local Bedford magazine in the town. I talked to another employee who looked at the magazine and said oh my, THEY MADE A MISTAKE and put the date for the festival as THIS weekend in here, but the festival is over. It's a typo, and I'm SO SORRY!! I told her she didn't have to apologize to me, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy! She was very sweet and then said there is a Pumpkin Festival happening in Old Bedford, a few miles away. She also said you are free to shop around our store as well! I thanked her but thought there was no way on EARTH I would give the owner my business. Yes, you have a lovely store but calm down--you are located in a small little PA town. Your snooty attitude wouldn't last 10 minutes in a big city!! **PS the Pumpkin Festival was awesome, and we had a great time! This witch of an owner did NOT spoil my day!!

Employees, and owner, look down at you and speak that way to you while in the store as if you they…read moredo not care if you are there, or not. If you do not purchase anything you are even talked about as you leave the store with genuine disregard for your respect and dignity! They might have 'high-end' clothes for that area of the world, but let them get out of that small town and come into the real world where the owner will quickly realize how insignificant they really are in the world of they ever left Bedford County!

Happily, the Good 2 B Home, next door, was open. Proprietor Shelley Wertz was minding the shop, so we wandered around this charming, eclectic & really lovely shop. This is not your 'run of the mill' gift shop. There are items from local producers & artists are really 'cool stuff. Particularly, we liked the industrial-looking lamps that had usb & plug outlets. Really cool! Shelley could not have been more helpful & kind. Needless to say, we'll be back! (Hopefully at a time we can get coffee next door!)

If you need some smoke alarms, most of the time they will have some. And have a bunch different hardware, even the whole carpet shelf. And I vintage Polaroid for 40 bucks. and the person the cash was really nice too. I really like how they are using an old building for the original purpose. Advertised as an indoor flea market it was so much more! It was like a craft fair, hardware store, appliance and carpet store, grocery store, pallet buyout, Co op antique store all rolled into one. Prices were reasonable but retail. Not flea market prices that leave room for us resellers, but there were some interesting things. My friend was able to find a vintage clarinet and I was able to get glue and a candy bar, so it was one stop shopping. The store is very large with ample parking for trucks and rvs and located right off a major highway. While I wish the prices were a little more reseller friendly, I would stop again to browse their interesting mix of inventory.

I had no idea just how massive this place was from the outside. It is like one big scavenger hunt…read moreinside that seems to wind endlessly through vendors and just when I thought it was done, I discovered there was a whole lower level. The staff was so kind. I purchased one of those old time plastic popcorn holiday decorations that were massively popular in the 70s. My mom had many of these for the holidays and I've managed to uncover a few of them for my house. It always makes me think of her. On this visit, I saw a very unique one that was a hippie love sign. It was a little out of my price range, but my kids insisted I go back and get it. I reluctantly agreed, and the shopkeeper was so nice to let me get it despite actually being closed. She told me these signs used to cost $2 a piece. I definitely paid a lot more than that! But am so happy whenever I see it in our window.
