I like our local Savers, and for the most part, the employees are engaging and friendly. Either the…read moreprices are outrageous, or they are relatively fair, there's no in-between. The store has the typical 'thrift' feel: somewhat dirty, a little unorganized, slight smells throughout. I love when I can find a new plant pot or a funky knick-knack! My biggest complaint: manager Bethany. She is downright terrible. She doesn't move. She plants herself in one spot and eats and gossips and rolls her eyes when a manager is needed. I've also seen how she interacts with the employees. She goes out of her way to let everyone around her know that she is reprimanding and demeaning an employee, most likely right there in the middle of the sales floor or at the register. She's also lacking customer service. A woman in front of me did a return and Bethany wouldn't honor the return because the tags weren't attached. However, the customer said the tags were attached through both sides of the shirt and it was impossible to try it on without removing the tags, and she even reminded Bethany that Bethany was the one who checked her out and she pointed it out to Bethany and Bethany told her that it would be ok, and Bethany's response was, "Well, that's too bad.", threw the shirt on the counter, told the cashier to not accept the return, and walked away.

Calling this place a Savers is comical. I love thrifting and I go as often as I can and in as many…read morestates as I can. This is without a question the most expensive thrift store I've ever seen. For example: books start at $4 and I saw up to $10, men's jeans $13-15, you can see in my picture a random, no label dress is $19. The only thing in the store that was reasonably priced was board games. If you're not looking for that I would avoid at all costs (and they'll be high!)

I want to update that after working directly with the team at Frost River. They followed through and made it right. The waist belt arrived as promised, and it's exactly what I expected. I also received clear clarification that the belt is intended more for stability than true load-bearing, which helped set appropriate expectations for how this pack is designed to perform. More importantly, I want to acknowledge how this was handled. Richard and the team took the feedback seriously, made meaningful updates to their product page to prevent future confusion, and went above and beyond with thoughtful extras and a handwritten note. That level of accountability goes a long way. The pack itself is outstanding--top-tier craftsmanship, materials, and build quality. In the end, they stood behind both their product and their customer, and I'm glad to be keeping it.

Quality made products that also have some serious appeal to them as well, very nice looking and feeling. An easy store to get lost in, not lost as in cannot find your way but lost in the enjoyment of browsing and shopping. Some items are a tad on the speedy side BUT, you get what you pay for here.
