Looks like almost all DFW Goodwills and filling their racks with damaged goods. I shop Goodwill multiple times a week since 2017. THIS IS DELIBERATE! They have also increased prices. You can shop new at Department stores and get better deals when they have a sale. Almost all sport coats and suits are damaged. They normally would not have put this out, but this is now the standard of Goodwill. read more

I won't be donating to Goodwill anymore. I was sitting in my vehicle waiting to pull up to donate one bag of clothing and after waiting for one patron to unload his trailer full of whatever it was, I proceeded to back out to pull into a space directly in front of the drive through. I was then told that I could not bring my one bag to the door and that I had to get in the drive through line if I wanted to donate l. I asked the attendant how much longer would it be ( after waiting nearly 10 minutes in the line)... he said he didn't know but however long it took for the current patron to finish unloading his truck full of stuff. How ludicrous to suggest I must wait however long to donate and that I couldn't just give another attendant my bag of items by just parking my vehicle and walking up there to the donate area. I'd rather give my things to the person in the street now after this incident!!! read more

Customer Service I came to donate some very nice women's clothing that was neatly folded in boxes. It was about 30 minutes before the store opened. I drove up to the donation area and thought it would be ok to nicely and respectfully put the boxes under the covered area at the donation door because that's what is allowed at another location so I thought it was allowed at all locations. At one time even this location allowed donators to leave items next to the donation door under the covered awning when the store is not opened. I thought I was being helpful, but apparently I was not because a young man opened the door, picked up the box, and stormed over to my car yelling at me and saying "OH NOOOOOO!!!! NO NO NO NO MA'AM!! YOU WILL NOT JUST DUMP YOUR ITEMS HERE. YOU TAKE THEM BACK. WE ARE CLOSED AND YOU COME BACK DURING OPEN HOURS. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO JUST DUMP YOUR STUFF HERE!!" He went on and on yelling at me and being extremely rude in a very hateful manner to me. I tried to explain to him that I didn't know I couldn't drop off my items and that some of the other locations allow that and are thankful for that. He continued to yell at me saying "YOU COME BACK DURING OPEN HOURS!!!". I was shocked by how hatefully and rude he approached me and chose to handle the communication with me. It was an honest mistake I made. I'm not only a donor of very well taken care of items, but also a customer that shops at goodwill, as well. The way this associate chose to communicate with me by yelling at me and assuming I was "just dumping my junk" was uncalled for and inexcusable. I understand he has to do his job, but there should be a mandatory customer service training class for all employees of Goodwill and guidelines on how to communicate to customers and donors, and the public in general. When I said I was just trying to be helpful and tell him he didn't have to be rude and hateful towards me, he yelled some more yelling, "I'M DOING MY JOB!! YOU WILL NOT DUMP STUFF HERE!!" Then he shoved my box of clothing back into my car and stormed off. I asked him what his name was and he refused to give it to me yelling, "YOU DONT NEED TO KNOW MY NAME!! YOU DONT NEED TO KNOW MY NAME!!" and then he stormed back into the store and locked the door. I understand now that maybe they deal with people just dumping their unwanted items often at their donation door during closed hours and that it Agitates them immensely by the way he acted and treated me as a human being and donor. He should be taught proper customer service skills and dealing with the customer/public in a very productive and professional manner if he's an employee at their store. The way this young man chose to encounter me and hatefully yell at me for making an honest mistake was unacceptable and an employee that does something like that should be reprimanded and taught proper customer service skills going forward. After all, he's the only representative of this company that I came in contact with and he showed me that this Goodwill is one I never want to go back to ever again because of how hateful the employee was to me, and I probably won't go back to any Goodwill to donate or shop anymore. Employees should never be allowed to act the way he did. It was uncalled for and unappreciated. I was just trying to be helpful and didn't realize that I was making a mistake. From now on I'll donate my items to the Salvation Army and other Thrift Stores, instead of Goodwill since they do not want or appreciate my act of giving. I hope this young man decides to handle situations in a better and more professional manner in the future. read more

I got 2 blankets an 4 books for $15, you can't beat that! The lady at the register was very sweet and helpful. They had a decent assortment of things at this location. I recommend if you are in the neighborhood, to stop and check this Goodwill out! read more

This is my favorite goodwill location. I have found SO MANY hidden gems in here it's insane. I would honestly rate this place 41/2 stars if I could. The only thing I was disappointed by was the complete abs total lack of any furniture and an extremely limited book selection. Other than that, the staff is always nice and things seem to be kept fairly clean. read more

I'm talking old clothes that is years old for the price of what it would cost NEW Ain a store.. it is ridiculous considering everything was donated. Organized and sectioned off. The dressing rooms were messy and some locks weren't working, so best to always be on guard. If you're looking for vintage looking clothes not the best place to come, but they have some quality trendy clothing. It's very seasonal clothing based. The lowest prices they have is usually 2.99 and when it's a specific color tag sale, they are nowhere to be found. There was a 50% off on blue tags and I had not seen not one blue tag. So in the end, expect a long receipt. read more

If you are searching for furniture, don't stop here. There is none. We didn't look at clothing, but a basic wine glass priced at $2.99. That's too much for a thrift store- might as well get new at TJ Maxx. We did find an old Wii Guitar with no price. The cashier was kind and efficient pricing it and cashing us out. read more

I really like this location, the staff is friendly and always eager to help, seems that they changed manager because before the prices were completely crazy like, $4.99 for a dollar store vase, but lately the prices are more reasonable and that's the reason that the store sometimes look kind of empty, otherwise is my fav spot for treasure hunting read more

I have been donating very nice clothes and household items to Goodwill for many years but the experience I have had during the last 2 days will send me to another charity from now on. I don't know if they just don't need donations anymore and they they are making their money in another way but I have spent so much time trying to make a donation after I found the trailer that I usually use at Main and 121 to be gone that I will never support them again. From incorrect website information to closed locations to going to 2 of their stores that are supposed to be accepting donations when I was there to having staff standing in the drive through telling me I can't drop off anything off for another hour and a half even though they are standing there with the doors open. I went to the one on Ohio drive in Frisco this morning and the 2 guys told me I could not take the 2 bags out of my car for them to take inside at 10:30 and that if I took them out of my car they would fine me as there are security cameras all over recording my license plate. WTF is going on? I then proceeded to the one on Midway Rd and the drop off area was all roped off with no explanation even though they were also supposed to be open. The one on Josey Lane is closed as are several others so I give up! SALVATION ARMY from now on!! read more

For the most part I have enjoyed my visits to most all Goodwill stores for the exception of this one. I found a pair of shorts on a rack in the middle of the store, that I planed on buying it had a tag on it and a hanger, I was approached by a employee whom informed me I was not allowed to buy the shorts, She did not explain and I had to ask WHY, she said because I took them off the rack???? I put the shorts back and I went to talk to the manager and she informed me (rather arrogantly) that buying the shorts from this so called rack was unfair to other shoppers. If I could rate this place 0 starts I honestly would. First off I want to address that i have been a loyal customer for years and have noticed the extreme price change and let down of the facility. All jeans are now 7 bucks & up even ones that are dingy and have holes. Are you serious? don't even get me started on the shirts oh my lord. Pretty much all of them are 5 bucks and up. I stubbled upon a an extremely used, old, faded spaghetti strap shirt that had nots on the straps to keep it together labeled for 5 dollars. Are you kidding me? I could buy a brand new one for less than that at Walmart. Outrageous. They are also doing some painting and renovation WHILE CUSTOMERS ARE IN THE STORE. It's already hard enough to breath with the mask on imagine with fog in the air from the machines they are using. Terrible. I should of taken pictures. Tie pins ,for my collection.I thought they were a little pricey,So I did not get but a few..Place was clean ,as It always is. Donators beware - I was in this Goodwill Store on Wednesday of this week for about 30 minutes. All I heard was breaking glass, crashing, etc. My first thought was someone dropped something or a kid broke something. Then I saw one of the workers with 2 of those gondola carts full of items. He was not careful AT ALL. He was pulling things out and being very rough with everything. I saw him pull some electrical cords up from the cart and heard glass breaking. Another shopper and I started watching him and he was pulling prices off the merchandise, tossing (literally) items from one cart to another. He would unwrap an item and look at it and then either toss it in the other cart or drop it (literally) back into the same cart - crash/break! It appeared that he purposely broke the glass out of a nice frame and tossed it into the other cart. It went on and on. Talk about a bull in a china shop - this was him. Maybe he was upset about something and was taking it out on the items, who knows? What I know is that if I donate something breakable, or anything for that matter, and I take my time to wrap it up and make sure its received in the same condition I donated it in the employees should take care with it. This employee was costing the store a lot of money by his actions. A lot of people that shop at Goodwill don't expect everything to be in perfect condition and will purchase an item with a chip or a crack. But this was unacceptable. I've been in this store many times while the employees are stocking and I've never witnessed this type of behavior. I'll still shop here, but my donations will be going to another location. read more
