I expected some organization for the largest store. Most clothes are tagged with the wrong sizes compared to the actual label and things are just placed everywhere and anywhere. Very disappointing for a first time visit. read more

I've been coming to this goodwill for YEARS and today will be my last time buying or donating anything to this organization. The prices have gotten beyond insane. Most things are priced closer to retail and sometimes above. WHY would I buy second hand if new is cheaper?? The pricing is predatory and the people in charge should be ashamed. The service here is absolutely terrible and policies seem to change often. I came to purchase something and only one thing, a lamp shade. I went to the counter to pay. He couldn't sell it because it didn't have a price because lamp shades are the "holy grail" of Goodwill. Lol Don't get me started and he said I could come back in 24hrs or so and it would be priced. WHY WOULD I DO THAT!!! Is it that difficult to price things, I don't care what the policy is. I stopped asking about being Tax Exempt. The policy changed so many times, they made it seem like my fault. read more

They are pricey! Some of the workers are horrible. They have no class, no customer service, and RUDE. My goodness. Why be there and treat people poorly or carry a sourpuss face, while on the floor and doing your job? Then, at the register, they have the gall to ask if you'd like to round up your amount to donate to their cause? No. Goodwill already gets FREE stuff donated and gets 100% profit. Why do they need more money? Y'all take your stuff and donate it to the senior citizens' care centers. They'd love to have "new" clothes, so to speak. Basing my review on donation center drop off customer service : Went on 9/25/21 to donate my kids clothes, while there some older big white man went off on the young women receiving donations. He was pissed bx she said they could only take 2 boxes or 2 bags at a time. I did try to defuse the situation however he was not having it lol. He told me and her fuck you yelling like a psycho . She remained calm and was super nice !! I believe her name was Sabel ? Honestly I couldn't hear her clearly bx her mask. By the time the man got in his car another helpful employee came he was an older black man also very nice ! They let me leave my donations and it was hassle free! read more

The bald male cashier, Richard, is extremely rude. I had a cart of items and had decided I wasn't going to be able to afford to buy everything but would whittle it down as things were rung up. I mentioned to him that I probably couldn't purchase everything but would keep an eye on the total as thing were rung up. He was silent and after a few seconds asked me what I was going to do with the items I didn't purchase. I was taken aback by his question. I told him well I guess I'll put them off to the side. And he goes "yeah well SOMEONE HAS TO PUT THE STUFF BACK-The lady that works nights can't leave until everything on the floor is put back." He went on to ring up what I wanted but was visibly upset that I wasn't purchasing everything. I put the cart to the side and he asked me, "you're leaving all that stuff?" I told him yes, and after I got my change thanked him for his time and wished him a good day. He didn't say a word back to me. I'm not sure if his inference was that I needed to put the items back myself, or what, but I've never been to a store where I was expected to do the job myself. I am appalled by this cashier's discourteous and insolent attitude. I don't plan on returning to this store. read more

My wife and i just had a donation to drop off, a rather large one at that . All we had to do was drive yo donation door and the workers were out there before i could fully park the car. It only took five min and we were on our way. Speedy service for sure! And there were all very polite. read more

If you have a donation to drop off, I would consider going somewhere else. The drop off points were totally confusing, and basically you will load everything yourself. Then, if you have any furniture, you will have to drive around the building to the back. Plus the fact, that the employees are very rude. One gentleman kept saying , "wow you have a lot of stuff to donate." When he saw that I was getting upset at him, he started to help me. Then, I asked some ladies next-door where to drop off the furniture,and they got an attitude. So, I left out of there, and I finally found where to take the furniture. I don't think you can do nice things for people anymore. It's sad! :( read more

I've been coming here for a while now and the one in commerce texas. As a heavy advocate for multiple forms of community service, Goodwill is a great avenue for people that care for their community. I've bought plenty of lightly used clothing, and items from this store and many others in their franchise. Prices are great for high quality items. For those interested in financial benefit, by donating there is also the option of a tax write off.... So yeah, Goodwill is awesome, donate often, help plenty, live happy.... read more

My husband and I were in the market to donate quite a bit of items. We decided upon Goodwill on I30 and Broadway in Garland. We loaded up my Durango with 5-7 comforter sets, clothes, artwork, home supplies, and pet supplies. When we arrived there; we grabbed a bin and started unloading. All of our donations didn't fit into the cart, so I went to grab another cart. I was treated rudely by a female employee stating that it's one cart per person. I explained that there are two people here and she stated, "I don't care, y'all are together." There was another couple that only had a few items in their bin and I asked if we can put the rest of our donations in their bin. The were polite and said yes. The same rude, female employee came back out, grabbed their cart and said, " I told you only one cart per person!" I don't know that I have ever been treated so poorly when trying to donate to a good cause! I will never donate to Goodwill again. They need to train their employees to be more respectful when working. read more

That's all she said No. it wasn't the No it was how she said it, mind you I haven't even reached the store just a phone call and got rudeness. Normally I'm not picky about second hand stores, but I had a terrible experience dropping off donations. The guy receiving them didn't even get up when I started coming to the door with arm loads of stuff and then came out only to tell me I couldn't just leave them there (I was getting more stuff). He yelled at me multiple times, also yelling that he couldn't take one of the items I had (which was fine, I didn't know) and told me I needed to bring the donations inside (not protocol, I called the manager, they are supposed to meet you at your car or at least half way and help you). I wasn't offered a tax reciept nor thanked and the other employee in there just watched this teenage boy yell at me. Honestly you are better off going to a goodwill in Mesquite or near Marketplace drive in Garland, these folks will not treat you well. Additionally there are homeless folks wandering around who come into the store or loiter outside frequently and that doesn't seem to happen at the other locations. I know they have a lot to deal with but donations keep them in business so they should probably be at least respectful to people who continue to help ensure they have a job. I was shook up afterward from this kid yelling at me. I felt like I was trying to talk down someone who was extremely upset for a totally ridiculous reason- doubt his job. read more

Went in there looking for gems and gems is what I found! This place was huge! So you have to be willing to look and take your time. The only downfall here is that the restrooms were not clean and no paper towels nor soap to wash your hands! Other than that great finds! Found nice whiskey glasses, also found a vintage 1997 Ralph Lauren Polo Bear. Found a nice throwback Dallas Cowboys Terrell Owens Jersey, as well as some nice T's and a flag banner! Trash store! I called before I went to drop off donations, which were light fixtures out of a million dollar home, and they said sure bring them down. Loaded up the materials, drove 15 miles to the store only to be greeted by a very rude and grumpy lady who says that they do not take light fixtures. Don't even bother with Goodwill! Called before I left to come here and they said they're open Saturday until 9pm. I drive 30 miles and sit through traffic for 2 wrecks only to be told they're closed for 3 hours!! This is by far the nicest Goodwill I've been to, and I've been to a lot of Goodwills. It's giant and every department has a wide selection of goods (only they could carry more records). On top of that, it's not old and dusty like a lot of thrift stores and they even have a bathroom. Another plus is their three large fitting rooms. read more

This is pretty much your typical Goodwill. They have a pretty decent selection of clothes-but beware not all of them are a great deal. On many things you could go to a factory to You or similar store and find something new for about the same price. If, however, you are willing to spend some time and do some digging there are bargains in these water, Cap'n. I have found some really nice clothes for the kids with tags still on for cheap. Also I have found some great books and vinyl here-but it takes some searching. The store is not a particularly clean one and they do not have any idea of what they have in inventory. We love our local Goodwill! Just like all the other ones, you've gotta dig for the gold! They have furs, and some really cute vintage looking things for ladies, and my boyfriend likes to buy his work pants here. I've found some great dvd & vhs sets for DIRT cheap. Sometime I find really great art, too. Also, some house shoes from target with tags still on & attached with their little plastic things for $1. I found some great bargains today. Three tee shirts, board shorts, 4 hats only sixteen bucks. What is not cool is me waiting in live over 10 minutes. I understand you don't come here for service. It's not Nordstrom. But it's a buzz kill to stand in line while one cashier is wrapping a bunch of cookware in newspaper. And the other cashier is moving at the speed of mud and constantly​ yawning. Went to store to shop on senior day to have a worker to walk upon me with no social distancing. I moved my cart and started walking away. I was talking to a friend on the phone and began to tell her how some people just walk up on you. Well, I didn't know that the worker was following behind me listening. She stopped me and asked if I was talking about her. I turned around and said yes. She got aggressive. I told her if you expect the customers to practice social distancing you should follow your same rule. She got so upset about that she told the guy at the register to not wait on me. They told me to leave my cart with my items and they would put everything back. Before I left the store I told her not saleing to me doesn't may her look big, if you have lines on the floor and signs telling the customers to be 6 ft apart, you should practice it yourself. Would you believe she was a supervisor. No customer service skills whatsoever. I don't believe this was her one and only incident. If Clara is On duty....watch out! If I could I would rate my visit today 0 stars. I went in there and while I was shopping, two extremely rude employees were talking smack about about the customers and me. I had to say something, it was super disrespectful listening to them while I am trying to enjoy my shopping time. One employee even called me a "maggot face!" lol I told her I felt sorry for her that she had to work here and was unhappy. I spoke to the manager, and I hope one gets fired at least.
