update: she is so dishonest!! i tried to contact her to retrieve my things, but she blocked me the second i left a review so i didn't hear back about going that evening. She just replied to the review i picked them up. I couldn't reach her to get my items bc she blocked me, then she complained i hadn't come. i had stopped by the shop during business hours and as usual she was closed. I had to do a new project request through yelp to finally reach her. She then told me not to come by her shop or she would ask me to leave. But she had my garments. I had arranged labels for flat rate boxes so that she could go to the post office, grab standard boxes, pack there, and make a single trip, but she refused to go. she was rude to the person making arrangements as well. items retrieved, but fabric pieces missing. poor, poor character. read more

Do not go to her. I reached out July 2nd about getting small sleeves added to my wedding dress. When we spoke on the phone she said it would take two weeks. I let her know I needed it mid August and that I would bring it in right away. She said that was plenty of time and no rush. I told her that I am an anxious bride and would feel better having it done sooner than later. I ended up bringing it in two days later. At which point I said again I would need it mid August. And reminded her that I am anxious about this. I waiting a month before reaching out. Aug 5th I asked for an update. She said she hadn't started but would be soon and would update me asap. I then reached out Aug 17th. She did not respond. I tried calling and texting. And my fiancé called to. No answer. Today my fiancé called and she said she hasn't started. I get married in two weeks! When I called her she tried to tell me that she told me she wasn't starting it until the 20th. I literally have the text message telling her from the beginning that I needed it mid August. I had my mother pick it up. Now it's two weeks from the wedding and I don't have enough time to have someone else do it. I'm devastated. She's the worst. Definitely chaos in a person. A year late to post, but Kimberly did an AMAZING job on my dress. There was a lot that needed to be done for my dress that I had ordered online. From shortening my straps, getting rid of extra fabric, from hemming my dress that had horsehair at the bottom, too putting in a bustle for my dress with a clear button to match my clear buttons on my dress, she was amazing. She was so kind to be willing to do the work and then once we got there and realized that the dress was damaged stepped right up and was ready willing and capable of fixing it so the dress was perfect. The worst experience a bride could have experienced!! KIMBERLY is beyond nasty and aggressive. Completed turned on is the day of pickup. Ready to attack and fight once she's confronted about upsell. Condescending attitude! How dare you!! Lack of communication. On top of that she didn't even take the measurements to the wedding dress and then openly admit I had to go back in and let more out yes clearly because you did not take measurements and you want to call yourself a suitable seamstress??? Since Kimberly did such an excellent job altering a skirt I brought in to her I of course immediately thought of her when I had some new wardrobe alterations in mind. I bought a couple of super cute peasant blouses but unfortunately the sleeves were too short for me. I brought them in to Kimberly and asked her what could be done. Like the pro that she is she said right away that she could definitely extend the sleeves and use material as similar as possible to the rest of the blouses. She measured my forearm and she set about the task. I didn't rush her as I knew it would take time for her to find the right material and integrate it as seamlessly as possible to the rest of the blouse. When the blouses were ready I went to her shop and was very pleasantly surprised with the results. The additions looked like a natural part of the blouse design and the cuffs came down to my wrists as I wanted. So pretty! I can't wait to wear them in public and show off Kimberly's handiwork. I am definitely now a loyal customer of Kimberly's. Besides being an ace seamstress she is so nice! It's a pleasure doing business with her and I wish her continued success with her business. It doesn't get any better than Kimberly. I came to her with a nearly impossible request involving a pair of trendy flared denim that were too short in length with a really difficult hemline. Kimberly was up for the challenge and assured me we could make it work. Over the course of several weeks, Kim worked diligently to perfect the jeans to my liking. I put this poor woman through 3 or 4 iterations of adjustments and she never batted an eye or charged me extra. She was beyond patient and truly SO FREAKING NICE despite spending literally hours on these jeans to get them exactly the way I wanted them. Oh, but it doesn't stop there. 3 days before Christmas I texted her in a panic - the skirt I was planning on wearing for the holiday was too big and I needed it take in! To my shock, she immediately offered to meet me in her studio ON CHRISTMAS EVE to fix the skirt for me. Talk about going above and beyond. I have taken several items here for service. Does great work but lacks consistency and communication on when items will be done and what is agreed to when you drop off items. Both times I was told a date for completion and that date changed and the last time, extra material from a Burberry Jacket was not saved and supposedly thrown away even after we discussed that I wanted the material saved. I bought my wedding dress 3 months postpartum. It was tight to say the least, but in my delulu state of mind, I thought for sure by the time of the wedding I would lose a little more weight and then the dress would look perfect. Well, I was wrong. Two weeks before the wedding I tried on my dress and not only was it still tight, but it wouldn't zip. Needless to say, I panicked and thought there was no way anyone would be able to get my dress altered to fit me before the wedding. Thats when I stumbled upon the seamstress and let me tell you she is a MAGICIAN. She took my dress, made it look beautiful on me, and was so reasonably priced. She was also great at communicating throughout the whole process, and that brought me so much peace of mind. I called Kimberly, the owner, and she told me to come on in and that she could complete that alteration before the wedding in two weeks. When I arrived with my daughter and another wedding dress to alter, Kimberly welcomed us and still said that both dresses would be ready before the wedding in two week. My daughter's dress needed much more altering than mine but she still was confident in saying she could get both completed. I was impressed and she made me feel confident that she could do the job in a timely and highly skilled manner. I felt that the price for the alterations were fair.
