ECHO is a great organization. ECHO accepts clothing, shoes, linens, electronics, computers, small…read morehousehold appliances, non-perishable food and school supplies year-round. The volunteers are very dedicated and helpful in accepting the donations and distributing them to those in need here in the community. The group is respectful towards those they serve, even referring to them as customers - allowing those in need the dignity they deserve. Donating items is quick, easy and efficient. The volunteers are kind and full of good cheer. ECHO will also advertise the specific items on their billboard so you can see what items are most in need. ECHO can't accept everything but they can recommend other organizations that accept furniture, perishable food or other items for donations. You can feel good that your donated items will go to those who can truly use them.

There are plenty of items to look through (old and new) to bring character into the home or space that you intend to work on. Lots of peace of mind to bring things that you can no longer use making this a great rotating operation. The proceeds and donated items go towards building homes for low income individuals/ families that can receive a mortgage based on income. At least that was what it was when it first started. (I had the opportunity to volunteer on a renovation of a home as a youth and found it a rewarding experience to meet the homeless family that would be moving into the finished structure.) Only thing I will say is they need a check out line sign that says "line starts here" because it's confusing if you have one side with people and the other side with another line. Some people I've seen wait in the very middle where you'd think it would start and then people end up cutting in line and no one ever says anything. That's the only thing I will say should happen...a "line starts here" sign in the middle. That way everyone gets in line and knows exactly where to go. Overall store and staff are excellent. Give a 4 out of 5 star rating only because of the line issue at checkout. Without that I would give it a 5 out of 5.
