I have been donating and buying from this location since it opened its doors for business and have furnished a couple of places here at the beach and love my finds. Sometimes there is too much to buy, and then sometimes there isn't enough-haha - but I never go out of there empty carted. There is a huge variety of goodies and one can spend pretty much the whole day shopping in this store, which, I have done that- and closed the doors with them. :-), only to rush back the next day, because they had to close or because I knew it would be gone before I returned. The people that work there are terrific and I have never met with anyone rude nor unwilling to help, so, guess what folks, it's my favor-rite place to shop. The overall organization of Palmetto Goodwill is terrible for thrifting! They pull ALL items of value and send them to the GW Boutique in Pawleys Island to sell at an inflated price. The drive for me to the boutique is not worth it...much too expensive! Also, this process leaves mostly junk in all of their other locations. Not much fun thrifting at these stores because there aren't any really good finds. read more

Basically, we're just leaving a ditto to our last review. This year we again stopped by, and purchased a couple of used plastic balcony/beach chairs; for friends to use on the beach, when they visited us at our resort. (It's much easier than carrying extra chairs down here on a 12+ hr journey; and cheap enough to leave them with other guests, when we depart for home.) read more

While I didn't find much I was able to pick up two things for very cheap and am very tickled about my finds. Most of the stuff here struck me as being junk but there were some genuinely intriguing finds. One thing I did love about this particular location was how spacious it was. And it hands down is one of the best organized Goodwills I've been in. I see a lot of bad reviews regarding service and while there was a long line it was fairly busy. We were very disappointed today when we donated three operational ceiling fans and several other items to Goodwill. We chose Goodwill Industries over several other organizations because we felt someone would own a good ceiling fan (or three) and their purchase would benefit someone in the community. We cleaned the fans and they looked almost like new. When we were dropping them off at Goodwill, we carefully unloaded them and were carrying the first fan inside. The Goodwill employee took it from us and literally threw it in a collection bin. I was astounded at the callousness and disregard for the item. The lady dropping off items behind me exclaimed "You're going to break it!" The Goodwill employee replied "That happens a lot". He then proceeded to throw the other two fans in the bin. Did I mention each fan had glass lights on them? If you care the slightest bit about the item you are donating benefiting someone, please take it somewhere else. I certainly will never grace this store again. read more

Why do I bother packing when I know full well that I do it completely wrong every time? Fortunately there's Goodwill to bail me out without dropping a C-note on a shirt. This particular location is definitely woman-centric in that --guys options are limited, selections revolve around four of the same color combos set upon two racks in the far rear corner inside-- tan, off tan, grey and off grey. Not one to complain, much, my ample needs were met with service and selection. Then I spotted the book selection which was bursting at the bookends, but alas I reeled my desires in enough to pay and go, narrowly averting certain expenditures. read more

BAD cash out experience. Waiting and waiting. A new register opens up but the cashier doesn't address me, the next person in line. Those of us waiting in line don't even know if she's going to open up or just getting something. She lets another employee who was folding her purchases on the counter at that register tell me " come here, I'm an employee and I go after". Very harshly. Very rudely. Like I should have known she was an employee just folding her stuff, and that register was opening up. The cashier never said next, hello, or thank you. I walked out with other customers who had been waiting and waiting too. They said wow how rude they were! And your dressing room doors are filthy. read more

Great little Thrift Store. Went there while visiting North Myrtle Beach this past week. Large selection of clothing. Also found a few good pieces of vintage furniture. Staff was very helpful . . . especially April, who helped me find the furniture items, and Kyle, who helped me load everything. Will definitely be back next time I visit. read more

Worst goodwill I have ever been in. Went to buy some dishes and the store manager saw them and said I couldn't have them for the price that they were on the shelf for and then tried to up charge me on the dishes. They had no price tag and were on the shelf for dishes for .99 cent. He went to on to try and say I pulled the sticker off and moved them there. Review the damn store footage they were there when my kids and I got them. Stated the customer isn't right and began to try and belittle me. Needless to say I let him know my feelings right then. His name is Stewart and is the worst employee I have ever dealt with. I called the main headquarters and made a complaint as well. This goodwill is trying to up sale there items. Ripoff read more

Shopping for a few things to add to my wardrobe. Stoped in a found Worthington brand, Ana brand and plenty of colors and styles. Clean large store, plenty of dressing room and all clothes 3.95. I will stop again. read more
