Ahh! I went here one day and took a whole 2 hours to go back again! This place was great! I found curtains for my house for a whopping 12 bucks!! (for both panels) And books, games, the whole shebang! Yeah, I agree with Jessica on wanting to save this little secret of mine.. but man oh man! Worst Goodwill I have ever been too. I shop for mens dress shirts and almost exclusively buy from Goodwill. This one was terrible.

I stopped in here yesterday (I seem to be doing a LOT of thrift store shopping lately) and was about to leave emptyhanded. Everything in the store just seemed...icky. There was also a creepy Lil Wayne lookalike who wasn't hiding the fact that he was following me with his eyes for several minutes from behind a shelf. Then, he started to follow me to the housewares section. As I was heading to the door to walk out or complain about this man, I saw a giant painting on display. It was hand painted and wasn't framed. I stood there for a minute or so deciding whether or not to grab it and check out or to just leave given the creeper. I finally decided that once I left, I'd probably regret not having bought the painting. On my way to the cashier, I saw a candle holder with its orginal price tag from a retail store. I just "had to have" it. Then, on my way to the front, I passed bedding and saw a down comforter like the ones I'd been eyeing in Ross, but couldn't bring myself to pay even 50 dollars for. I saw the $12.99 price tag, decided I'd just wash it when I got home, and finally deicided to leave. But then, I was waiting in line and found myself next to a really pretty vase. I think you know I wound up buying this too. In total, I spent just a little over $30. I saw the strange man starting to head toward the registers and I went to my car and drove away. I've decided not to come back here for awhile, but at least I found some cool stuff while I was there (the woman ahead of me said she too was thinking about buying the painting and on the way to my car, two girls gasped when they saw it and asked if I'd gotten it from inside the Goodwill). I scheduled a home pickup a week prior to pick up. I called the Friday before to confirm and was told I was scheduled. I made sure everything was curbside by 7 am. I received a phone call later in the morning stating they were not able to gain access through the gate. There is no gate. I called them at the number that had left a message and was transferred. Had to leave a voice-mail and never received a call back. I will contact another agency to donate to. read more

Oh how I love this store. Maybe a tad too much. Im a sucker for a steal, and this is the place to go! Its a tad dirty, but come on now people we arnt shopping at Niemen Marcus for cryin out loud. The staff are friendly, its nicely organized (unless your shopping on half off day which might as well be black Friday!!). Where else can you get name brand stuff for basically the tax? Not many other places, unless its another goodwill location. This one is our favorite location by far. read more

Had I made this review a couple years ago I would have given it another star, but lately the prices at this location have shot up, not good news. It appears that goodwill does not understand what a thrift store is. It's a place where people with low income can buy things at low prices. Now more and more of these stores are getting greedy or are getting their prices from ebay. The problem is that many of the things they over price are either junk or in many cases broken. A bose wave radio that does not work for $30, rip off! old console organs $150 to $300, are you insane? The reason people get rid of them are that they often do not work and they take up a huge amount of space. A player piano? they wanted $1500 for it, it did not sell till the price went to about $250. LCD TV's for almost new prices? surround sound systems and BPC stereo equipment are always over priced. I have gotten some smokin' deals here, but those were few and far between. Seriously stuff can sit on the shelves for weeks and months. Price to sell and you will be rolling in dough! read more

Every other Saturday is 50% off everything (except food and seasonal items) at Goodwill retail stores all around Phoenix. Prices at this Goodwill run a little high on regular days, but on half-off days, the prices are very good. Women's shoes were around $5 to $6 a pair (so $2.50 to $3 at half off), softback books $2 ($1), hardbacks $4, belts $3, blouses $5 to $6, and dresses $7 to $12. Everything was set up in easy-to-locate sections and the staff was friendly and helpful at the counter and in the furniture area. read more

You know, for a goodwill this one really isn't bad! They have a ton of clothes that are actually displayed to make them look orderly and clean instead of the usual crammed heaps and stacks you see. I love the books - a great selection of books you have always meant to read (and I don't mean the old classics, though they have those too) like James Patterson, Anne Rice, and all those gooey Twilight books. Looks like they moved out most of the furniture recently, but perhaps they will be getting a new shipment soon. Lots of knick-knacks and vases, and about 25 printers to choose from! Check here first if you are looking for one of the above stated items - they is a good chance you will find it! read more

Update: This store now tags their clothing differently. Instead of a colored tag indicating when it came in, they now affix price tags indicating whether it's men's women's or children's. No longer do you need to worry about being charged more for a t-shirt from the men's rack because you happen to be female. Also, I found 5 cute women's Threadless tees on the Children's rack the other day, only $1.99 each, cha-ching! read more

Goodwill is one of those places where you have to know what you're looking for and what you want and have time to look for those items in order should be satisfied. I was looking for jewelry specifically and I found many many pieces and the total came to about $9. I could find the same items of jewelry at retail stores for a much higher price but I prefer the thrifting price and experience. Also they don't need your money to the Goodwill career center which helps homeless people get jobs. However I did pick your ring that they were putting in the pot but forgot to ring up for me and I was upset because that was specifically what I came to get it was a ring although I did get other jewelry. So I would say they were going to say she is great with the staff could use Improvement. read more

Love the stuff here. Always find brand name kids clothes and jeans for myself for under 5-6 bucks. Great selection. And it's a really neat store :) The only complaint I have is one of the male managers is kind of mean. This good will is right down the street from me so I come here A LOT and have spent a crapload of money here, well a few weeks ago I came in with my 3 kiddos and my 2 yr old was crying pretty loud. He was upset at something and I was actively working on calming him down. The manager came over and put his hands on his hips and goes "What is going on here!?" (Obviously a crying baby) Before I could answer, he looked at my 4 yr old daughter and said "You need to go put that back!" She had some ride on toy in her hands. Boy he was rude and it was upsetting! I had just bought a $60 dresser from there that day too and was just browsing. The other staff is super nice but that manager couldn't stand my crying baby! I always make sure my kids clean up if hey look at a you and my kids weren't doing anything wrong yet I was treated like they were. Rude! read more

About eight months ago, I visited the Goodwill Store on 83rd Avenue and Beardsley Road in Peoria, AZ. Ordinarily, I look for upscale name brand dresses to sell on Ebay. I buy on 50% off Saturdays. I saw two brown maple end tables. No scratches, stains, dents or odors. They were priced at $11 after the discount. Imagine my surprise when I pulled out the drawer and saw Ethan Allen stamped on the side. Went home and looked them up on Ebay. They were early 1940's tables worth about $250 each. It took me seven months to sell them locally. Patience is key. Limit your time in the store to forty minutes, avoid eye contact with people who want to know why/what you're buying and laugh all the way to the bank. read more

I'm sorry to give such a low rating to a store with a great concept, but everytime I am in this store it is way too crowded, way too messy, the employees are hard to find, and the selection isn't that good. Once in a while I find something great for the price but most of the time I feel like I just wasted a lot of time finding things I wanted in wrong sizes and leaving with nothing. Also, the prices are good when you shop on sale days but sometimes I think the prices are too high for how damaged or dated some things are. It really just depends on your preferences and the day you go I guess. read more

My mom went here to enroll in their computer classes and career assistance after losing her job. She wanted to learn Microsoft Office to help her with positions that require you to have skills in these programs. Goodwill requires that you take tests prior to meeting with someone for an interview. She didn't do very well. That's why she wanted to take the classes. Goodwill rejected her because her scores were too low. So now my mom is left with nowhere to turn to for training and computer classes and she's really struggling, all because this "charity" only accepts certain people to keep their 'success rate' high. read more
