Another Goodwill in Roseville. The economy must still really suck despite all the rebounding news reports, they seem to be opening more and more locations. Or, Target just needs another place to unload all its rejects and overstocks. Goodwill brand doesn't even feel like going to a thrift store anymore. Whatever the reason may be, this one is brand spankin new. Big, clean lots and lots of inventory. A lot of Target rejects, clearanced items etc. One thing I do have an issue with is the Goodwill is pricing their stuff for about a dollar cheaper than what Target was charging. Some of the "thrifty" pricing is a tad questionable on certaing things. Found a few books and sifted through the sea of old VHS movies they had. They had a ton of sun screen, cotton balls. I almost forgot I wasn't at Target. Check out gal was nice. read more

How can you not love the deals at Goodwill, everything from sporting goods and casual dress clothes , to golf clubs and frying pans!

Prices at all Goodwills have gotten way out of hand and then they took away the fitting rooms, which wouldn't be half so bad if they had a fair return policy but they don't. This means that you have to hope clothes will work and when they don't you're stuck with them. Boo to you Goodwill. read more

For whatever reason, I just have never vibed with this Goodwill location. I walk out of here with nothing more than I do with anything, and I can't remember the last thing I bought here that was a great find. It's normally very busy and messy, seems cramped compared to others. A month ago I couldn't believe my luck in finding a PS4 controller (unwrapped) in the glass case for $30. I bought it to try it and made sure to ask about their return policy. The employee couldn't really give me a straight answer, but it sounded like I'd get store credit if returned In the end, it was too good to be true and the controller didn't function properly. I brought it in to return and the same employee told me, before I even got to the counter, "Nope, you've gotta go find something to exchange that with" So she clearly remembered selling me the controller. How in the world was I going to find $30 worth of Goodwill items in one go?! I tried my hardest and found $10 worth of stuff. I returned to the counter to check out with a different employee who took quite a while to figure out how to exchange and how to get money back, not store credit. In the end, two managers got involved and seemed to almost accuse me that I didn't buy the controller there. I still had the sale tag and receipt, neither barely looked at me but stood there and bickered for a while about exchanging it and who would tag an item that way? Oh and, did that employee remember selling this to me, as if I would try to sell them back a broken controller...? In the end they miraculously figured out how to put my money back on my card and I will never return here again read more

Today (7/20/2022), I visited the Roseville, MN Goodwill located at 1627 County B Rd W at 1:15pm. I was stopped and accused by two of the working older Caucasian women. They accused me of stealing merchandise and bringing them along with me into the bathroom, but that was not the case. If you check the cameras, I clearly left my items on the shelf by the bathroom. I've never felt so discriminated and embarrassed in my life! When the ladies saw my merchandise on the shelf, they proceeded with an apology. All is forgiven with the workers but my issue here is the discrimination. What can we do to prevent this from happening? We cannot judge every minority who walk in! Please help, I would definitely appreciate a response. I would like to know your policy and procedure of how you handle your employees when situations like these arise. I would like you all to train your employees on how to HANDLE these situations when they do arise. I want you all to NOT ASSUME and discriminate just because your customers are minorities. This is not appropriate for anyone who is minding their business while shopping at a thrift store that is already at a discounted price. read more

I tried to donate items to this location today and before I even pulled a bag out of my car, the employee standing there asked if I had a pet at home. I said I did and he said they can't take anything from me then because he and other employees are severely allergic to animals. I had never heard of this and was unsure how they got donations then. Do not recommend this goodwill. read more

I want to say shame on the employees of the Roseville, MN Goodwill. A lady in her 70's purchased 2 shopping carts full of clothes and books. I saw her as I was leaving struggling to push one cart and pull the other without things falling out. Two employees watching her leave the store. I couldn't believe it! I went over to the lady and helped her push the carts to her car. Maybe Goodwill needs to teach some manners and customer service to their employees. read more

I used to love Goodwill. This is one I stop at. It's out of my county but not too bad to get too, right off the freeway on Cleveland Ave. I hadn't been since pandemic, went here on a Saturday. It was awful! So messy and disorganized! I mean... I don't expect GREAT organization in a thrift store, but this was SO disheveled, it hurt my eyes to look. I felt like I was in a bad "Find Waldo" scene! Clothes were a little better, but LOTS of clothes that should have just been thrown away stained and torn and so worn that I wouldn't have even used them for tags! I did find 2 brand new swimsuits I liked, but being new, they were $20 each. It was worth it to me for new swimsuits but I would have had to try them on and they took OUT the dressing room! Yep no more dressing rooms folks, NOT just closed for COVID, gone! That was $40 that stayed on their racks, not gonna spend $20 each on 2 suits if I can't even try something on. In fact I'm not buying ANYTHING I can't try on. The prices are ridiculous on used clothes too! I mean $6.99 for a stained and pilled Merona top? SMDH! Yeah, raise the prices and remove the fitting rooms, who's GENIUS idea is that? They have out-priced the thrifty shoppers and a LOT of this will go unsold and end up in a landfill. Wouldn't making $3 on something be better than making nothing and throwing it away? When they supposedly help keep the environment cleaner! But by overpricing, more stuff just ends up in landfills anyway. Most people donate to try to help, Ive seen stuff priced HIGHER than the retail tag on the item!!Why not clear out MORE with low prices and in return take in more money! I am NOT going back OR donating to them anymore unless they change their greedy attitude. Especially now the fitting rooms gone??? I know they have a return policy but it's for ONLY store credit and this one is 20 miles from home. I go thrift shopping maybe once every 3 months and when I thrift shop, I'll go to 3 or 4 in a day. I used to find a lot of clothes that I liked, tried on and purchased. Done deal! I'm hard to fit and I am not gonna waste my time to have to return something for store credit only to buy something else that may not fit. Until they get their act together, I'm not going to be a customer or contribute donations! Shame on you Goodwill! read more

I'm trying not to over react... I wanted to try out a specific size of curling iron so I went to Goodwill Roseville #2. They had the size I wanted. When I went to check out, however, the cashier took the curling iron and went over to the manager (I think she was the manager). They had a little huddle while someone else whisked the curling iron away. The two of them stood with their backs to me for several moments. The silence was deafening because I was not told why. Of course, I asked, thinking there was something wrong with it. "We're checking on the REAL price," they told me. "Someone must have switched the tags. We usually don't sell curling irons for that price." The implication was that I had switched the tags which I had not. I, of course, was embarrassed. They had put me in a no-win situation. I looked guilty in any case. The REAL price was $3.00 more which was still extremely inexpensive. "Do you still want it?" the cashier asked in a tone that felt to me as if I'd been caught at some heinous act. I held onto my dignity but I doubt I will ever shop at Goodwill again. PEople should NOT switch tags. That's wrong. But Goodwill should also not treat their customers as if they're suspects. I think the law reads "innocent until proven guilty" and not the other way around. A little soul searching on the "goodwill" part of the Goodwill Roseville part of the brand might be a useful exercise for the whole staff. read more

Very frustrating. I used to come to this store for their great used books and DVD selections. Now, the last time I was there, the clerks told me they are scanning all of their books and taking the anything that has value and selling it on the internet, most likely Amazon or eBay. There is nothing of quality on their book shelves anymore. I have heard this is happening throughout the Twin Cities at all Goodwill stores. I will have to find out to see if that is true but I fear it is. I guess I will be doing my thrift store shopping at Unique and Saver's instead. read more

I drive way out of my way to support this store as they promote alternative energy with access to EV charging. I mentioned to the manager that a vehicle not utilizing the charger was parked in a spot and without concern she readily dismissed my complaint. I was making a donation at this time & the women at the desk, literally, tossed a receipt at me. I found staff to be rude & unbecoming. I will find another place to donate my items in the future! read more

I've visited this Goodwill more than five times, and I've left empty-handed every time. The prices are just ridiculous. Worse than other nearby Goodwill stores. The employees are very nice, but on more than one occasion I saw managers yelling at inexperienced employees and embarrassing them for no good reason. That really gave me bad vibes and made me not want to go back. read more

Love this Goodwill! Clean. Lots of great inventory, and the customer service is above and beyond. Feels like the prices are more than fair and lots of variety. Shop here often and find something new and unusual. Also- great selection of books and lots of sales on different days. Always check out every Tuesday where they have $1.49 tag sales on a certain color tag every week. Awesome! read more

I go here with absolutely no expectations and am usually pleased with what I find. I go for the kids clothes and appreciate the 50% off kids clothes on Thursdays. They even take back stuff but you need to exchange it for something else at that time (within 7 days). This allows me to buy jeans for my boys, keep what works, and return the rest. I donate here regularly too and appreciate the drive through and the speedy drop off service. I've never had any issues which this store and in fact have had really positive interactions with the staff. Sometimes the checkout lines are a bit long, but other than that, I shop with an open mind and no agenda. read more

I went to this Goodwill today and left pretty depressed. Its has now happened twice in this Goodwill with the same cashier. I go up to buy an item and it gets repriced as I am about to pay. "This is too good of a deal". Implying they made a mistake and it should have been priced higher. That would maybe make sense if they were a regular store but Goodwill resells goods that they receive for free! That attitude seems more corporate than charity and not in "goodwill". There is no need for that harassment and attack on customers. I like Goodwill. Enjoy going to them regularly, but I may be going to a different Goodwill from now on. I don't know if its my appearance, race, personality but it felt like a personal attack, and awful. I don't mind not getting the sale, but I rather not feel harassed as well. I usually round up when I buy in Goodwill out of goodwill, but personally, I'll be donating to a different Goodwill. I also will be going back later today to talk to the manager. read more

I have been going to Goodwill's my whole life. I'm 41 years old and it's my favorite store of all time and I've never had a bad experience, not once until I went here. Not one bad experience at this store (that I can forgive), but SEVERAL, thats a trend and I need to speak out. Horribly rude, unhelpful staff, way over priced on everything, and a mind-bogginly still employed worst manager ive ever talked with and was that way all three times I spoke with her about several issues. I hate to be negative, hopefully my next review will be more sunny, but I'll always be genuine. read more
