By the time I left, about 1 hr later, that parking lot was full. The amount and piles of clothing are insane, but as someone mentioned in the comments, you really have to be persistent and dig to get quality clothing, which, spoiler alert, I didn't! There were so many people, it was impossible to move around with ease, and I didn't have the patience to sort through all that mess for the perfect clothing item. Plus, the noise and assortment of running, crying and yelling children was not fun. After an hour, I could take no more, and speed walked out of there. I will say the value was amazing, though. On Tuesdays, they sell the clothing for .50! That's right, each piece less than a dollar, which explains the crowds and overflowing carts throughout the place. So the value is there, I just needed the endurance, know-how and focus, to find a great piece. Honestly, I don't know if I'll return. I may need more training on the Art of thrift. I was not impressed by the lack of higher end brands, so I'll continue shopping at my known spots. At the very least, because there's less of a commotion, and the thus an enjoyable shopping experience. Sorry! No pictures. I was too overwhelmed to take any. ‍

Before you go, this store isn't like other thrift stores, things aren't often as pristine (I was looking for stained clothes so this wasn't an issue), and the racks aren't really sorted. There's normally a giant pile of clothes to right of the entrance you'll see people rifling through. I thoroughly enjoy this store, but you need to have a good feel to find quality clothes. Tonight I scored J. Crew pink pants with no flaws. It's in there, just hard to find. That being said even not-so-great clothes are easy accept when the prices are so cheap. This is consistently the cheapest thrift store I've been to and I really appreciate that fact. They price to sell.

Ever since COVID, it seems like it has tried to become a Texas thrift trying to promote clothes, but did not do it successfully. Their prices and value are also not quite up to par. Compared to similar thrift stores in the area. My biggest issue today? Customer service was absolutely unacceptable. I feel like they were uncomfortable because of all the pictures I was taking? The two ladies in front kept staring and whispering to each other and looking back at me. I decided to give them the benefits of the doubt- they must have better things to talk about? I had nothing with me but my mobile, so why were they following me around? I looked through the clothes for about twenty minutes, then went over to the shoes, then back to the clothes. Then I went over to request getting into the fitting rooms, which were locked. One lady from the front came over as I stood there. "Something wrong?" Was the first thing she said to me. Taken aback, I replied, no, I was trying to get into a fitting room, please? I showed her my three garments. "Were you putting clothes back?" "What?" "My associates said you were putting clothes back." I looked at her blankly. "They said you took some and were putting them back in the shoes section." "I apologize, ma'am, I do not know what you are talking about," I answered in the most polite voice, even though I was getting increasingly frustrated. "They saw you. Take clothes and put them by the shoes." At this point, I was ready to leave. If this was how they were treating customers, I was not about to beg to be let into the fitting room, let alone give them my business. "I do not know what you are talking about, How about we go to the shoes and you can show me? I did not put anything there, only the clothes I have in my hands." "No. They took them away", she replies. Silence. "I am going to have you ask you to leave," she says. I don't even care anymore. Frankly, I am not sure whether I am more puzzled by how this confusion has taken place or more shocked that they have the audacity to treat a customer like this with no grounds. She did not even try to communicate with me with kindness. She was accusatory, told me to leave, and that was that. I left. Never plan to return. Good riddance. Highly not recommended. Zero stars!

I am really saddened by what I am seeing in Goodwill. There was a time when you could get some…read moreserious bargains, and nice items for very low, affordable prices. You still can, but more and more of their items are very highly priced. I came in looking for some art, plus other items. Prices for some of the bigger art, were in the $39.99 to $49.00 range! I wish this was an exaggeration. Handbags were the same. Most of them were $10 and over, with many of them priced upward of $15.99. Needless to say, I did not purchase anything during this trip. This is a thrift store. They get their inventory for free from donations. And although, their purpose is to provide job training and employment based opportunities, they are still a thrift store, known for being inexpensive and selling used donated goods. I will say the only thing that stood out for me in the store during my stop, was the service. The store staff worked hard, were courteous, and extremely patient given the amount of shoppers in the store.

Boysville Auxiliary Thrift is a spot that I frequent a lot. I would say I come to this spot maybe…read morethree or four times a month. It is big and they have a variety of goods to sell. My favorite thrift in the spot is the books. They are very reasonably priced and you can get quite a few or under a dollar, which is pretty impossible in a lot of other thrift stores. The staff here is friendly and helpful. They have a little boutique section in the front where they keep the newer clothing with tags, and more designer wise items. I do think some of their prices are on the higher end, which is disappointing when you're trying to get some affordable items. Clothing, however, it's usually reduced, so along with the books a good purchase. Not so much their purses, and some of their other accessories. It's worth a visit to search through their treasures and find some good thrifts. This is not my favorite thrift store, but it will be some of the goodwill prices in a pinch.

Overall the store is fairly well organized, but when I went today, it was a little messy. They do have a rather large selection of clothes that are mostly organized by size. They did have some brand new items you could buy (camping stuff, portable heaters) but they all seemed to be priced too high. I found some cool finds-a really great 3 piece older luggage set that was in great shape and a large set of new stamps (even though I didn't end up buying them). I can usually find a couple pieces of clothing that make it home with me each time I go, and I typically can find things that stil have a store tag on them! This Goodwill does stay pretty busy and you can expect a wait when you check-out. The dressing rooms and bathrooms are in good shape/clean, so that's a plus!

They have shorter hours than your usual thrift stores, so make sure to check those before you go! When I went, they had a great selection of antique glasses, dishware, clothes, Halloween/Christmas decor, home linens, shoes, ballgown dresses, and bags. The store is relatively small, but they pack so much stuff in it! I ended up spending nearly 1.5 hours here. The prices are reasonable. They are slightly more than some goodwills. The price ticket will show you the future price discount and the dates that those prices will be applied.

I realize thrift stores rely on donations, but several items we picked up were marked boutique but appeared more than lightly worn. Many of the clothing items were heavily worn and not in good repair. A necklace behind the counter was missing more than a few gems. The store is organized by categories but the lighting is awful, and makes it seem dirty even if it isn't, and there are dead ends/blocked aisles that require you to turn around and go the other way. Staff seemed friendly enough. I interacted 3 times with a young male teen and he seemed pretty low key minimal interaction but by the 3rd chat we hit it off to to speak. He's probably just slow to warm up. I did try on a few clothing items that I purchased. My friend also found something. But I don't think we will add this to our list of shops to frequent.

The last time I was here (in June) the store was hot. The a/c was on but just for the back half of the store. I saw employees fanning theirselves down as they checked out the customers at the registers. Like any other thrift store it is hit or miss here for finding items. I recently found some vintage floral gallery art pieces from the 1990's for about $4 each. Dish ware, glassware, and items that may have a pair will be priced per each item so keep that in mind. I didn't see many sets sold together. There is so much clothing here and you will need to browse through all of it to find something great. I will say there are a lot of plus sizes or 2x and up sizing for women here. Not many thrift stores just north of here have plus sizes. The expensive items can be found in the front right before the registers. I saw some vinyl records behind the counter and saw a couple of worth-a-look titles to check out. I was disappointed in finding a Zappa vinyl LP that was in rough condition and priced at $50. In my humble opinion they might not know what they got for records and are pricing based off of title alone so be sure to check your record before making a decision to buy. Parking isn't a thing here as there is a large lot. There is even a spacious drop off donation spot here too that would be easy for someone to drop off items in bulk without any issue.
