Boots with security daggers

Tried on a pair of snowboard ( $29 ) boots there today. The security tag was negligibly half put on the the item, and as I tried them on....Nobody cared.

This Goodwill was pretty impressive with its inventory and organization, and the prices were reasonable too! On my visit, there were a lot of cute clothes, snowboards, furniture, and beautiful dining pieces. I picked up a couple tea cups and matching saucers for less than $4 for the pair...of course I had to hunt for the matching saucer down another aisle, but that's part of the fun of thrifting! I think this Goodwill gets a lot of stuff because they're really the only gig in town, minus the two local thrift stores down the street that never seen to be open.

Came by on an end-of-summer weekend and was truly amazed! Parking is ample and there were a lot of donation deliveries outside. The inside is the most organized Goodwill Ive ever been to. Came searching for gold clubs and they had a good amount of choices. Some of their prices were a bit too high, but overall, a great place to thrift!

Pretty well organized and clean for a GOODWILL. The prices were a little high but it is Tahoe. The line at the cashier was so slow and it is just frustrating when you see other employees just standing around talking when they could open another register. Parking lot is pretty big but it was packed when we went. We didn't end up going home with anything, but it was good to see a big thrift store up in Tahoe.

When you spend the day with Debbie P it will involve wine and junking. On our recent trip to some California wineries, we came home through South Lake. Driving through town I hear- "oh a Goodwill store." Missing the entrance, I made an immediate right at the CVS next door. Goodwill has a nice large lot out front. Inside, this store is incredibly clean and well organized. I just can't believe the great layout. Signage marks every department. Here you can find clothing for everyone in the family, furniture, home goods, records, and books. Oddly I found several items that were brand new. Looks like overstock items from Walmart land here. Debbie, when can we go junking again !!!

Second time here at this location. I was here last year while visiting Lake Tahoe and I was amazed at how organized and put together this Goodwill was. They had a ton of snow gear, unfortunatly, not what I was looking for. Needed a sled or toboggan for some snow fun at the snow park but didnt find any. I new my chances were slim considering it was a peak time during the season for snow activities. The employees here are very welcoming and friendly. We were greated as soon as we walked in the door wich made us feel welcomed. I had to come back and see what treasures I would find. Well I found some good bargains. Padigonia puffer jacket in good condition for only $19.00, a steal. Padigonia rain jacket for $20.00. Last year when I was in Tahoe purshased a rain jacket at the Padigonia store for $!80.00. What a diffrence. Got 3 name brand blouses for $6.99 each and they were in very good condition. The deal of the day was a pair of Burgundy pony hair loafers from Cole Haan. Yes I had to get them they were like new condition, berly stepped in. They retail around $150.00-$200.00, I got a steal for $20.00. Yes, they coming home with me. If you need ski equipment, clothing and snow gear, they have a wide selection of items at a low cost. Parking lot is a good size for this location. ,The day we visited there was plenty of parking to be found. Happy shopping

Well stocked. Clean. They could put more mirrors up after they took away the dressing rooms.

Great selection of items. I've found everything from a Le Creuset kettle to Patagonia items here. It's hit or miss but it's fun every time.

Ask the Community - Goodwill Industries Sacramento Valley & Northern Nevada

Are there snowboards for sale?

Does this location have pick-up truck? We have a large piece to donate that won't fit in our car.

No. No pick up however if u get it there they can help unload. Sorry might not be of any help just thought I would put my two cents in.

I've been reading-up on backcountry skis for a few seasons now, trying to assemble the gear I need…read morewithout going broke. Last Friday I was up in Tahoe, and Tahoe Gear Exchange had what seemed like a good deal, so I bought the bundle: skis, bindings and skins. A week later, here are my thoughts: 1. Both employees were nice, and low-key. The guy called over his coworker, saying that she would know more about the bindings, and she did. 2. The guy soon had to punch-out, and the woman was handling all customers, AND prepping to close. She did a great job doing both. Since buying the equipment, I've learned that it's a great ski for what I need, and a great binding for what I need. It's not this consignment shop's job to carry just equipment for beginners, or just equipment for experts, but my visit worked out great. Thanks Tahoe Gear Exchange! PS - The shop reminded me that everything for sale was displayed on their e-commerce site. That's a reminder to A) look online, and B) to not screw-around if you like something. You could have it in your hands, and someone a hundred miles away could buy it before you committed at the register...

Staff listened carefully to my wants and picked out some awesome Volkl skis and Nordica boots that fit like a glove. Even helped me compare specs between two models. This place is the best, I don't shop new anymore because I can always find what I need here- from supplies, to clothing, to equipment. As a consigner, the shop is really transparent with their pricing model and you can get a check for cash or store credit to spend at the store. They are really helpful with establishing pricing and will help you figure out where to charge more and when to charge less.

Nice little shop for browsing while you're charging your car next door at the electrify America…read morecharging station. Products aren't exactly things I'm typically looking for, but it's still fun to look. This little shopping mall is very strange though. First thing you see when you walk in the door is an ice cream store. Then there's a giant sign that says no ice cream in the mall.

Upon visiting this shop three times during our awesome long trip to Tahoe, it was closed. Once…read morebecause they were closed Friday for some odd reason (which it does say on the door) and the others when it claimed they should be open. Today was one of those. We then left to stroll around and maybe come back later, assuming that maybe they are late). An exit was blocked to the parking lot to get into the next few shops right behind so we were going to give up on park there (half the lot or more was empty so shouldn't hurt anyone, you'd think). But this lady in an SUV pulling up started complaining that we can't park there, scolding us. I tried asking why they have the exit right there blocked (which would make it easy to get between the two parking lots) and she repeated herself. I tried again (nicely) an she ignored me. We ended up giving up and just going to get some food and came back to try the pirate shop again, and low and behold, who is the lady behind the counter? The rude one from the SUV outside earlier. We then turned around and left. No reason to support them if they are mean and scolding to customers and show up to work whenever the heck they feel like it. If you want customers, those customers need to be able to feel confident in their attempts to visit. All around bad vibe, sadly. Too bad as a store themed around pirates was more than intriguing. But money better spent elsewhere.
