Having been to this store a handful of times I was excited to go in and shop today but unfortunately I don't think I'll ever be going back. As I was in line waiting to check out I noticed some people arguing price with the owner and thought nothing of it, BUT I absolutely should have. I made polite conversation with the owner as he was ringing up my items but then when he said my total I was a bit taken aback as it was higher than I had expected. When I was shopping I had been keeping a running total as I went and this seemed well above it. Unfortunately I did not trust my gut and paid for my items and figured I'd just check everything when I got in the car. I was given no receipt and when I went to check the items I remembered that as we were chatting the owner had cut off the price tags. I calculated (rounding up) what I remembered the tags to have said (even checking pictures I had sent my husband for opinions) when I was shopping and was shocked to see that I had been overcharged by about $50 dollars. It seems like this guy likes to take advantage of people and just charge whatever he feels in the moment and then makes it so there's little to no consequence for his actions because there's no way to "be sure" unless you're watching and calculating every single thing as he goes through. The only reason this review isn't one star is because of my previous pleasant experiences but BE CAREFUL here because you never know when the owner might decide to ruin your day. read more

The owner here is so very friendly and helpful always. When my older daughter isn't with me, she will ask how she is doing. Prices are that you'd expect from a thrift store with the exception of new and collector items. I came in looking for snow boots for my 84 year old mother but couldn't find one her size. Her employee went to the back where they had shoes they hadn't put out to look and see. No luck but she tried so I appreciate that. I did find one for me in great condition, normally around $60 new but only $10 in excellent condition... too bad my daughter loved them too so I gave them to her. Always fun to come look from time to time to see if there is something I can't live without...without breaking the bank like the other thrift store in town. read more

Stumbled onto this thrift shop. Gentlemen said to come on in and as we entered the doorway, I heard 70's disco blasting from the speakers. He stated it was his record collection, I told him I loved the music. It was a cute little store w/lots of goodies & the gentleman was helpful & also funny! He gives the store flavor! Prices are average local thrift prices-still cheaper than some bigger thrift chains like Goodwill. We found few items & he gave us a little bit info about the quaint little town. I walked in and these ladies made a comment on my jeans (which are oversized and have rips on the knee area). no big deal since i get it a lot, but then they were talking about it and making rude comments behind my back. It honestly hurt my feelings and I will never go back. I'm genuinely in shock they think they can talk to a person that way. They're jeans, not short shorts or a bra. Grow up. read more

The place is a great small town thrift store. They are open seven days a weeks which is nice because most businesses in the area are not. The place is fairly small but packed to the brim with a bunch of stuff. If you are a deal hunter this is a good place to check out at some point if you are in the area. read more

Lots of fun treasures if you have the time to pause and look around. I do enjoy a good deal and wish there was a sale or color coded percent off ticket of sorts like many other thrift stores offer as I was on a mission to bargain hunt this trip . This is probably one of the only places I will donate to and buy from. When I moved out, I went to EVERY thrift shop in Carson/ Gardnerville and this was the only place that had cheap little pieces of furniture that I liked.
