Goodwill is a profit centered business model. It is nothing short of mercenary at how they now , in many instances, charge more than what was originally the retail price. I just asked for a price on an unmarked doll and had one that had clothes on for 4.99. I asked the cashier for a price, expecting that it would be less than 4.99 because it didn't have clothes. The manager scanned the serial number on the doll and told me that this type of doll was selling for $40.00 on EBay. I told him that he should put it on EBay. I felt that this behavior was inappropriate and a waste of my time. If Goodwill wants to haggle over prices, then that should hold an auction. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income. I don't want to be made to feel unreasonable just because they didn't mark the price on their merchandise. I was delayed, inconvenienced and embarrassed as this transpired in public. If Goodwill Will wants to behave in a mercenary way, then they should change their name. read more

The G4Y looking young guy with the long hair tried to sell me a radio that didn't work for $20 because it didn't have a price on it. At GOODWILL!! He wouldn't come down in price! The staff there is horrible would not recommend this store read more

Made a medium sized donation, the gentleman was attentive, quick, and courteous. Much better experience from what I had about 3 years ago.

This store must be under new management. The prices are crazy high and the store isn't as clean and organized as it once was about a year ago. Hopefully it bounces back! read more

For the same price, I'd recommend shopping at Ross Dress for Less. Goodwill no longer allows you to try on clothes before buying. At Least the clothing at Ross is new and you don't have to waste time trying on at home and keeping track of your receipt. read more

This is a great place. I have found new clothing and almost new shoes here for a fraction of the price it would cost new. It is true you can't try things on here and that is a huge bummer. It does make shopping harder. I would shop here more for clothes if they had dressing rooms. Hence the 4 out of 5 stars. read more

I Saw a Lion!!! Geez, I thought I was in the jungle for second. I spotted a lion sitting on top of a clothing rack. Luckily for me it was stuffed. The store is overpriced and there is no air conditioning. When I was there the inside smelled like cigarettes. Their clothing is not quality. A lot of heavily used, outdated items. Tons of fast fashion items which are ragged. The houseware dept reflected the same. Overall, this location is depressing. Take my word or see for yourself. read more

Wow, just wow I have never been treated so poorly. Now mind you I know it's the gw, my expectations are not that high but it would be nice to leave the store without being called a bitch by the employee for telling them there was nobody in the back to help me load a chair I just bought on my $100 trip of impulse shopping after making a nice donation. As I stood there for several minutes waiting to be checked out, finally a young girl comes walking up with her boyfriend. She walked past me 3 times after looking at me standing at the checkout. I asked a heavier set young girl who walked up if someone could check me out. She rolls her eyes at me and in a beyond condescending rude voice says "she's open on 3", even though the other girl just walked outside and she just walked away too. The thin girl with the glasses and the boyfriend finally came back to check me out, barely acknowledged me, just flirting with her boyfriend like we are in a high school cafeteria. I go to the back to have my chair loaded, wait 5 min then wonder through the back back up to the register to tell them nobody is back there. The 2 girls both again, act like I'm stupid and say "he's back there", like how dare you interrupt us hanging out. I then tell her I just walked through the back. She said to wait there, and as I do the pudgy one stares at me rolling her eyes like I am being this huge pain the entire time by asking to be helped. The little one came back and told me he would meet me around the back. As I push the door open, hadn't even stepped out the door the pudgy one says, "Ugh, what a bitch". Seriously all I did was ask you to do your job that you are getting paid for, I have never been treated so disrespectfully. You could at least wait until I walk out the door?! I used to shop at this goodwill a lot and never had problems, I always take my donations there too. I definitely do not feel like being charitable to them when I can go down the street to somewhere that expects their employees to behave with professionalism and respect to their customers. The only reason this even deserves 1 star instead of negative is because the guys that finally helped me load the chair. Shame on whoever the manager is these days, neither one of these girls acted like their behavior was out of the ordinary. No hesitation, just this is how we are allowed to act and treat our customers around here. read more

Nice clean shop. Well organized. What docks a lot of stars is the staff. Holy... I have NEVER meet such a cesspool of grumpy workers. Not a single staff worker was smiling or pleasant. The young gal cashier was a b...h. Tip: Just walk in, and avoid the workers. Don't try to ask where anything is, just make sure you give yourself time to search for whatever you're trying to find. The workers are useless. Don't bother saying hello, they'll just grumble at you like you're a burden to their lives. Come in, buy and quick leave. I'll use this store as a LAST RESORT. If I was the manger here would rethink the staff. Geez. read more

They took all my donation items. Didn't not pic like the rehome in wheat ridge store does. I will not ever go to the rehome again. I left with 1/2 my stuff. Goodwill rocks. And they have the best people working there as well. Michael was very polite and helped me empty out my van of mini blinds. So if you need any blinds / Check out the goodwill at 80 and wads. I called today and spoke with an employee. I asked if I could bring a dresser, a toddler dresser, an office chair and some other small stuff. She assured me that they would take it all. Upon arriving the man taking the donation stuff was very rude. He said they would only accept the the toddler dresser and small stuff. This was a big inconvenience and now we have to find a place to drop of the big dresser and chair. There needs to be better communication amongst the staff. read more

Though I recently scored an awesome bright apple green 70s upholstered chair that rocks and swivels in brand new condition here for just $25, I was a little miffed at my experience yesterday. I'm a frequent donator (start watching Hoarders or Clean This House and you will be too!) and usually they are friendly when accepting my multiple bags of stuff. But yesterday a gruff little man ripped the bags right out of my hand and threw them at the bottom of an empty big blue bin before shoving a receipt in my hand...all without a word or eye contact. I heard my perfectly fine and functional glass coffee maker carafe shatter which bummed me out. Not to mention, many of the household items I picked up inside the store were chipped or damaged, and I wonder if they came that way or it was poor handling in the back room? On the plus side, I did find a $30 Pampered Chef scoop for a buck... read more

This is an average Goodwill store. Most of the store is clothing. I believe Goodwill is overpriced. Most of their clothes are ratty and ripped and they still charge more than other thrifty stores. They just got rid of a lot of their books and don't have a lot of the nonfiction section anymore. Their prices on books are way too high, especially for hardback books. The workers are usually in a bad mood and don't try to hide it at all. They tend to ignore you until you check out. read more

I make frequent donations and always have mixed emotions. I feel good about my donation, but sad about how they handle my donations. I really try hard to ensure my items are in working order and all the parts are there. I often have any spare parts in a bag or taped to the item. The people who accept my stuff could care less - it's all dumped into a big blue bin regardless of what it is. I even tell them about the extra parts - doesn't matter, it's all dumped. I would bet that several perfectly good items are ruined by this handling. I know it's a thankless job, but at least try to take care of the stuff. After all, isn't the purpose of my donation to be resold to help you make money and help others? I normally don't go inside, but have the last couple of times and made my first purchase today. They appear to have a very large clothing section - it's half the store and then the other half is a mix of kitchen stuff, furniture, dishes and a variety of other stuff. It's organized in general buckets, but poorly arranged or orderly. It's a shame - they could do more with what they have and I would give it a higher rating. read more

Vertical paper towel holder needed? Maybe a squirt bottle that you don't want to pay $2-3 for from Ace Hardware? How about a nice basket made of bamboo or rushes to replace that damn metal fruit stand that always bruises your fruit, and what's more, the basket displays it more attractively? Not enough? How about you can get all these items, sets of dishes, glasses, books, kitchenware, clothing and more, dirt cheap? Am I talkin yer language now? And they're open after posted business hours, on a Sunday night? *Nice*. There's nothing mindboggling or outstanding about this store, although they do have kindly cashiers. But if you like saving money on assorted items and having the money go to good causes, this is a decent place to go to do it. If you don't have any mental blocks against going into thrift stores, check them out if you're in the area, NE corner of 80s and Wads in the Safeway shopping plaza. read more

Nothing feels better than buying recycled clothes and electronics. As much as I love the feeling of a new shirt, I end up feeling better wearing one that has been repurposed. This Goodwill often has new items from target that either didn't sell or we're overstocked and the savings on them can't be beat. read more

Been coming here since it opened. There's so little on the shelves. I was told that they didn't have enough staff to put stuff out.

A really nice, clean store and all the prices were good It was well organized and neat.. I didn't think it was too pricey.(likes some thrift stores out to make a big buck). We have been here several times to look around and we really enjoy this store. Some stuff wasn't marked but finding a clerk was easy enough as it isn't a real big store. I did get an almost new Santa Claus Cookie jar for $4.99. There was just a small chip on the inside of the lid where nobody could see. read more

Probably one of the most overpriced and inventory lacking GWs around. $10 for some no name shoes? No shoes are under $9.99. They cut their books shelf in half, toy shelf has nasty toys on it. Just not that great of GW. Think I'll stick to others from now on. read more

Excellent thrift store with a fair selection. The best part by far are the prices - this place beats ARC, Habitat, and definitely all the pawn shops. Staff are friendly and very willing to help, the store is bright and clean, and it stays open fairly late. Only downside is a slight lack of organization and a smaller selection than some of the larger stores. read more

While the variety of items is good, the prices are way over-priced. I looked at several items that were priced for a gallery or antique store, not thrift store. Way out of line compared to other Goodwill stores in the metro area. read more

Month #6 on my diet and I'm finding I'm in need of some smaller sized clothes. Now, for anyone who has been halfway to their diet goal, you know as much as I do that the thought of buying new clothes is very exciting! However, why go pay full price for brand new clothes when you're going to need yet another (hopefully!) smaller size of clothes in the near future? Don't be silly and don't waste your money! Come here and get a wardrobe to hold ya over until you can drop some big bucks on threads when you reach your goal! They offer 6 spacious dressing rooms - 3 for the lads and 3 for the ladies. Their selection of clothing is huge here. I found more often than not that their clothes are in better condition than other locations, including the ARC thrift stores. Or, I could just be experiencing good thrift shopping luck! I love that the clothing is separated from the home/appliance/books/spatula/pez dispenser... area. It makes the space look more organized and clean. I wasn't pleased with my first clerk experience here, but I had a much more pleasant lady during my second time in. I'm officially calling this my favorite Goodwill in Arvada. read more

I have shopped at this location for many years and have had a favorable experience, however, tonight was an exception. The manager with red curly hair was rude! During my shopping adventure an announcement over the intercom indicated a sale for 50 percent off 12 or more items. Upon check out i noticed that not all items for ringing up at said price. When I brought it to the attention of the clerk she called manager over and proceeded to tell me that blue and pink tags are not on sale. I explained that the announcement failed to disclose colored tag exclusions at which point the manager became immediately defensive and rude stating "well, im not gonna give 50 percent off and you are gonna have to pay full price". I didn't ask or demand a discount. I merely wanted to understand and express that I did not think it was right to falsely advertise. I proceeded to go thorough my cart to eliminate not need items when another announcement came over the intercom Indicating that blue and orange tags were not on sale when I was previously told 'blue and pink' and my blue and pink items were set to side by the clerk. I asked the manager again to clarify and with such negative attitude and rudeness she stated "i told you blue and orange". I asserted, no you did not". At that point I understood and assume the FLASE advertising tactic is intentional based on a mangers response and rudeness. I had 110 dollars worth in my basket with I left the majority in the store and made a purchase of two items totaling 10 dollars and some change. My check out clerk was a male that was very friendly and animated which is what I am used to at this store. The rude manager on the clock today Thursday 12/14/17 at 7pm is female with red curly hair and a reverse layered bob with an A line face framing. I will go back to shopping on Saturdays at the ARC and continue to donate there. I donate at least 20 boxes every two months 2-3 months to the ARC and will never donate to Goodwill. All ofthe ARC sales are posted on big screen and boards around the store...nothing obscure. I will not be coming back to this location. There is nothing there that I need that I cannot afford to pay full price for elsewhere. Amazon will continue to get the majority of my shopping money. Internet shopping is wonderful and representatives are obviously trained in customer service not like at this Goodwill store. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible. Worst goodwill store I have ever seen or been to. Went in looking for shorts for me and my son. Clothes are on racks in absolutely no order just randomly hung on the racks. When I tried to ask an employee for some help she blatantly ignored me and walked off. I asked another employee to speak to the manager and was told she didn't know where the manager was. I called and spoke to some girl who wouldn't give her name but identified herself as the supervisor on duty. I explained the situation to her and her only response was an immediate line of excuses about how it wasn't her fault. This place sucks, even for a goodwill store. read more

This use to be a great store. I waited in line for 10 minutes when the cashier announced there was another cashier downstairs. A few of us went downstairs to find out there wasn't one and we lost our place in line. read more
