Staff at this one is nice and easy going I always find great stuff but overpriced as usual. Why are wallets the same price as a shirt? Make that make sense please. This is a decent Goodwill. The staff are all very friendly and the store is pretty well organized. Some of the circle racks don't have sizes listed on them so that can be a bit of a challenge. But otherwise it's actually quite nice. The prices aren't bad and I've been able to find a couple of cute clothing items for decently cheap. The donation drive-thru lane is brilliant. The process was really quick and smooth and all of the employees working it were very nice on the day I was dropping off. read more

We love coming here to donate our unwanted items. It is easy and usually quick to unload. The staff will unload the car if you want them to or you can unload yourself and they will haul it off where it needs to go. If you want a receipt dont forget to ask for it! They dont always offer. I dont necessarily love shopping in the store however. I have a hard time looking through the clothes or items with the way its organized but its kind of the nature of used items verses new. My daughter loves to shop there though and frequently finds good deals or treasures that she is happy with ! Thankful for good will and having a place to rehome used stuff! read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! A while back, I went to the Fort Collins Goodwill and bought a couple of items - a backpack for $8.99 and flip-flops for $1.99. Paid by credit card, was not given a receipt, and didn't think of asking for one at the moment. When I arrived home and checked my credit card notifications, I was shocked to see a charge of $83.49 listed (many times over the sum of $8.99 + $1.99 + tax). I was puzzled how the cashier came up with the $83.49 charge for those two little items. I live about 1.5h hours away and decided to drive back the next to fix the mistake and request a reimbursement of the overcharge. Talked to the manager, explained what happened and what I needed from him. "Sorry, mam, without a receipt, nothing we can do" was his response. I told him the exact time of the purchase and the exact cashier I was helped at, so he could look at the camera recordings and see that I was there and that those were the only items I bought, and that I needed the refund of the overcharge. He came back without a resolution, said he could not come up with a receipt, and without a receipt he could not provide a refund. Talk about going in circles and not honoring my request to correct their huge mistake!!! I was then told I should contact my credit card company. I did submit the refund request, and it was temporarily credited until they revised the claim. Two weeks later came the response; the claim was denied (no receipt to prove it to them, right?) and the posted credit was taken out of my account again. Back to square one. I traveled to F.Collins again weeks later when I had a chance and returned to the store to resolve the issue. I again explained it to the manager. He said, 'no returns'. Listen, Sir, it's not about returns, it's about getting my money back, that overcharge. I got no satisfaction out of this conversation, not even an apology. "Nothing we can do about it, we only keep the camera recordings for three weeks, so we cannot check and not give you the money back without a receipt". Rules / restrictions thrown at the customer to get out of taking the right action. NO care about the big problem caused to the customer, wasting not only my money but also my time!!! HOW DARE A BUSINESS TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT MAKE GOOD ON THEIR MISTAKE? It's still a puzzle how the cashier came up with the $83.49 charge for those two little items. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE that gets me to write my first ever negative review for any business. read more

This used to be a place where people that were struggling could buy things of still good condition at a lower price. That's not the case anymore. Most things are priced at almost full price and with the new circle racks it's basically unshoppable. The associates are volunteering and have no idea how to offer where to find anything. Please remove the toxic perfume machines that were recently installed. It is not only disgusting, but a major health hazard to almost everyone who breathes. I normally spend a great deal of money in this particular store each month, but migraines and gagging should not be a condition of finding good prices. There is no excuse for this. They do not have dressing rooms, and they only accept returns for 7 days, and its only for store credit! What a scam.

This was the worst goodwill experience I have ever had. I never write bad reviews or return food but this was just awful. I shop at Goodwill all the time and came to look at some furniture, I found this type of table that I have been looking for a long time and was ecstatic. I said I would love to buy and one of the floor staff told me to take the tag and pay upfront. I asked him if he had to put a SOLD sticker on it like the rest of the furniture around me, he said no and I trusted him which was my mistake. I told the cashier how much I loved my find, she seemed incredibly annoyed that I was talking to her and didn't say anything except to pick up my piece in less than 24 hours. I come maybe an hour later to find that the piece is gone and has been sold again to someone else. The manager proceeded to tell me people "pick up and walk out with furniture all the time." and that he would refund my money. I told him to keep the money and I'll take another table that wasn't even close to the quality or type of the one I already bought. He told me that "wasn't allowed". I told him he wasn't allowed to lose furniture. I picked it up and walked out with it because apparently, people do that all the time. read more

They keep this place pretty organized. The cashiers are super friendly, I never understand why you can't shop from the hanging wracks they are putting away on the floor?? Don't you want to SELL clothes, why not let people grab off those racks also. And WHY is there not a dressing room already?? Ridiculous, you primarily sell clothes, people need to try them on. The back room outlet is now $1.99 per item. I'm sorry, but if I have to dig through filthy bins of crap, I need to feel like I am getting a screamin' deal. A lot of the items in the regular Goodwill stores are priced at $.99 or $1.99... and I don't even have to risk slicing my finger on broken glass to get them. The inside of the store is still better than it was a few years ago. But I walked out empty handed yesterday and don't think I will be back. UPDATED REVIEW FROM JUNE 2018 - 2 stars: I visited the store today and it was a disaster zone. Shoes piled in a corner, clothing on the floor and thrown over racks, merchandise piled up in stacks here and there, random stuff and boxes crammed into all of the dressing rooms on one side of the store, filthy floors, clothing disorganized and out of size order and that's just a list of some of the issues. This store needs a deep cleaning and organizing! REVIEW FROM JUNE 2017 - 3 Stars: I've shopped here many times. It's not the best thrift store I've shopped in and it's not the worst. The store is usually pretty disorganized and a little dirty. Some of that is because it is jam packed with stuff which can mean you find bargains. The other reason is the customers - there are always at least a few shoppers with multiple unruly children that have not been taught how to act in public wreaking havoc while their parents either completely ignore them or just yell at them from the other end of the store. I carefully prepared breakable china donations with bubble wrap for my first trip to Goodwill in my new home town of Fort Collins. Was surprised to see the "Drive Through" feature. (Was this the brain child of Goodwill Industries new CEO, Steve Preston?) If so, he needs to rethink this less-than-brilliant maneuver -- especially if those "manning" the drive-thru are as cavalier as those who emptied my trunk by throwing -- yes -- throwing my donated items into their large bins. When I heard the horrible crashing and breaking sounds, I jumped out of my vehicle and shouted at them to stop immediately. They looked at me blankly. (Language barriers? Drug use? Mere incompetence?) They simply continued to do what they were doing: Destroying perfectly good items. Never again will I donate to this location. Prices and selection aren't great, but my primary issue with them is that I once watched an employee smash a beautiful and high end set of dishes, on the sales floor, one by one, just for his personal entertainment. We have donated over $250,000 in cash and high quality furniture to Goodwill over the last 2 years. They lost that today. We had a $1600 recliner that was lightly used for 2 weeks to donate. We called to confirm they would be accepting donations and they said yes starting at 10 am we drive in to the lot at 10 am and are turned away saying they are not accepting any donations. Wasting my time is not something I will abide. They should have honored their commitment, In turn we will no longer support them. read more

The store is just one giant trash heap. I used to love going to Goodwill on the weekends but this store i has turned me off going there for good unless they seriously turn things around. I know it's a "thrift store" and the items aren't new which i'm fine with but my problem is that no one that runs the store care anything about appearance. walking through the store everything is just piled up on shelves with out any consideration for the merchandise your trying to sell to people. I've see. better organization in people's basements. There's a lot of things there selling that's literally garbage because it's either broken and/or severely damaged. I am from the Seattle area & have visited Goodwill stores up & down the west coast for years. I have to say this is, BY FAR absolutely the very worst store I have ever been in! It was so disappointing that such a beautiful area as Ft. Collins has this as their representative store. It is so disorganized. The children's clothes are not sorted or organized in any way as are other clothes through out the store. The shelves are just piled, 4 items deep with just crap. I made the mistake of donating items before entering the store. I had carefully sorted, wrapped & packed items they just dumped into bins. I just read previous reviews & apparently this has been standard operating procedure for quite some time. Sad... Seems the manager of that store reads no reviews as nothing has changed. Boy, that manager should be fired. Makes one wonder if the corporate office is aware of what almost is a dangerous store it is to shop in. What an embarrassment & obviously no pride in their job by management. My sympathies to you Ft. Collins for having that as your store. Boycott it! read more

I went on a 50% off day so parking was a nightmare. Very large store but I felt all of the clothing was picked through meaning there wasnt a lot of the racks. The lines were long and I think it was mainly due to them allowing customers to do their returns. Ive been to other goodwills that do not accept returns on 50% off day because of the chaos. Waiting in line for 45mins is a bit ridiculous because someone decided to return a set of plates. I saw 4 returns throughout the lines while I was waiting. For that purpose alone, I wouldn't come back to this location on sale days. They also carry Target Salvage items so you can actually get some new/returned furniture in boxes which I always like. read more

2-Part Review: First, the store itself. It's fairly sizable, could use a bigger parking lot. The selection is fantastic - I always find something that I wouldn't buy new (Los Angeles Kings jersey - $1!) but I'll take a flyer on. Think of it as "employing somebody to break in your clothing for you". The store is Spartan but verges on being stuffed full. The employees have always been decent and helpful to me, and that leads me to the 2nd part of his review: I look at the reviewers who came before me, and I see some spoiled brats. It's a friggin' thrift store, and the employees are people who are trying to get their lives back together. It's NOT going to be Macy's, or Needless Markup (Neiman-Marcus) - behave accordingly. I hardly shop here so no I don't automatically know about their silly made up conditions when you return items. I returned a t-shirt with the tag (the tag was not attached but I had both the tag and receipt with me) but apparently the tag needs to be attached but the manager never had a good solid explanation as to why. She just said and pointed on the receipt that I should've known to look on the website to look at their return conditions. For one, nobody told me that as I checked out so maybe you as a manager need to be an actual manager and make sure her employees know that and mention that to every customer before they pay... Two, the receipt did NOT say anything CLEARLY about the tag needing to still be attached to the item...the manager literally said that it did when it does NOT. She expects me and everybody else to automatically know and go out of our way to go to the website that's printed on the receipt to look at their conditions.... That makes no sense at all. Horrible management. Their so damn greedy I couldn't even get my $4.29 back..."We're sorry we couldn't give you your refund" Yeah if you were sorry, you would have... A different time I ended up purchasing another item and I meant to return it so I left the tag on. Now I'm stuck with store credit that I didn't ask for because they make up ridiculous conditions. No, I don't want to play your little game, I wanted my real money back. Again, the employee just stood there without a word because the manager is horrible at her job. Walmart is better then this place and I hate Walmart. At least they give you your damn money back without all that horseshit attached!!! read more

I always enjoy thrifting and I feel that this is a great location. The space is very large and usually very clean and the shelves are well lit. I think the buidling is fairly new. Most of the floor is clothing but there is a portion for brick-a-brac, books, toys and other items. The staff seems to change freqeuntly but seem nice whenever I go in. The pricing is certainly afforadable unlike other thrift stores in Fort Collins. There is generally a set price for all clothing, yet some items may be priced a little higher if they are known to be a much higher quality. With that being said ive found very nice jackets, jeans and shirts for awesome prices. One complaint I have is the pricing on DVDs, last time I was there they wanted $3.99 for every DVD. Even local pawn shops sell them for $2.00 a pop. The same thing with video games, they need to lower the price so they move quicker. Another complaint I have is not directed to the store but to the people who shop there. Often times, a single parent will come in with several toddlers and leave them on the toy aisle. Ive even overheard a parent say "Okay you guys stay here while I shop", its not Chuck E. Cheese, keep your kids with you or leave em home. Overall the store is the nicest thirft store in our city and I shop there as often as I can. read more

Showed up at 8:01 to make a donation and the guys are there with the doors open but refuse to take the donation because we were 1 min late. We are moving, leaving town and had to throw away very nice things because they refused to take the donation. I understand respecting hours and I would have fully understood had they been gone by then but they spent more time telling us they wouldn't take the donation than it would have taken to do so. All items at Goodwill are donated they have a back room was good, gone crazy and you pay 1 dollar for every item even if it is a set. Dollar per plate per pc of jewelry and bag of pens you pay 1dollar per pen. Crazy you would think they paid for it In the last year they have raised there prices 3 times. Grabbing some storage boxes for a basement so they don't have to be fancy or to even match. Luckily, I found this particular Goodwill! Monday afternoon, rainy all day -- wow are they popular! I'm commenting on the customer service, which in my opinion was Stellar. There were several representatives at the store who jumped at the chance to answer any questions from the multitude of browsers. I got the ROCKSTAR Andre who moves faster than lightening & without my even asking offered to help me carry the many containers to the front. He had previously given me excellent directions to an unusual item I needed. Though some reviewers wrote that it's a disorganized store, I've been to a bunch of Thrifts -- to me, it seems busy with high turn over. But, Andre knew where everything was. THEN he helped this "old-man-on-cane" out to my car with the two baskets of baskets I bought. Kudos to Andre for knowing the store so well & to the great customer service I received from him & the rest of the staff. read more

I took over a box of nice things today including some breakables, books, clothes, cd's, etc. and the guy just dumped the entire box in dumpster and I heard a crash so anything I had or was in dumpster was now broke. Really, last time I donate to Goodwill. This store is disorganized, dirty and they certainly don't respect any donations as they treat everything like trash! Pricey price pricey. I used to go here, but now they ask for almost brand new bought in the store prices for used stuff. They used to charge pretty good prices on things and now all the sudden the prices are just crazy. I used to go all the time, but now it seems more worth it to me to shop and pay $2 more dollars for brand new never used. There is two times that completely changed my opinion though. 1) A lady in front of me was shopping and had her big purse in the cart. She went to pay and someone actually stole her wallet out of her purse when she was not looking. She explained to the manager and cashier what happened and asked them to call the cops for her. They laughed first to eachother like almost a inside joke, and then in her face, and explained to her "oh we don't call the cops, you have to call the cops yourself". My mom and me, just being other customers in line behind her were taken back like Wow! What amazing customer service. A business that don't call the cops for customers when they have been robbed in their store. Hmm. 2) I went the other day, and had my purse jackets, everyone's jackets in the carts and diaper bags in the cart. Well I went to the fitting room to try on clothes. I innocently took the cart there was no attendant there. K pushed the cart all the way to the back and started trying on clothes. I was completely naked. When I hear someone rudely yell at me through the door right up against the door about the cart. The guy yelling at me when I am standing there naked alarmed me, the door you stand close enough it's a slatted door not solid. And you can see underneath if you really get down and look. Naked, and he managed to see that cart pushed way behind me in the corner. I was so pissed! He must have looked pretty hard to see I had a cart in there. Because I know he didn't see me go in because he wasn't anywhere near the fitting room. I don't care what your policy or your signs say, he could have handled that way differently. Now I get a sick feeling Everytime I thing he was peeping Tom in the dressing room. Creepy. I was trying to change back in my clothes because I heard him and was trying to get situated and so I could take the cart out and he yelled at me while I was naked. He kept yelling at metro take the cart out he needs the cart out rudely three times before I can get my clothes back on. Never again. Creepy. I will never shop here again. I take my business elsewhere. Besides they are over priced and rude customer service. read more

This store has gone downhill. It was great when it first opened, but over time it's gotten dirtier and dirtier. It's hard to shop because sizes aren't in the right place. I have shop Fort Collins, Co GW from the first day the store open. There was a time I would go almost every day to shop. Now I go once a month why? Because GW has become greedy. I enjoy collecting vintage jewelry I also look for scrap jewelry and maybe something really nice for me. Fort Collins, Co store has stopped selling donated jewelry to sell online for more GREEDY money. The store sends the donated jewelry to Denver to sort out the good stuff from junk then sell online. I do not bid on GW auctions online because it's impossible to get a good deal. It is unfair to donators and buyers. Also, GW sells Target stuff twice the price on the package. (Don't donate here, unless you want this man to resell your stuff on ebay) I was shopping with/for my 4 year old at the goodwill fort Collins. I was walking and I saw a nice jacket on a cart that was just rolled out from the back room. The jacket looked in new condition. As I went to gab and look at it, a little Hispanic man walked in front of me grabbed it including all of the other new looking jackets. ( he didnt even look at the sizes he just grabbed and walked away) He walked to his cart and covered it up with a blanket. I stood by him petending to look at books. I was listening to what he and other guy were talking about. He said that he and his wife both stay there all day. The man said "i collect the men's clothing and electronics and my wife collects the woman's clothing and shoes!. " He continued to talk about how he stays all day at this goodwill and waits for the carts come out the back and takes all the stuff with value and resells his items. What I thought was FISHY is when a goodwill employee came out with a cart the man's eyes lit up and he and his wife went straight for the cart. The employee lady looked at them both and said "this cart has nothing good in it, only Halloween items." "Wait for the next cart" !!!!!!!!????????? How is this man and wife able to work at this store and take all the "good items" and resell them. He is always there!!! If you donate anything with real value just know it will be grabbed buy this man and will be sold on ebay. It will not go to a person that wants to buy it for their self. read more

I went drop off just 2 items that someone could really use but unfortunately the drop off line was 15 cars deep. (Easily a 20 min or more wait time) I simply walked up to the drop off and placed it on the ground where the rest of the stuff goes and was told that they don't accept walk ups. I didn't ask for help or a receipt, I only wanted to donate. In the future I will just throw stuff that people could use away because this store and its terrible policies. read more

I frequent this goodwill a lot. Prices are cheaper than the arc for sure but, I think somethings can be very unreasonable (like a 50.00 walmart quality bookshelf. I went to walmart 27.89 and mine was brand new!) But, someone has to pay the president of goodwills 350k salary right? I love the employees (the night shift ladies BREE ESPECIALLY) I have found a few gems here. I would give this store a 5 but, I have never seen management friendly at all and keep hoping it will change or they will. I have had issues with Cindy the assistant manager and even after speaking to corp nothing seems to be done about her nasty attitude and dirty stares. Updating my review because while driving by the store today I noticed the back room outlet store is back! I will offer 2 stars for now because of Goodwill's inconsistency. If the outlet still exists in a month, I may update my review again and give a little more credit. The place was still a disaster, parking was horrendous, kids freaking everywhere unsupervised... setting up dollhouses and race tracks in the middle of the aisles. Parents did nothing. Employees did nothing. For the love of all things good- PEOPLE, STOP TAKING YOUR KIDS TO GOODWILL! At the very least children should not be allowed in the back outlet period! Unsorted stuff + unsupervised kids = an accident waiting to happen. On a more positive note- Keith, if you are reading this... thank you for hearing me out, listening to my frustrations about the store, and being very respectful and courteous to me with your response.
