Been here a few times, had both good and bad experiences. Good- the cashier was very nice. I asked to put an upholstery steamer near the checkout while I continues shopping and got approval, however about an hour later when I was ready to checkout the steamer was nowhere to be found it never reappeared. We think just took it being that it was near the front door. While this was a bummer, i was really appreciative of the cashier. He was very apologetic and spent a good 10 min checking everywhere And calling the person in the back as well. Was not their fault. Theives succeed even when you do all the right stuff. He discounted one of my items about $7 and he didn't have to do that so it was really nice. This young man is always very nice and welcoming. Bad- to contrast the young man I just mentioned, there is a manager that works there that I found very rude and disrespectful. I came to the store with about 10 min to spare. I just needed a tool box. I pulled up and as I was about 15 ft in front of the doors, the manager person came up and locked the doors. He could clearly see I was about to enter. But he locked up and just walked away pretending he didn't notice. Normally I'd just leave, but the fact that I saw him look at me and then walk away and just mosey around while I stood outside the doors pissed me off. So I stood there waiting for him to look and see if I was still there. He did, I waved, he came over with a scowl unlocked the doors and said we close in 3 min. I looked at my phone, they closed jn 7 min. So I said oh yeah in about 7 min actually- he cut me off and said do you see any yet customers in here ? We have already started closing down and we're mopping the floor. I said oh ok that's no problem at all I will come back another day. But do you happen to know if you have tool boxes or any kind of locking boxes ? I just wanted to know if I should even bother coming back so I was hoping he'd be cool about answering a simple yes or no. But instead he huffs and turns around to the guy mopping and annoyed sounding tells him to go see if we have any "tool boxes". I was fed up with his attitude and his disrespect to a customer looking for one item that was well within their store hours. I just said no don't worry about it's not a big deal sorry to have interrupted your night I'll come back Another time and just went back to my car. Manager said nothing after that just locked up again and went about his way. I realize 10 min before closing is not the time You want to see someone enter your store When you live already done closing procedures and hoping to leave work right away. Been there done that. But to not only lock the door on me as walked up, and then walk away like u didn't see me and make me stand there for 3 min before you peek over to see if you've been rid of me, was really offensive. As a human being to another it's just rude. But then to explain why I have no right to enter as if I'm a huge burden to you and your staff and go out of your way to be as in accommodating as possible becuz I just want me to get lost asap, was just kinda disgusting. No apology no kind words no help nothing but hostility and annoyance and disrespect. Funny thing is, I've worked as a customer service manager for a large company for a long time and I get it, so if he would have just met me at the door when I walked up and said hey miss I'm sorry but we're about to be closed in a few minutes. But we will be open tomorrow morning at X time. I would have appreciated the kindness and happily so ok thank you I will see you tomorrow. But the fact that he locked me out 10 min early and paced around knowing I was standing outside is the reason I didn't just leave right away. Wish I had his name, but i imagine that the way I described this encounter- the staff there will know who I'm talking about bcuz I can guarantee this isn't a one off event, this is a description of his personality, and is normal behavior. read more

I need to start by saying the staff is lovely, this review has absolutely nothing to do with them. Prices are actually insane now. Pants are an average of $8-14, no not name brand or new. So much target, Walmart, and SHEIN. Tops start at $6 (rare) but usually are $8, and many things are stained and ripped. Like so many things... Shoe prices are completely unreasonable, and they price leather or suede items at up to $35-$50. You cannot find a single item below four dollars, and the four dollar items you do find are stained, completely blown out, unwearable tank tops. I used to go here all the time. It was my favorite thrift store for years, but the quality has gone down and the pricing has gone up. It's very disappointing. Goodwill do better, you'd be better off shopping at TJmaxx or online NEW for LITERALLY a couple dollars more read more

We love our neighborhood Goodwill! Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. We love how clean and organized this Goodwill is compared to others. They are constantly reorganize and moving things around, but we don't mind it. I do miss the regular aisles instead of the round racks, but that's a small preference. I do wish their dressing rooms were open. We frequent this location enough though that returns are not too much of an issue. Sometimes we'll just go in to peruse, and we always leave with some treasure! read more

I got charged twice for the same item ($17) with a total spent of $113.; called the next day to report to the manager. She told me to bring in my receipt and my card and I would be credited. I explained I didn't live in that area and it might be a few days until I made it in; she said no problem. Went in 3 days later and the manager Phillip on duty was also the cashier; he was visibly irritated and shaking as I approached the counter. I explained what happened and he told me it was for 2 different items I wasn't overcharged, told me there wasn't a manager with the name I spoke with and was argumentative. Once he called his other manager he said he could give in-store credit. He said in order to credit my card I had to return the item within 2 hours after purchase. I finally received an in store credit and was flipped off multiple times by the other cashier as we were heading to our car. I am a senior citizen and had my daughter and grandchild with me. We were shocked at the hostile attitudes and disrespectful demeanor. In all my years I have never been treated so rudely and poorly; still in disbelief. Phillip was quite confident in his job security and stated so when I told him I was going to address this with upper management. We will see if Goodwill Industries does the right thing regarding the treatment of loyal supporters of their mission and paying customers. read more

I have always been a big supporter of Goodwill over the years and have done my best to bring them any household items I was no longer in need of. Today I took over a dresser and a night stand. Of course it had some dents in dings but it was a solid wood type. If it was any nicer I would've kept it right? Today they turned away my dresser and nightstand because of the "condition". So next time that I have an item to donate should I take the time to drive it over to Goodwill and have them inspect it in the back of my truck and risk them turning me away or should I simply take it to a dumpster? The path of least resistance here is simply to throw stuff in a dumpster as opposed to wasting my time driving to a Goodwill and have them do their "shopping" and "grading" in the back of my truck. My dad always said "beggars can't be choosers". Those of us that donate have an expectation that goodwill will take our items. Why should I bring them anything in the future? read more

I like to donate things that I no longer need and think it still is in good or decent condition. I go to this Goodwill because it's close to my house, but at the same time I dread going there. Most of the people at the drop off station are very unfriendly. And if it's not in perfect condition (furniture), you will just be waiting your time and effort. This Goodwill is my favorite one in the area. It is smaller than most, but it almost has a more 'boutique' sense about it. My friend and I came here to shop on a 50% off Saturday sale. The store is really clean compared to most Goodwill stores. All the clothing was well organized and in good condition. They had a colorful selection of cute tops, dresses and scarves we were pretty stoked about. The dressing rooms were clean and nice too. The prices were fine, Goodwill can be expensive for what you get sometimes. That's why I stick to the sales and get there early! The staff was friendly and happy. read more

This is a great Goodwill! Kind of hidden in the corner of the strip mall at Coal Mine and Pierce. They have a great collection of clothing that is always being refreshed and rotated. Minimal housewares and electronics, toys (my little one loves to browse so I have time to browse too) and books. They have a little of everything but mostly clothing. The Saturday sales are great and if you get on their email list you get some flash sales and other goodies. But get there early on the sale days. And the place does get a bit messy by the end of a sale day but that is due to the customers and not the staff who do a great job of keeping it nice. I am a fan! read more

I live close to this location, and I am pleased with how they organize the clothing. I bought a couple of blazers here which are normally really expensive. These were in great shape, and I only paid $5 each! I got a bright pink one and a lavender one. I like how they organized the clothes in colors (like I do my closet). It was very easy to find the colors I was looking for this way. I also got a brand new pair of sun glasses for only $5! I am very happy with this store, and the employees that work it. When I donate here, they are all so helpful and getting things unloaded and into the proper bins for further sorting. I am a fan! read more

I once found a like-new Kate Spade handbag at a Goodwill in San Francisco for $8. This is not that Goodwill. Part of the reason I'm not a big fan is that I don't like discount stores in general -- they tend to be disorganized and crowded, and I can only take about 10 minutes of that. This Goodwill's not the worst-organized thrift store I've seen, but it's hard to find what you're looking for. You'll have better luck if you're just in the mood to browse aimlessly (that way, it feels less like disorganization and more like a treasure hunt). The staff are pretty nice, but they can't help much if you need help finding a specific item. They do have a decent selection of books and DVDs. Things I have seen at this Goodwill that I would never buy under any circumstances: used lice removal formula, a lightly used toilet seat, lots of grungy stuffed animals that you probably don't want your kids to lick, and used men's underwear. (WTF? I thought they didn't accept used underwear!) If you can handle discount stores, I guess this one is as good as any, but it's nothing special. Your mileage may vary. They do have great discounts for seniors on ... Wednesdays, I think? Bring along a senior and save an extra 20% or so! read more

It used to be that you donated and bought there and that the donations and money made from those donations went to help others. But now, when I buy, they always ask me to round up my cost to donate an extra dime or extra buck! What? I already donate goods and buy goods from them which I thought went to help others. Who knows.. Not her fault as I am sure it is a Goodwill store policy to have the cashiers ask for the extra money. All these years I thought I was helping and now? I guess I am not buying and donating enough. Strange.. Asking customers that donate and shop there they are not helping enough. I thought they were a 501c3 organization.. or? Prices are outrageously high. Have been going for years but won't return. On a recent visit found a toy, plastic wrestling title belt for $9.99. A pack of coffee filters you can buy in a grocery store for $1.99 priced at $3.99. It's time for donors to donate their items to organizations that use the revenue to help people not create minimum wage jobs for your neighbors while the big money flows to executive salaries and rent in ever more elegant facilities. The only people benefiting from your generous donations to goodwill are the executives and the landlords. This location especially bad. The people printing the price tags are motivated by greed not charity. read more

Went in there 2 days ago and every employee was in a bad mood and I'm guessing it's because they have to work during the COV id19 of virus epidemic which I find to be irresponsible and ridiculous to make these people work when all the other retail stores are closed. read more

I recently went thrift shopping with my daughter to find furniture for her first apartment. I found the prices to be reasonable (compared to the other thrift stores) and the customer service excellent. When we arrived to pick up the furniture we purchased the gentleman who helped us not only helped transfer the very heavy dresser from the store into the back of the truck, but also provided us free bungy cords and string so we could stop the furniture shifting in the moving van we had rented. He was pleasant and very helpful! read more

Absolutely the worst Goodwill I've ever been to. Nobody around to help with questions and they ignore anybody standing at their valuables case EVEN when the registers aren't busy. Do not recommend it and won't be going back. read more

Always donated to help the disabled, but after today will NO LONGER donate to Goodwill. My husband took a truck load of items, solid wood desk, chair and bookcase, along with multiple other items that are very useable for someone in need or those who like to repurpose...but, after a lady came out to inspect items (Yes Inspect), which we never had done before, we will never donate again. We always trash items we know are not useable. Yes, the desk had some scratches, but with a little sanding, paint, etc.., it could have looked brand new....especially if someone wanted to do a distressed look. She stated they do not want junk and hand picked items out of the truck. Well....never again!! They make a profit from donations...Really!! Will definitely give to those who appreciate. So Sad Goodwill is now getting picky!!!! Lots of other places to donate to. Apparently this place is only into PROFIT to themselves. Always asking to round up to next dollar as well...really? This Goodwill is very close to my house, so drop in regularly, but I am usually disappointed. This store gets a lot of unsold merchandise from local retail stores, especially Target. They are very proud of this. Anything new with tags is outrageously priced and never marked down. They had a batch of leggings that I recognized from the Walgreens's across the street. Walgreen's had them priced at $5. Goodwill marked them at $6, never marked them down, and let them collect dust for at least three years. They seem to believe any "new with tags" merchandise is made of gold. The donated used goods are not much better. Broken, damaged, and worn items are priced close to new, and many things are marked at more than retail. I regularly spot items from Dollar Tree marked at three or four dollars. If I do find something worth buying, I inevitable end up standing in line for a long time, and the service is generally neutral or unpleasant. To top it off, the bell that alerts attendants of a new drop off plays an annoying rendition of "Fur Elise" and makes shopping anywhere near the receiving area very irritating. There are many thrift stores in the area with a better experience, better pricing, and a better mission. I prefer to support those, both with my donations and my dollars. I urge others to do the same. read more

This store , as well as the other GW stores has become so expensive that you wonder if they remember what they are in business for. The manager is not friendly . Her staff is good. They are always nice. They are scanning their books and selling them on line, so I can't even find good books anymore and I even heard that now they aren't selling any of the fun jewelry I usd to be able to find because they are putting that on line as well.
