A lot of items are stained/ripped, and the return policy is bogus. Staff is okay but management is terrible.

Far too much of the floor space in this store is dedicated to clothing racks and they are so numerous and so close together that it is difficult to move about the store. I also worry that the store's management, by stuffing so many clothing racks in such a limited space, is violating the fire code. read more

So, this is one of the more rundown Goodwill stores I've been to... which is totally fine, but it ended up having poor air circulation & I didn't find any deals. It was 50% off purple tags... someone tell me why there were little to no purple tags to be found. The staff was pleasant and the non-sale items were marked the same as any Goodwill store. The book area was unorganized as well, so no solid book finds for this book thrifting girl here! The plus of this location is the staff is very kind! Otherwise, I don't think I'll be back to hunt for any "deals" here! Still, if you're in the area, I always recommend getting your own take on thrifting locations, because it can change by time you see this review! This was just my experience! read more

Employees can make a business successful, but a manager can ruin it... It is a running joke that Goodwill doesn't know how to adequately price what is *given* to them to sell as some of the time they price items higher than bought new...sometimes with the original tag right next to theirs. There are multiple social media sites dedicated to this phenomenon and while I chuckle at them when the roll though my feed, it isn't very often that I get to experience it first hand. I came across an item that still had the original bar code and the Goodwill tag was 25% higher than new. Since I felt I could use the item, I tried to approach the manager (Nathan? Maybe? I didn't get a chance to get his name...more on that later) to discuss a price adjustment and as I'm almost yelling at him from 10 feet away, he continued to walk until he's in the back employees' area. Ok, maybe he couldn't hear me...I can live with that. So I ask one of the employees to let him know I'd like to talk to him. She come out a few minutes later...no manager...a call comes over the intercom asking for his assistance up front. He comes out right past me as I try and get his attention again, he keeps on trucking. Ok, maybe the employee forgot to tell him... Or maybe once her heard his call for assistance, it slipped his mind... ...but it is starting to seem like he's avoiding me... I head back up front and once he is done with his duties, I make sure to stand in front of him to get his attention. I did, but it didn't seem to matter as he WENT AROUND ME AND NEVER STOPPED. In the 2 seconds he was near me, I told him that the pricing was messed up and and wanted to talk about it, but as he's 10 feet away from me, he says, over his shoulder, that the items are priced as marked. I didn't get his name, he didn't stop long enough to ask or see a name tag. I gathered my things and left... It's not very often that something upsets me, and truth be told, I would have accepted the same answer if he had actually stopped for 30 seconds to talk to me about it. But he didn't have time for that apparently and I guess that whatever he had to run to was more important than conducting some actual customer service. That's ok, I'm sure someone will address this behavior...if not now, than somewhere down the line when he dismisses someone who actually has some authority over him. To be clear I rarely have issues with the employees and management there. Most of them are super nice and will go out of their way to help you out. The other rude manager (I don't recall his name either) was also very dismissive, but I haven't seen him in a while. read more

This rating is for their donation reception service. This Goodwill location is down the street from my work so I will usually drop off donations at this location during my lunch break. Their drop off area is located in the back of the strip mall. There are signs and cones to mark the area which make it super visible. There is always a queue for donations but it goes fast. It is always manned by 2 super efficient employees which is always appreciated. read more

Since when does Goodwill charge just as much as retail stores at the mall? $30-$100 for shirts and jackets. Will not be shopping here anymore. $50 for a lamp, had ikea stuff the same price it's sold at ikea for but it's all stained and cracked. Corporate Greed. Over it. read more

Horrible horrible customer service. This little lady in kakis and a polo yelled at me about where the line was when in fact I was still shopping! Like you really need to learn how to talk to people that pay your light bill. Calm down and learn respect you little angry human. Never ever returning and I'm calling corporate. read more

If I could give this location, a big fat zero for customer service, I would. I bought an item of clothing last night using a store credit. I was given a receipt, showing the item and the remaining balance on the store credit along with my original receipt. I went back today because the item didn't fit - surprise surprise since you can't try stuff on anymore. With this policy obviously people will be returning things. I was told I did not have the correct receipt and they could not take a return, I spoke with the cashier who helped me last night and he said he never doesn't give a receipt so basically he was blaming me - he took no responsibility and they did not try to make this right. they would not take a return without the receipt that I was never given, horrible customer service. I will not be donating or shopping at this location again. read more

After reading all the negative comments on this donation site I felt I should respond with the experience I had two days ago. They were respectful.. no yelling at me and thanked me before I drove away. I will definitely go back whenever l have anything to donate. read more

Love this store, however, drop offs are a pain. Long lines and long waits. They go through all the items asking what's in here etc. as they prefer to sort at that moment rather then getting people on their way. They're picky on what they accept. I'm tossing more then I should because of this. read more

Whoever you had scheduled at the drop off area today (Oct. 21st) around 4pm has been the kindest employee yet and I wanted to give him a shout out. It was raining and he gladly helped me with my items. This trip was make it or break it for me at this location, since the past 3 or 4 times I dropped off were pretty horrible. I often times drop off donations but then stick my head in and find something. The drop off process has unfortunately gotten worse over the years as I don't feel they are as careful with fragile items. I recent dropped off a frame picture that got beaten up and the glass was cracked. As for the selection inside --- I have found some incredible dress suits and shirts/sweaters for super cheap. If you visit them on Sunday --- they sometimes run a special for even more money off. read more

We have only tried to drop off items at this location twice and both experiences were absolutely terrible. The first time my husband started to exit our truck to get our items out of the back and a man screamed at him to stay in the truck. If that is their policy that's fine but screaming at us was unnecessary. Today we tried this location again which had two lanes open to trip off and again we were screamed at that we were using the double lane....even though both were open. We decided to just leave as this seems to be how that location operates. We won't ever use that Goodwill location ever again. read more

I've been shopping at the County Line Goodwill location for many years, my most recent (multiple) visits lead to this review. The store has a new manager who apparently believes that the merchandise in the store is twice as good as it's ever been (it isn't) so why not double the prices? (Bad/ naive marketing idea. Just priced yourself to sell only on sale days.) The store is pretty much dead most of the time, drive a mile-ish down the street to ARC and you'll see all the people who USED to shop here. Inventory is dismal, better than 50% is Blue Tag (never goes on sale, new/ dead stock merchandise Goodwill purchases from Target) and the rest is just, well, the same-o, same-o stuff. The store sure does LOOK pretty though with all that nice, open space... of course that's because there's not nearly enough merchandise to fill the shelves. Oops. People aren't donating as much due to all the bad press Goodwill has received nationally, at least not at this store located in the more socially- conscious, upscale location abutting Highlands Ranch. Someone needs to put their thinking cap on and analyze the buying and donating habits of their target market. My advice? Get back to your roots and offer bargain prices on items YOU GOT FOR FREE. Inventory will turn over faster and people will buy more items. A person who has $25 to spend will be much more likely to return if they got 10 items instead of 5, trust me it's human nature to want a full-to-bursting shopping bag when thrifting. I shouldn't have to mention that it's what you built your brand on. Just my $.02. read more

I stopped by this Goodwill on a weekday so I really can't say how it is when most people go on the weekends but this is a snazzy one thanks to being so close to Highlands Ranch! This one is really clean, kept together and doesn't smell like bleu cheese or homeless people so that's a plus right there! Clothes are sorted by size then by colors which I love because I am rarely ever looking for a brown or yellow piece of clothing. I walked out of there with two pairs of pants, a sweater jacket, long sleeve tshirt and two books for $20, not a bad deal at all! I joined Club Blue which is their savings card of sorts and I guess you get some kind of reward when you spend a specific amount of money, there was no literature so I'm really not sure what it's about. Great place to stop by for discount Halloween goods this time of year as well! read more

This store sucks. I was trying to get back something accidentally donated said they would call us but didn't. I try to look and ask somebody to go look and said we can't do that. I HATE THEM SO MUCH NOW! Horrible customer service I would give them zero stars if I could. Do yourself a favor and don't go there please. Later! read more

I dropped some stuff off this morning. The folks that work at this location we're very nice and thankful.

I drove up to donate some good items for a good cause. The employee yelled at me before I even got all the way out of my car. Not quite sure - I didn't stop far enough up or back... I didn't have my clothes separated enough from my house goods...(?). No reason to be sooo hateful. Think I'll drive a couple extra miles to go to ARC or Salvation Army next time. read more

I visited this goodwill this evening for the first time and was very disappointed in the appearance and lack of merchandise. Shelves were empty, disorganized, and low low end items. I would think being located in Highlands Ranch the store would be full of decent items. read more

The only good thing about this place is they have a drive up donation area.......they are very picky about what they accept. But they are not picky about the people that work for them .....a grouchy old man approched me a kept repeating himself that they could not accept all of our donations....he was so rude. This is more like BAD WILL. Not GOOD WILL. I guess Rich People only want the best. This place is horrible. read more

This is my neighborhood Goodwill and my main place to drop off all those things that are still useful, but that I no longer want. The drop-off location is very easy and fast. You simply pull around the back of the building and there will typically be someone to help you get your donations out of your car and into the correct bin. They also will ask if you want a receipt. I've only browsed inside the shop a few times (I just don't have the patience needed for thrift-shop shopping), but it's always been clean and laid out well. And, they sometimes have killer deals. I know of a couple of other drop-off only locations in Highlands Ranch, but I think this is the only retail store in the nearby area. And, I'm pretty sure as a group us "Ranchers" get rid of a lot of stuff, so I'd think there would be a good selection of quality items here. read more

LOVE this Goodwill. Take a lot of stuff in, but buy even more. Counted up not too long ago and fully a third of my closet is secondhand, a lot of which came from this store. Have a lot of quality/name brand items. Staff is friendly and helpful with loading if needed. Do a good job with displaying items to give people ideas about good combos. Club Blue program is great. Like that it is open till 9 PM. Dropoffs are quick and easy. Frequent many local thrift and consignment shops, but for the combination of price, variety and convenience, this one can't be beat. read more

Stopped by this Goodwill yesterday. I found the store clean and well organized. A couple of the staff were a little curt with us as we shopped. The first time was when we asked about an unmarked item, and we were told that the "Production Staff" had gone home for the day. We asked a question after a price was given and againwere told bluntly that the "Production Staff" was not in. I guess we were supposed to know that the Production Staff had the price guns, and that unmarked items couldn't be marked without them. We found several other items not labelled, but were afraid to ask for any further assistance. The second incident involved a mug that I dropped and broke. I was scolded for picking up the broken pieces. We also found items that seemed overpriced like a used Mr Coffee for $14 versus a new in the box Dirt Devil for only $10. We love Goodwill and will continue to shop at thier stores, but maybe not this one. read more

I didn't have any luck looking for cheap toys today. The toy section was very poorly organized, jumbled, and items seemed carelessly tossed on shelves. I did enjoy the book section. Though I didn't spend much time looking, the clothes areas seemed nicely arranged. The store was clean, employees alright. When I walked in I immediately was overpowered by the scent of fabric softener or detergent or something of the sort. It smelled clean, but too strong. read more

Great place to hunt for something you need..BUT - the prices are way too much, especially the PURPLE tagged items. How can a USED/second hand item cost so much..sometimes more than what you can pay for a new item. The person, or persons pricng these items needs their heads checked.
