It was a rainy day here in Oconomowoc, and we were looking for something to do. We noticed this Goodwill Store and decided to check it out. We like supporting Goodwill, as purchases and donations there fund job training for persons with disabilities and disadvantages. We're also trying, though not always successfully, to be more minimalist and to buy more used for environmental reasons. The store is large, organized, well-lit, and most of the prices are quite good. There are many fitting rooms, and clean restrooms. My husband and I each had some "finds" in this store. For my husband, his best purchase was a Kelty self-inflating sleeping pad. We're doing some camping, and his current pad had developed a leak in the valve casing which he hasn't been able to fix yet. The pad at Goodwill was marked $12.99 but, because it was a "yellow tag", it was marked down 50% to $6.50. He also picked up two name-brand (LL Bean; Nike) hoodies ($9.99 each) and exercise pants ($6.99). All are in great condition. As for me, my best finds were in the hiking shoes category. I found two pairs of name-brand (Keen, Clarks) shoes in great condition, and at great prices ($14.99 and $6.99, respectively). I also picked up a hiking shirt ($2.99, yellow tag) and some office supplies. Check-out was a breeze, with a very friendly cashier. He told us about special promotions. (May, 2023). If you join their points program, you earn 1 point for every dollar spent. 100 points gets you a $5 off coupon. There are mark-down days for Veterans on Tuesdays and Seniors 60+ on Wednesdays. There are also discounts on one's birthday. We also noted many staff on the floor -- putting out new items and arranging shelves. Great job, Goodwill! read more

This was the worst Goodwill I've ever been to. They have a special Senior day at the Waukesha Goodwill - but not at this one! Plus, I dropped off some really nice things and I got a gruff guy that came out of the door and grabbed my bag and didn't even get a thank you- forget the receipt question! I've been going to this goodwill for a long time, today was great in particular. I found a brand new Squishmallo that caught my eye with the día De Los Muertos calaca (likely spelt wrong lol) cat, our guy at the counter named Alen was really friendly, he was wondering if the squishy was a DDLM thing and asked politely if he could read the little tag she came with. Alen was also really patient with my aunt who needed to confirm her curlers worked. Overall really good trip! read more

I've been here several times and have witnessed rude staff and management. the straw on the camel's back for me though was witnessing how management treats their very own employees! It's one thing to argue with customers at the counter in an unprofessional manner but quite another to alienate a team member due to your personal feelings. Hard to find a good deal here. Very overpriced for donated items. I recently returned something that was broken and not working as nd the same day it was back on the shelf priced even higher than I paid for it. Stuffed animals are posted at 50 cents each but at the register I was charged different prices based on the size of the items. Buyers beware... read more

The store is always neat and tidy and very well organized. I almost always find what I'm looking for, and much more! I get discounts with my Goodwill card. They are always having sales. And regular prices are great too! I would recommend Goodwill for anything you might need! read more

I love this store and shop there all the time. It is clean and well organized, the people that work there are friendly and nice. I always find great deals on decorative items, silk flowers, vases, wall art, clothing for my family, handbags, sheets, towels, organizing bins, really just about anything you can buy at a regular store. Many of the items are new, or else they are very lightly used. The 15 of the month is customer appreciation day, Tues is military day and Wed is senior day where discounts are offered, usually at least 15% often more. I have been in Goodwill stores that have been messy and I have felt dirty touching the items in the store, this store is not like that at all. I have had nothing but great service until today! The manager not only was rude but completely embarrassed me. I went in today to purchase new pants for work. I went in tried on a bunch of pants and decided to purchase 12 pairs of pants - I recently lost a lot of weight and my pants were getting too big. When I got home I realized one of my bags went missing. I called the store to see if I left them there.. I talked to the manager and she said she had to do further investigating. I was fine with this. I decided to look through my car one last time to make sure I didn't miss it. I had to run other errands and thought I would stop in to check if they found my bag. Thinking it was a shot in the dark I figured it was worth a shot. I went to the cashier and explained what happened and asked if they found a bag - the manager saw me talking and came up and said they didn't find it. I shrugged said thank you and started to walk away. She then decided to then tell me rudely that she checked the video camera footage and saw that the bag was put into my cart and that she couldn't do anything and her voice was rising. I didn't argue and felt she was accusing me of something. I obviously didn't steal - I had my receipt of $90.00+. She could have easily said - We didn't find anything but if something turns up we can call you. I have been a retail manager for 15 years and quickly approaching 16 and I can guarantee my boss would never accept this behavior from me or any other employee that works with me.
