Probably the most condescending and rude proprietor I've ever encountered. Reminiscent of a scene from Pretty Woman.

Amazing vintage finds with story marked on tags. It's worth the climb to the third story!

We had so much fun and of course had a difficult time choosing what amazing pieces to choose! I chose a 1920's filigree bracelet with blue sapphires and my sister chose a camphor glass and diamond necklace. The presentation of all the jewelry and the one on one help from both Lori and Patti were so appreciated. Thank you for making our sister day one to remember! Will see you in May! (I may have a couple of other pieces in mind) Katie

Each time I visit Cedarburg, I always stop into Nouveau Antique Jewelry…read more I love walking into this elegant vintage jewelry store. The classic historical feel envelopes you. The creaking wooden floors, tin ceiling, gorgeous glass cases and lovely wares feel so stately. The ladies that work there are so gracious and polite. I love when they tell me stories behind some of the pieces they have. The back stories take me back to the people that owned them. Oh the memories... There is always a little doggie in the shop, which I LOVE. On my last visit, there was an extra dog there as well. The woman was babysitting her Mom's dog. It was napping on the floor so I suggested a little bed or blanket because she didn't look too comfortable. I love a vintage store but a vintage jewelry store really sends me. I could spend all day there!

If you are looking to consign goods, AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. First off, the "contract" they have you sign is vague and has numerous contradictions within it. I thought that I was dealing with a friendly, neighborhood consignment shop, but in reality I was dealing with a predatory, dishonest woman (Vicky) who basically in the end stole the items. When I brought the items to the shop, Vicki indicated that the china in particular would do better online. Adding it up, it was worth well over $1500 alone. She never listed it online. I also consigned several valuable antique pieces of furniture. The commission you are supposed to receive (according to Vicki, not the contract) is 50%. But the contract also specifies that commission may decrease after time and that after 150 days they can simply dispose of your items. In other words they have a disincentive to sell your items. They are better off keeping them longer and even better if you go past 150 days - because then they just keep the items. Here's what actually happens. They make no attempt to sell your items other than letting them sit on the floor of the shop. You get paid next to nothing and then they "donate" your items. When I asked who she donated them to, she was unable to answer. My guess, to herself or to sell them somewhere else. They are also rude as hell. A simple inquiry into the status of my items twice turned into insults and screaming along with being hung up on. SELLER BEWARE. YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF.

Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. There are still kind people in the world who will help and not judge you. Family Sharing Food Pantry is a wonderful non-profit organization that helps people, like me, when they need it. I was able to call and ask for the help I needed. When I arrived I felt welcomed by friendly volunteers who chatted with me and my service dog. They were kind and pleasant. I was nervous and very ashamed. Nobody made me feel like a charity case or like I was less human. It was just like going to a grocery store. I walked through with a volunteer and got to make lots of choices about the foods available on the day I arrived. I was given so much food that I sat in my car and cried for 20 minutes before I could drive away. I sang songs of praise and gratitude at home because I didn't have to worry about food for an entire month. The Panty sets out to give each client 2 weeks worth of groceries. However, I received so much that it lasted me an entire month. Every meal I made was something that I thoroughly enjoyed. I even received toiletries and dog food for my service dog. I know there are people out there who need help and shy away from asking for it. I know there are people who are ashamed of going to food pantries. I would not brag that I needed help but I would brag that there were kind, considerate, compassionate people at Family Sharing who helped me without making me feel any less human. I am happy to share this review with those who find it. I hope you will share it with someone who needs it. I used to be a teacher. I used to be a soldier. I used to be a social worker. I worked for the City of Milwaukee. I've worked for the City of Chicago. I've volunteered for the Red Cross and I've helped many people all over the world. I've driven food boxes all over the State when I could. I never thought I'd need help myself. I've seen the effects of hunger on children and the elderly. Don't stand by and let someone you know struggle with hunger. Please take them to the kind of people I found at Family Sharing. If they won't go, find a distribution site that gives out boxes and pick up a box to take to them. You could save someone's life and you might not ever know you did so! Family Sharing also has a resale shop on the property. If you want to support their mission. Shop in the resale shop. Volunteer in the Pantry. You never know, one day, the tide may turn! I certainly never thought it would turn for me. I'm so happy that my karma led me to the wonderful people at Family Sharing. Thank you so very much to the people at Family Sharing. Your kindness is so appreciated. I am humbled by your devotion and dedication. I am grateful that you are here and I am so appreciative of what you do. THANK YOU!
