I used to love shopping at this location, but lately I have been going over to deptford or making my way to parkside, it's because of management one in specific her nasty attitude. I wanted to do a return and she didn't want to do it. It was a shirt I bought the day before.. it seems as though I bothered her because she was on her phone.. it seems as though anytime a customer has a question. Complete concern or even needs help. She has an attitude. The store has really went down.. if you wanna know the reason she is driving your customers out.. get her out.. why are we eating the register? Isn't she a manager? Why are we standing out front? Having a conversation cussing laughing, but can't greet a customer., where are the lines at the back of the store and she's just standing there on her phone? How can that be a manager? These are questions our our community wants to know when the Store first opened the staff was wonderful. It starts with management and we see what kind of management she gives terrible bring a new staff. read more

This Goodwill is huuuge! Even on a busy Sunday, staff here are pleasant to interact with. (Considering that customers are rushing for deals & some leave behind hangers &/ or a mess). I had a lovely convo with Ms. LS & Danielle. Sunday is when their 1 out of 2 tagged color sale change and when it's $1. There is no upper price limit for when items become $1. There are a total of 5 colors: red, yellow, green, blue, & purple. There are occasional holiday colors ie orange for Halloween. (Sunday warning: expect lines to be long... possibly 10min wait & lots of regulars/ customers on this day. I highly encourage taking clothes off their hangers while you're in line to speed things up. Also expect a long line 15 mins before Goodwill opens on Sundays.) Otherwise, 2 colors are 50% rest of the week and ends on Saturday. Sunday is a new 2-tag color sale cycle. Ie: last week was green and blue This Sunday is: red and blue, where green is changed to red. Blue is consistent for 2 weeks. They also have an IG you can follow if you want to know the colors of the week the week of before going to the store. IG: @goodwillnj (The name... I know, even though it's in PA haha, but it's part of the NJ section.) Items are organized by category, and I'm not sure if by size later, but not by color. Prices seem to be generally standardized within category with some deviations from the normal... please see pics. I believe. Will update next time with more accurate observation. It is located in the huuuge Whitman Plaza reachable by the buses 47/57 & there's a free huge parking lot. So if you're hungry from shopping, there's an AYCE KPot Hotpot & Korean BBQ restaurant franchise nearby. Would most definitely visit again :) Prob the best Goodwill experience I had in Philly so far! read more

Who Hasn't visited this Goodwill on Oregan avenue? If you haven't then you are truly missing out on great deals and awesome staff. I love this goodwill been coming here for years and I always can find what I'm looking for. I don't live in the area but at least 2-3 times a week I travel with my friends or family to this store. I enjoy the staff as well the their merchandise and they have a large variety of all kinds of items that are reasonably priced. read more

This Goodwill is okay, but you can't really find much if you're looking for stylish clothes. There's not much variety. Something I don't like about this Goodwill is that they used to do $1 Sundays and they don't do that anymore... Now they have 2 colors of the week, one is $3 and the other is $2. Considering these things are donated for FREE, they should at least go back to $1 Sundays. Today I went and the 2 colors were blue and red, red was $3 and blue $2. I was in the store for 3 hours and I only found about 3 items (if not less) with a BLUE TAG... I digged through the whole store looking for blue and all I could find was red. This was not okay. Apart from that, I would consider this store kinda pricey because these are used things and they want people to pay the price of a new piece for a used one. When you can find a brand new piece at the Burglington or Ross right next to it. I might never go back, it's not worth it for me anymore. Would recommend but if you can find something better, go with the better. read more

Yes goodwill is always good. Just go there and quit complaining. Like when you go thrift store shopping you must understand that you're basically weeding through trash that is just a step above Oscar the Grouch dirty. You must also praise the thrift store gods and be kind to the thrift store workers. These are just the basics if you don't like it you can always head to the outlets or simply wear your parents clothes like a normal person. read more

This is a nice Goodwill, and I assume is newish in this area. I used to go to the one over near Front Street before it permanently closed. This one is clean and the selection was good, organized by size. My only complaint is the aisles are very narrow and it made it difficult at times to navigate them with a shopping cart. read more

Tried calling to find out what time they're accepting donations on Christmas Eve... but was put on hold indefinitely. Any experience I've ever had with places on Oregon Ave have been bad communication, some people just don't like answering phones, but they'll be on their personal phones constantly... read more

Update: successfully dropped off another donation (mugs, cutlery tray, 2 books, a frisbee, eyeglass case, gravy boat, 2 different serving trays, some clothing, & a printer). The 2 associates were helpful carrying the printer in, & answering questions regarding future donations. Got shoes without shoe boxes? No problem. Just bring them all in a bag or box. Browsed inside. As I don't purchase used clothes anymore, the racks of knick-knacks, CDs, DVDs, books, & housewares is what I concentrate on. If you want candleholders, Virgin Mary & cherub figurines (this is South Philly), you might luck out. There is some organization - crystals, silver, etc. No order to the CDs, DVDs & books. Honestly, if you don't mind hunting through a jumble of objects it is intriguing to see what ends up here. Came across 2 art sets. One was missing some of the items & the paints looked used. Be sure to check the condition of things & see if there are any missing pieces. Jewelry not sold here. So donate your jewelry elsewhere. Saw many items marked $3.99 & $4.99. The associates working inside were helpful in answering my questions as to where certain things were located or were in stock. I will continue to drop-off donations here as it is always a smooth transaction. read more

Cleanest and best organized Goodwill ever! My partner and I thrift a lot so we always stop in neighborhood Goodwills. This one was so clean and well managed. Not to mention they had a lot of decent items we ended up purchasing. Kudos to the manager here! read more

I like this goodwill I always find things that I enjoy but every time I go in there the specially the older female employees are RUDE and have an attitude. Also I was accused of shoplifting after literally paying for all of my items. Idk how I would have shoplifted anything considering my purse was very small. read more
