This Goodwill is huuuge! Even on a busy Sunday, staff here are pleasant to interact with. (Considering that customers are rushing for deals & some leave behind hangers &/ or a mess). I had a lovely convo with Ms. LS & Danielle. Sunday is when their 1 out of 2 tagged color sale change and when it's $1. There is no upper price limit for when items become $1. There are a total of 5 colors: red, yellow, green, blue, & purple. There are occasional holiday colors ie orange for Halloween. (Sunday warning: expect lines to be long... possibly 10min wait & lots of regulars/ customers on this day. I highly encourage taking clothes off their hangers while you're in line to speed things up. Also expect a long line 15 mins before Goodwill opens on Sundays.) Otherwise, 2 colors are 50% rest of the week and ends on Saturday. Sunday is a new 2-tag color sale cycle. Ie: last week was green and blue This Sunday is: red and blue, where green is changed to red. Blue is consistent for 2 weeks. They also have an IG you can follow if you want to know the colors of the week the week of before going to the store. IG: @goodwillnj (The name... I know, even though it's in PA haha, but it's part of the NJ section.) Items are organized by category, and I'm not sure if by size later, but not by color. Prices seem to be generally standardized within category with some deviations from the normal... please see pics. I believe. Will update next time with more accurate observation. It is located in the huuuge Whitman Plaza reachable by the buses 47/57 & there's a free huge parking lot. So if you're hungry from shopping, there's an AYCE KPot Hotpot & Korean BBQ restaurant franchise nearby. Would most definitely visit again :) Prob the best Goodwill experience I had in Philly so far!

I was only coming in to look to see if there were any tools for sale. Within five minutes of being told, the store is closing in 20 minutes, the same woman came up to me, and I had nothing in my hands, and says to me you need to go get in line now... I paused, pointed at my chest and said "are you talking to me?" She said no I'm just talking to everybody. You need to go get in line so you could check out. The rest of the people in the store were herded toward the cash register. My total time inside of the store? Less than nine minutes, and pushed out the door, and I'm writing this review at 5:37 PM. Just thought that upper management should know what it looks like going into the store.

When I arrived, no one really greeted me or asked me for assistance, so I just took note of that and moved on. What I actually really liked what the men's selection here. I thrift quite a bit and it's honestly rare to find a decent breadth of Men's thrifted clothing. This store had probably the most vast men's section I've seen at a thrift. It took up one side of the store. What I've found is every thrift store has somewhat of an identity. This one is hard to pinpoint, but I have to say, it is not the hipster domain that some secondhand stores have become. This store felt more like a place people just looking for some deals turn up to. It was actually really refreshing. That in mind, I found the selection of vintage pieces here to be slightly above average. I even found a very rare band tee (that I plan on flipping). I was shocked at how great this place was for the unique vintage I love, but I think that largely has to do with it being more of a place frequented by community and not a hotbed for those millenials and Gen Z-ers just now on the thrift wave.

Not wanting to spend a lot of money, I had a hunch I'd find something suitable in Goodwill. And by gum, I did! Not only that, it was designated half price on red-tag-Sunday. $2.50! This store is pretty big. There are plenty of shelves with knickknacks and household items. Nothing piqued my interest, but hey -- I found what I came in for. While dressing rooms in a lot of Goodwills closed never to reopen, you can try things on here. And you can bring in seven items. The store also houses a career center. I noticed that thrift stores in Florida, my part-time residence, have an impressive selection of furniture. Not so here, but this store has more clothing and dry goods than other places.

I was hoping to find wooden goods or other brassware. Tons of clothes, like 90% of the store. I don't thrift clothes either so not helpful to me. ImagiNext playsets (with no accessories) were $3ea, which is very reasonable, but naked Barbies were also $3ea, and I recently saw them grouped 5-6 in a bag for $7 at another Goodwill. The picked-over recent-vintage (past 10 years) home goods were cheaply made and not my style. There were a number of utilitarian items and new personal care sundries, useful to those who need them. Didn't buy anything this trip. Hit or miss.
