I visited this Goodwill when I was out and about and remembered that I had a few things that were ready to be donated to be loved by someone else. This Goodwill is located in a big plaza that also houses two restaurants that I love but I never really noticed it was there. There are so many parking spaces available, you don't have to stress about finding a spot. I drove over the bell line and within a minute or two, someone came out to greet me. I had a few baby items including a foot rocker and I got it loaded up onto the cart and was given a receipt. All done! I was hosting a personal dinner party a few days later so I figured that I'd take a quick five minutes to pop in and see if I could find some cool dishes to add to my table. The store itself is huge! Everything was neatly hung and in its proper place and the store was incredibly clean. I love going into thrift stores that feel like regular boutiques, just because the items are second-hand, doesn't mean that the surroundings shouldn't be welcoming and bright. I visited on a weekend and the store was full of shoppers browsing each aisle. There was so much! Because I didn't plan on making this stop, I didn't indulge. I used to love thrifting a little too much so I can't be trusted, lol. Luckily, I remembered why I was there and found my section. I only found one plate but it was a good find imo. I came here earlier this evening looking for a Hawaiian shirt that I will probably wear only once, but the shirt is for a Tropical themed event I'm going to attend next week. This Goodwill location accepts donations of items they can sell in the store. The parking situation is very easy: the large, free parking lot is shared with all of the neighboring businesses in the shopping center, and everyone can easily find a parking space. The store is spacious and clean. While I was there, I couldn't get over how neat and organized everything was in the store. There were lots of customers browsing in every department, and I'm sure there is lots of inventory turnover. I saw employees rearranging clothing in multiple racks, making their areas look tidy. Easy to see and read signage hangs from the ceiling, and customers can get a quick lay of the land at a glance due to all of the racks of clothes not being tall. Plus the racks took up most of the middle of floor space. Departments in this store include jewelry, furniture, clothing for everyone, shoes, sporting goods, housewares and toys, among others. I looked in the men's shirts section and found a button up short sleeve shirt that perfectly fits, not only me, but also the even theme I'll be attending. I don't mind paying less than $7 for a shirt I'll be wearing once. Check this place out. You may be surprised at the nice condition most of the clothing items are in, all at great prices. read more

I have dropped off more things than I care to brag about and also looked inside to find odds and ends for DIY projects. This is a great store working for a great cause and encourage all yelpers to donate and give back during this time of year to the Goodwill. It reduces waste and makes productive use of time/resources. I came here today to drop off an office chair, toys, and some books. This survey covers the Goodwill location at 2449 Cobb Pkwy SE, Smyrna, GA 30080. Ms. Rose is rude. Her tone, eye rolling, aggressive body language and condescending way of speaking to people truly highlights indifference to the customers in the store. This is very upsetting. I was so disappointed with my encounter, I almost walked out without buying the selected items but opted to write this review instead. Ms. Shatara was polite and apologized for Ms. Rose's attitude, but there is no sense in needing someone else to apologize for another adult, especially one in their senior years. Her (Ms. Rose) attitude is unacceptable. If you don't like your job or people, DO NOT work in customer service and consider finding a new employer. Also, signage should be posted if there are certain credit card entities not accepted. It's truly a waste of time for someone to come shop but not see that posted on the door like you easily see on the doors at other stores in the Metro Atlanta area. read more

Extremely rude staff. I showed up to make a donation and before greeting me the staff sprints out and says "put that back in your car we aren't taking that" to my chair. It clearly says online they accept them. As I'm putting it back in the car another lady runs out from inside and says "we don't want that". If you don't want it, that's fine but they were extremely rude. Acted like I was just going to throw the chair there and speed off. read more

I found this Goodwill when I came to eat at the Olive Garden a few weeks ago. Its a very clean and well organized store. I found about 5 J Crew skirts with the tag still on them and several other name brand stuff as well. When I go to a thrift store I usually look for older vintage stuff stuff from the 1960's or 1970's. I also look for stuff with the label "ILGWU" sewn on them. It stands for International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union (ILGWU). These labels were sewn onto garments starting in 1900 and depending on the style and letters on the label you can actually date the garment. For example if the ILGWU label is red, white and blue then its was made between 1974-1995. Also if there is an "R" on the left of the scalloped label then it was made before 1964. Its pretty cool actually. One of the things I like to buy at thrift stores are long equestrian wool skirts that were popular in the 1970's and early 1980'. I'm sure you can still buy them somewhere but they're not always available, I have about 6 of them I've found throughout Atlanta. Every time I go into this store there is a group of four or five guys that swarm the carts of new items coming out and grab everything they think is valuable before the employees can put it out on the shelves. Management seems to have no problem with this. Perhaps Management is getting kickbacks from these vultures? I won't go back until this intimidating behavior is stopped. read more

I've been to this Goodwill a handful of times, usually shopping for ties, and to browse their book section. Yesterday, after swinging and missing at the Sandy Springs location, I stopped by this Goodwill on my way to the spot. Scored 3 nice looking ties for $9...can't beat that with a stick! I'm not remarkably frugal, so I don't come by here OFTEN. That being said, when I DO stop in, the staff is friendly, everything's organized, and I'm usually in and out without much fuss. Definitely worth spending a few minutes and a few dollars, to support a good cause. read more

Coming from an avid thrifter ...... Goodwill is always clean and full of a variety BUT compared to other thrift stores they are expensive. I love hunting for the hidden gems that I frequently find. I stopped in this store two months ago. I rarely drive up Cobb Parkway so I was surprised to see a Goodwill here! I walked in and one of the employees informed me they had only been open a couple of weeks. The store was very clean and organized. All of the employees spoke and were friendly. I do not shop at Goodwill as often as I have in years past but this is a good location if you in the area and want to browse or buy! read more

This is an awesome Goodwill!!!!! Lots of clothing and lots of really well kept clothing. I went here just to check it out and left with over 100 items for my kiddos. They have many items with tags still on them as well as items that look brand new. Over all this is a great goodwill. read more

If you are looking for clothing this place has a huge selection. For furniture it left a lot to be desired.

Customer service is great; I was essentially greeted by every worker everywhere I went around the store. This location is a tad smaller than other locations I've been to. They have the donation drop-off up front which is convenient instead of going around the corner at other places. read more
