Visiting from out of state and just had to make a pitstop at goodwill ! One major downside (that I'm assuming is state by state) is the prices of everything. Why is each article/item prices individually ? Should all be set prices, in my opinion. Layout what good. Lots to choose from, I would go back. Today I stopped by for the first time in months .... $18.99 for a No Bounderies (!!!) Walmart vest that did cost $18.98 at Walmart, you got to be kidding me. Goodwill still has their brick and mortar stores open to get your valuable donations and to sell junk in store for high prices. This Goodwill was the first one I hit up on a snowy weekend on my thrifting trip to King of Prussia and it did not disappoint. It was rather large and organized well. The distance between the isles was generous and enough for a cart and another shopper. I didn't spend too much time in the clothing, but it appeared to be sorted well and of decent quality. They use standard Goodwill pricing, which was about the same as other locations. As a reseller housewares is my bread and butter and they had a nice selection of goods, although piled high and unorganized. Goodwill housewares are arranged by color rather than item and some isles you had to dig or shift thru a number of items on the shelves to see what was underneath. With glassware mixed in this can be a delicate process but one I'm used to. Linens were skimpy in selection, but the pillows looked brand new. Shoes also had an above average selection, but purses were priced higher. Employees were ample and on the floor adding new stock and straightening the racks. I'd definately stop here again next time I'm in the area. read more

Last week I expressed a concern to an employee and also provided a suggestion along with that concern. She seemed receptive. A week later I came back to the store and the issue I had brought to her attention was actually worse. I asked her if my suggestion had gone anywhere or if this was just something that they were not going to consider changing. She seemed rather annoyed and asked me if I would like to speak to a manager but did not answer my question. I told her I had already mentioned it to a manager a few months earlier and declined to escalate again. On another occasion I brought an item I wanted to purchase that had no price tag on it to an employee. I was aware of the policy that I would not be able to purchase it and I gave her the item in hopes that I would find it later in the week with a price. I came back later that week to find it back on the shelf, still with no price. The employee that I gave it to the second time immediately placed the blame on "the customers". It feels like there is little effort to improve or address issues when opportunities present themselves. read more

This is the 4th or 5th time I've come in and had the same exact man take photos of me on his flip phone. I finally took one of him and caught him and he decided to sit by the register for the remaining time I was in the store after I had my husband come in to walk around with me. While I was checking out, and giving my phone number to the cashier, this man conveniently pulls out his phone and starts dialing a phone number as I could hear the beeps on his flip phone. I took a photo of him before I checked out, I don't even think this man is an employee but every time I come into this goodwill he's there waiting and ready with his camera out. read more

This is by far the biggest, cleanest, best lit goodwill I have been to. I uploaded a couple pictures and realized that they look pretty much like official pics uploaded by goodwill headquarters. The shelves and racks are extremely well organized, nothing is out of place. Clothes are sorted by size and color. Racks are not so packed with clothes that it is difficult to browse. The reason for four stars is their children's clothes are $2.50 a piece instead of $1.50 in Delaware Goodwills. I know 2.50 is a pretty good deal for name brand clothes, and selection is great, but I wish the price matched the prices at other stores. read more

Very disappointed in this store, and in my opinion, the employee should be fired. There there was an autistic man shopping in the store, and when he got to check out, asked to buy a necklace. He was asking some random questions and the employee at the register was extremely rude to him. She kept saying, sir, I have other customers. Sir, I cannot help you and kept turning her back to him. The rudest young lady I've ever seen. After making his purchase, he asked if she could take the necklace out of the bag for him, and again, she refused, saying she was busy with other customers. At that point, I offered to do it for him and walked over. Shame on that young lady and someone needs to train her. Goodwill prides themselves in hiring everyone, including those with disabilities. In my opinion, it was an embarrassment to the organization. Everyone should be treated with kindness. How she treated him was awful and she also was making a big deal of it out loud by turning her back and huffing and puffing, saying, no, I can't help you, sir. please do better at training your employees in customer service. Everyone is a customer. No one should ever be treated like that. read more

This store seriously needs to rethink their pricing strategies. They sell Dollar Tree items for $2.97. That is THREE TIMES the price they can be purchased brand new, at the store in the same plaza. I also saw the FREE socks hospitals provide patients being sold for $2.97. It would be funny if it wasn't so ridiculous. This is a THRIFT store. Some families NEED to shop here. You are making it far too expensive for families to purchase needed items. Shirts are now selling for $4.75. I just purchased a brand new shirt at Kohl's on clearance for $1.12. My strong recommendation to the local community is to stop supporting this store (with purchases and donations) until they align their business practices to actually support those who need goods at extremely discounted prices. Shame, shame, shame on Goodwill. Do better. read more

Great new Goodwill, large store with large clothes selection. At least 75% of the store is clothes with a smattering of houswares and other goods - no furniture. Very organized and the prices .. . well, it's a Goodwill. Drop-off is around back. No dumping. read more

I usually have a great experience when I shop at the store, but today I was treated extremely rudely!!! I picked up a lamp that was sitting in the housewares section for a great price! I was so excited to have found an beautiful lamp at such a great price. I continued to shop around the store and an employee named GINGER - STORE MAMAGER came running up to me grabbed the lamp out of my hand and rudely said " you took this lamp out of the box!!" "This lamp is not for sale for the price that is listed on the lamp"; " this lamp is priced way higher that this" . At this point I'm very perplexed that she actually took the lamp away from me and then began walking to the back of the store behind the "employee only" Doors. She then came out with the lamp in a sealed box with a price tag of double the price listed on the lamp originally! I told her that it was very unprofessional the way she handled this situatuion ans every other establishment I've ever patronized. If a price on posted on an item for that price, thats what the customer buys it for. I everyone in the store was looking at us on shock in awe because of the way she literally ran up to me and grab the lamp out of my hand. All of the customers and her fellow employees were shaking their heads at her behavior. Isn't the store managers job to ensure customer satisfaction? Well that day she sure was not doing hers and in my book if an employee is not doing their job maybe they don't need it! read more

the employees were very rude to me when i dropped off clothes. told me to pull around back and didn't give me any instructions after that. I put all my stuff where it looked to be an area where people dropped off stuff and when I came inside they told me that's not where the stuff went and were very rude and were talking about me when i was right in front of them, they laughed and treated me terribly. a different time, i accidentally dropped off a shopping bag with clothes with tags and receipts still attached from christmas. I immediately came back, not even 5 minutes later to get the clothes and I explained the situation and they told me they couldn't find my stuff? this place is terrible! The store hours are until 5pm on Sundays. My wife and I arrived at 4:45pm for a quick purchase. The manager was at the door and refused to let us in. TERRIBLE customer relations. We'll be taking our donations and our business somewhere else from now on. read more

This is definitely not the best goodwill I have ever been to. The clothing selection is...ok, I guess. Not a lot of good brand names to be found among the labels (J.crew, Ann Taylor, etc). Mostly stuff from target and Walmart. Also, terrible home wares selection. read more

Today was my first visit to the newly expanded Thorndale, PA, Goodwill. What a fabulous redo ... boat loads of very nice clothing all well organized by color. A nice area for larger clothes and a nice array of shoes, purses, etc. They do not have the space to display furniture, but I think there will be smaller pieces to consider In the future. Very good visit. Look forward to making it a regular stopping point!! read more

It's a huge store with a ton of clothes but for the most part the clothes are all from Walmart and all the cheap places. I've also gotten a few things that after the 1st wear the seams started ripping. I also find a lot of stuff with missing buttons or broken zippers. They really need to check the clothes a lot better before they put it out. If you're looking for toys or house stuff I would suggest going somewhere else because the selection is horrible. Make sure you have a couple hours to really go through the clothes because I do always find something it just takes some searching. Also try everything on and do a good look over for any holes or stains. Im still giving it 3 for friendly employees and good prices. If you take your time you will find something good. read more
