The people who work there were very friendly and appreciative of our donations. We were given a gentle reminder that they do not usually accept bedding/pillows, but, our stuff was in great condition, thus it was happily accepted. Great place to donate for a good cause!

I do think some of their prices are on the higher end, which is disappointing when you're trying to get some affordable items. Clothing, however, it's usually reduced, so along with the books a good purchase. Not so much their purses, and some of their other accessories. It's worth a visit to search through their treasures and find some good thrifts. This is not my favorite thrift store, but it will be some of the goodwill prices in a pinch.

This store is not even a mile away! Amanda and Jerry are the couple who own this shop. Not too small, not too big, but clean, well-stocked, and orderly. All their stuff are amazing to browse and buy. I could not believe that most of what I needed were available to buy. I got a blowdryer, a dinner bowl, and an extension cord all just for $6. Amanda was such a friendly and helpful store owner. She is in a wheelchair but that does not hinder her from her hospitality and helpfulness. I know we have the large thrift stores and shops we mostly frequent but I call on all especially locals to visit this shop first. You will never regret it. I also shopped while enjoying the amazing amabience - music playing...soothing candlescent...postive and friendly vibe... But we saw several kids in the store. We confronted him about the other kids ; to which he blamed on the customers whom only spoke Spanish. After that comment didn't sit well with us. He then added rudely with a snappy neck comment that we needed gloves . We've literally never been there and he could have came at us a totally different way and explained the "rules" it would been different. After that he blurted out we're closed with two lines with about 4-5 carts and people still looking in bins. I understand it was closing time but again he didn't have to come as us like that. While walking out I went up to the cashier and asked who the manager was he stepped in and didn't let her speak saying he was. Worst experience I've ever had at any good will , second hand store in all my years. Will not give this location a second chance. Do not waste you're time .

Probandt is an old warehouse and the goods are presented in a commensurate fashion, making it kind of a dump to go to. BUT it is very large and they have a lot of items. The Walzam Rd location is smaller, more store-like and a lot cleaner. Selection is similar but my impression is of smaller quantities and more limited selection. They both carry a wide range of construction and household materials, whether reclaimed from remodels or demolitions, or closeouts, seconds and scratch-and-dent. They also have a lot of paints, much of which is "evolve", a brand that keeps excess project or returned paint from being senselessly dumped in landfills. Prices are better than the building materials stores, but you still need to know what a good price is, as some of the smaller household goods can be found for less elsewhere (mainly online). But bargains are to be found if you don't mind spending time browsing. I suggest coming prepared with a complete list of what you might need, so you come away with what you really want at a price that suits you. All of that said, remember that this is a thrift store for Habitat for Humanity, a very good organization that makes affordable housing available for low income people. So anything you buy supports a great cause. I would have rated this 3-stars, but the nature of what their main focus is caused me to make it 4-stars since the dollars you spend here contributes to helping people in need.
