We visited this facility a few after Thanksgiving and they were ready for Christmas. There was an entire rounder of "ugly Christmas sweaters" waiting to be worn to an Ugly Sweater party. The pricing at all thrift stores has gotten way too high for most people. I just found a YouTube video of people showing some ridiculous prices at Goodwill. I'm not sure who does your pricing but maybe they need to understand you get this stuff donated....free... I work at a donation center for a place that gives away to people who are in need and most people say they won't ever take things to Goodwill or Salvation Army anymore. Goodwills pricing has gone crazy. The amount the wanted for some old stretched out Crocs. $7.99 on a Under armour T-shirt. For goodness sake! It's not supposed to be a used store not a boutique. Buying a shirt as such may be the only time a kid will have the chance to have a name brand shirt. They also raised the prices on everything! This crap is donated. We don't want to go in there and see 4 racks limited to retail products that are double you would have to pay anywhere! Then have the nerve to ask you to round up. Their cause changes with the every person. Training , vets, outreach! Then on top of that they do not give you bags to take all your expensive crap home. They just leave it on the counter and just wait for you to pick it up or you have to buy one of their bags! You can get a box sometimes! I enjoy this Goodwill. Overall, this is my favorite Goodwill in the quad cities. I'm not sure why, but I always find the best items here. The store is clean and so are the bathrooms! The staff have always been friendly. read more

We went looking for home goods to set up our college grads first apartment and we scored big. Nice selection and fairly well organized. We found a nice desk chair, floor lamp, glasses, casserole dishes, a couple pots & a teapot, pie plates, several kitchen utensils and some organizational items for drawers. You must wear a mask and I was glad because it was busy but we were able to social distance most of the time too. read more

I tend to always find something here. The prices are starting to creep up due to overwhelming popularity. One time I was here and a fellow patron schooled me in the art of pants selection. He was basically stating that I didn't want anything that wasn't Italian made. It is true, you can get Italian made pants here which are great. It may be rare, but they are there. Also are some great shirts. Again he was stating that I needed to stay away from brands that you can pick up at places like Gap, Target, Kohls and JCP. He was telling me that every now and then some great quality made shirts appear in your size. You just need to come back often to check things out. Seriously though, when I come here I typically allow myself at least an hour to pick through clothes. When you do spot that great shirt, give it a look over. Check the elbows and pits for tears. Make sure all buttons (including the extra buttons) are intact. Check the collar (ring around the collar is nothing to laugh at). Same thing with pants. Check everything. Make sure the crotch isn't about to give. Make sure the hems haven't been previously hemmed or that your tailor will be able to fix. The last thing you want is to spend $5 on a pair of pants that you will just be returning because you didn't check it out! read more

In my opinion, this is the best thrift store in the Quad Cities--and judging by the constant flow of cars with Illinois plates, I think others would agree. First, if you are donating items, this store has a drive thru with workers there to greet and help you unload the items fast. If you end up purchasing a large piece of furniture you can conveniently drive through and have the staff help you load it in your vehicle. This Goodwill gets a ton of items a day and because of that, the selection changes constantly. Also, because it is in Bettendorf, you can find some brand new, or nearly new clothing and furniture that would cost a fortune any where else. I love going here because I always leave with something. I've literally furnished my entire apartment with amazing looking paintings that would have cost me over $50 just for the frame alone! If you are looking for furniture, this is also the Goodwill for you. Expensive dressers and computers desks constantly come and go. Try to get there early! I would give this place five stars, but like another reviewer, I'm also puzzled by the odd organization of the clothes section. It's not very well marked when it comes to sizes and the men's section is absurdly small. I've never seen a Goodwill with such a tiny selection. However, if you are looking for a suit or tie, you can find some steals here. read more

I do stop here when I'm out in Bettendorf, they have a much better selection of goods than in Davenport. It's a busy & popular store. The shoes are a bit too pricey (really! they're donated). Many good things have disappeared, they're now sold online to make more $$ on their website :-( Good selection of household goods. Good clothing selection although nothing is organized by size! Clothing is separated into women's (large area), children's & a small men's section. It's not too terrible to flip through shirts when they aren't grouped by size but forget looking at pants. Books were reasonable at 88 cents unless marked. Houseware section was a hot mess of items mostly thrown together on shelves depending on category. Store was clean overall but the clerk who rang me up was super pushy when trying to sell me their fresh baked cookies. read more

I don't know why i didn't like Goodwill before. Maybe because of their outrageous prices on some of the merchandise being it their all donated. It probably varies on the location, anyways i stopped by here to check-out the selection on their purses. Not bad for some good ones not all torn up, the main price is $3.38 for almost all unless it's one of those chicy hip types then you'll have to see the price tag attached to it. read more

As a traveller who stops randomly at Goodwill across America I struck gold at this location. It has a wide variety and many hidden suprises.
