My husband and I love to come to this location in Clinton. the staff is kind and usually very welcoming. unfortunately, This last time we were there, This creepy older employee was sweeping the floor and had made comments towards our daughter that made me and my husband feel super uncomfortable.She had finished her Halloween candy and he wanted us to throw her sucker on the floor for him to sweep up... just a PSA, watch out for him. walking out I told myself I wouldn't come back. it makes me very upset because we do love coming here but didn't enjoy feeling uncomfortable by their weird employees... read more

I love this store!! All their employees are very nice and always welcoming. Bathrooms are always nice and clean. I've gotten some very good deals on home decor and clothing from this store. Keep up the good work Clinton Goodwill employees. read more

I love good goodwill, however the prices are completely outrageous. The prices are higher than some major cities in the United States. The quality and price completely blew my mind away. If you're going to price clothing at a high price I'd suggest looking over the quality. The cashiers are all very nice and helpful. I use to love coming to this Goodwill till this last trip I left questioning everything. read more

Most of the staff are nice, but there are about 2 particularly rude clerks, who disrespect you, treat you like they don't care if you come back. And they act as if the donations belong to them personally. They bring out the product and don't you dare touch it, and if you do you are made to feel like a thief, Because its there rack how dare you touch their rack! Instead of letting you look through it, they will hide it behind the check out counter!!!!! I have travel to several other goodwills in the area and their response is to help yourself, thats less we have to put out. Of course if you are a regular you want to see the stuff that's being put out first. Wonder how many sales they have missed by doing this? I am not advocating for anyone to lose their jobs, but they could use some customer service training!!!!!!! read more

Grandma Nell's, to me, is more like a boutique (without the clothing), kind of upscale, where Riverfront Antiques is an actual antique store. Riverfront Antiques to me is more of a classic antique store. Everything from larger furniture, to vendor booths with smalls, to an upstairs room with crusty, dusty, and rusty items. It's well organized and while I didn't buy anything here it's a place I could see checking in on once in a while if I was in the area... I imagine inventory changes now and then with each vendor. The one thing I didn't like. The woman at the counter was on the phone from the minute I walked over from Grandma Nell's to the time I walked out the door to exit Riverfront Antiques. And I was in there for quite a while... I didn't try to listen so it very well could have been a business call. It's just a pet peeve I have so it's something I notice. Like if I'm at the counter at Dunkin' and they are taking care of the people in the drive through first while I'm standing there. Like... Hey! I'm right here! Maybe at least acknolwedge a guy? Hopefully it was just a one off while I happened to be there... From an antiquing standpoint... Definitely worth the time to stop if you are in the Clinton IA area!

When you need a dependable local business, don't call Clinton Floral…read more I placed a same-day order with Clinton Floral after an unexpected family death. I received an order confirmation and saw a pending charge on my card, so I assumed everything was fine. A week later, I found out the recipients never received anything. When I called the shop to ask what happened, the call was answered unprofessionally with a curt "Hello?" and silence. Once I confirmed I had the right business and provided order details, I was met with rudeness and a condescending tone. They claimed there was a payment issue--despite the pending charge on my card--and said they tried to contact me. I received no email, no call, nothing. Their failure to follow up meant the grieving family never received the intended support, and the owner's dismissive, unprofessional attitude made it worse. Even if payment issues arise, basic communication and courtesy are non-negotiable. Sadly, Clinton Floral seems to operate as if being the only local option gives them a pass on professionalism. It doesn't. I won't be using them again--and I'd strongly recommend you don't either.
