I found this shop tucked away in a strip mall on the near south side of Crawfordsville and was delighted. From the moment I stepped in, I noticed the pleasant aroma of candles and the comfortable appeal of country chic decorations and gifts. The main room has the check out counter facing the door in the center of the room, so you can explore to either side: Lots of candle varieties including some made in state, lots of items with clever witticisms to make you think or smile, women's bags, wall hangings, and seasonal (Easter) pieces to add some charm to your home. And when you think you've seen it all, there is another room to the left that has even more items including rugs, lap quilts, and other cloth items. More seasonal items were out in preparation for the weekend sale. The woman who was working apologized for the store being in transition, but it was still neat enough that I wouldn't have known there was anything out of place unless she had told me. She let me browse and asked how I had heard about the shop. I was surprised that nobody had reviewed her store yet on Yelp. When I was ready to make a purchase, she immediately stopped what she was doing so that I didn't have to wait. That's a person who gets customer service. I've bought a few things from them in the past, beginning with a blue Sharpstone grinder I got three years ago. The threads have gotten worn down since (and I lost the little scoopie, sad day!) so I ventured back downstairs to peruse their wares. I found a medium-sized silver Sabertooth grinder for $25, which was less than other smoke shops in the area. The employees have always been helpful and chill (a prerequisite to work here, no doubt), and they treat their customers well. A few Aprils ago, on 4/20, they gave away free handpipes for anyone that made a $10 purchase, which I thought was awesome. They have a nice assortment of vapes, waterpipes, and one-hitters, too. Good hookah collection and lots of shisha to choose from, if that's your thing. Even after 'shopping around' for the lowest prices on pipes and whatnot, Amused still had the best deals in West Lafayette. Cool people and quality products at a reasonable price point. They've definitely earned my repeat business.

My mother in law passed away and we had to clean out and vacate her apartment in less than two…read moreweeks. We worked hard to clean out the apartment. I donated everything in the house to the Salvation Army. I called and utilized the Salvation Army to come and get all the items from the house. They came and did an excellent job. We hope the donations help a lot of people.

I think I ended up picking out six that I liked and they have a dressing room there so I tried them on and ended up purchasing two of them. The other thing I really like in here is their costume jewelry selection it is really fun! I will continue to stop in here as long as they are open. The value is good although higher priced than Goodwill but the quality is typically better and there are a whole lot of vintage items. As usual they helped me out with my zippers as I tried on the dresses they are always very accommodating in the shop.

One employee was standing at the front of the store by the checkout area on his phone looking up prices, via Siri. Not an overly professional way to show off your knowledge or lack there of.

The thrift store relies on donations to raise funds for their good work. The store is extremely clean and tidy inside. The glassware sparkles. They carry some clothing, kitchenware, household decor, toys, books and more. Prices are better than big box thrift stores. The staff is super friendly, with some of the workers being volunteers. I picked up some children's books and information about volunteering. The parking lot is small and difficult to maneuver.
