This was a great Goodwill! Located in a more affluent part of town, you could tell by the brands and quality of things donated - I saw brands like Michael Kors, Free People, Anthropologie, Coach and more. I left with a tee, mug and pair of $150 jeans that looked brand new and only spent $15. The prices are pretty fair - I know some people report Goodwill ups the price on upscale brands, but I didn't feel that was happening at this location. Had a day off and time to kill so I decided to check out a new to me good will, I enjoyed this location! It was very well organized! I found 3 shirts and a nautica rain coat so I was a happy camper, only spent $20, which for the items I found made me very happy! Glad to know this is here and I'll be back! read more

Sometimes this Goodwill has some decent clothes and other times you go in and they all look pretty worn. Also in this Goodwill I have never found a real decent selection of shoes. However if you look hard you can always find something! I ended up taking home four shirts on this trip. The prices are consistent with most other Goodwills in the Central Indiana area. Totally sucks that they do not have a dressing room and also they no longer offer discounts like the half off color tag so if that's something you're looking for stay out of Central Indiana Goodwills. read more

Several friends had told me how delightful this GW is, so maybe I had my hopes up too high, but I was very disappointed. Clothes were strewn all over the racks, while staff members stood around leaning on the clothing racks and chatting. When I finally found a couple of items I wanted to try on, I went to stand in line for one of the four dressing rooms. When the staffer opened the door, the room was full of clothing; on the wall pegs, on the bench seat on the floor. I understand "it" happens, but when I asked her, "Do you want to tidy this up?" 5 stars! I've found some really awesome pieces at this location. And the warehouse staff are always so helpful when I am picking up my furniture and dropping off my donations. Wednesday is Senior day, so 55+ get a whopping extra 30% off their purchase! And the first Saturday of the month you get an extra 50% off! Both discount days are a complete madhouse! So be prepared and shop early. I find that it's good to case the joint. You have to pop in frequently. That's how you catch the best deals. You never know what you'll find...just keep your eyes peeled and grab it when you see it. read more

These are generally all about the same but this one is a "better" goodwill store. They have a nice easy drop off for donations where you drive into the area from the back of the mall and then proceed through like a bank teller window. There's no turning around or high traffic or creepy back alleys. It's all open and easy and the crew at the drop off donation window is always friendly. I love to thrift and craft so I also stop in, I did a lot of shopping for decor stuff when we were prepping for our daughter's wedding. They usually have a big selection of frames, glassware and I've even picked up nice barstools here. I painted and recovered them and they are a great, inexpensive add to an area that I didn't want to spend a fortune on decorating. I think that the quality of the donations is reflective of the neighborhood so since the Geist area has a lot of nice homes you see some nice things at this particular goodwill store. read more

Find out they already have the book and try to return it the next day, and you are not allowed to make the return. Geist GW is close enough to my office for me to get my retail therapy on without breaking the bank. On my two visits I've found designer clothing and shoes in beautiful condition, including a next to new pair of Dr. Martens and Sperry topsiders as well as a beautiful IZOD Argyle sweater that I get compliments on. The bad; their inventory is a mess. There are shoes that are on the floor in horrible condition (if the heels are gone or they're broken, throw them away!) and the kids clothes are so disorganized and intermingled with adult sizes that you can hardly make sense of it. I have to remind myself where I am, but they could certainly use some direction from management. The staff is very personable. I've encountered the same young man at the cash register each time and he is together and patient, even when the computer went down and he had to re-ring all of my items. read more

I hadn't gone to this GW in a long time (see prior review) mostly because of one customer who stays in the store from open to close and is catered to by management, has ripped items from my hands, taken items from carts ect. (does this to every customer). However it had been at least a year, I figured maybe things had changed. Nope. Same lady. Same nonsense. This time she actually hit me with cart (no, unfortunately I'm not joking) to get to an item on a shelf I was looking at. I give up on this goodwill for good. read more

i love Goodwill. I have always heard this store had the best finds due to the area that it's located. we went on the first saturday of the month for the 1/2 off sale. In my opinion it wasn't much better than others. the store appeared really big on the outside but wasn't quite as big when we got in. On top of that they had all their racks so close together that it was very difficult to navigate through aisles whether you had a cart or not. The biggest downfall to this store was how they did their line. We were in line for a little over 30 minutes. they did not announce to people to take their items off hangers so i know that slows up the line. with them being such a busy store i can't understand why they haven't tackled that issue a little better. our cashiers were very friendly so that made the wait worth while. i'm not sure if i would choose this store over "my store" that i go to normally. it was def worth it to see what all the talk was about about, but on our visit i didn't see how it was "the best" goodwill. read more

The location in Anderson has friendly helpful staff. Selection is low on everything except children's clothes.

Great store. Out of all the area Goodwills -- and I've been to them all -- this is the newest, nicest, cleanest.

This is a great Goodwill! Lots of selection for women from jeans to shirts to accessories like purses and shoes. I was a bit disappointed in the glassware selection, but I'm sure it changes all the time. I thought the store was easy to get around and very organized with plenty of staff waiting to help you if you needed it. The only downside I thought was the selection for men. But I'm sure that's normal for most stores as I assume women usually donate more. Will definitely be back! read more

My daughter wanted to hit a different Goodwill than the one that is near us, just to see a different selection of items. We ended up buying her two pair of jeans, so her plan worked. However, I will say that I would have loved to have seen the employees be a bit more proactive with helping customers out with the self-locking dressing rooms. As I stood there waiting on my daughter to try clothes on, I watched as two other people get locked out while their stuff was still in the dressing room. If the dressing room doors swing shut on their own and self-lock, maybe just keep an employee dressing room duty, especially on a busy Saturday afternoon. read more

This is one of the nicer Goodwills I've been to! It's clean and pretty well organized. The employees are helpful and kind. The prices are great, and each week they have a different colored tag half off. And on the first Saturday of every month, you can get 50% off everything! I haven't found anything amazing at this one, but I have found a few good deals. read more

I was treated very disrespectfully today as I attempted to make a donation of a "like new" Pack n Play. I was the 7th car in the line to drop off. The 2 men at the door were very busy unloading the cars in front of me. I thought I could be helpful by parking in a parking spot and taking the Pack n Play in myself. As I got to the door I asked the man where he would like me to put my 1 item. He shook his head and rolled his eyes at me saying, "You know we have a system here and if you hadn't cut in line......". I said, "I didn't cut in line. He said, "Well then, where is your car?" I said that I was parked in the lot and thought I was helping by bringing my one item in. He just shook his head at me. I took my donation back to my car. I will be donating to Salvation Army and others who show gratefulness for donations and help. read more

We went there on a Saturday night, big mistake, there were toys all over the floor in the toy section, which is right beside the restroom. I decided to visit the ladies room, but there was no toilet paper, oh but there was some on the floor - in the toy section isle. I have never seen that place so dirty and disorganized. So we just left. No bargains for us tonight. Not sure if we will return. read more
