We have dropped donation items off at this location several times in the past few years and…read moreappreciate how easy it is, as well as the mission of this business. There are several locations, and this one is located in the Hamburg area near Tractor Supply as a landmark. The drop off is on the right hand side of the building and can pull up and employees will collect the donated goods. They have signage directing where to enter the single drop off lane. There are also posted signs listing what can and cannot be donated. Staff are polite and helpful. I have not been inside the building or made a purchase to this point, so I cannot comment on that aspect of this business. I do know that the mission statement has been to sell donated items and then to utilize those funds to assist victims of abuse, which has our support 100%. (Side note: I also choose to donate here rather than at another specific well known charitable drop-off site which has high prices and high administrative costs, resulting in less funds going to the people it claims to serve.)

What wasn't expected was the large warehouse of furniture, garden items, sports equipment, cabinets, bikes a s more. Today's signage noted everything was 50% off. What wasn't expected nice compared to other thrift stores was the amount of space and shelves. Instead of items being on top of each other, it was easy to browse the aisles. Prices were across the board - in some cases, practical and reasonable, but in others the prices were stunningly high. Like do a double take because you think you read it wrong kind of high. We had a good time exploring, but left without taking anything home.

In my opinion, they have Better items than other Thrift stores and much more fairer prices than a Goodwill. Wifey and I both picked up several items ranging from $1.77 - $3.77 and they were brand new or like new. They also have antiques. There were things priced well enough I wished I meeded them, but I didn't. Wifey told me so. She told me to look for games and I found her a brand new one. She found me a black and red plaid ballcap that perfectly matches a winter jacket I almost wore that very day. I haven't wore it probable in a year, but now have the hat for it. However, the old building located next to the do wop shop has only street parking and very congested small back parking area, which on more than one occasion has almost caused an accident. I'm not sure if the donations here go to those nearby camps but I'd imagine some at least do. After years of begging I finally talked my wife into going through our daughters old clothes to give away. So 10 large bags later we were ready to make a donation. This time around my wife didn't want to do the DAV Or goodwill drop off. Someone had spoke highly of wayside so we made a phone call and got the drop off hours and info and made the trip. It was a real easy setup. You pull up to the clearly signed drop off area and two workers came out and help you unload your donations. The gentleman were very friendly and thankful. Overall all donation centers are a positive. So it's nice to have options. As mentioned this is in a part of the city where it's by far the largest number of needy folks. So hopefully it his clothing items can help keep people warm or provide them some clean wardrobes.

This particular store is very organized and labeled clearly. All items are fairly organized and staff are pretty helpful if you need anything. There is a decent selection of clothing and various knick knacks located throughout. The book selection here was decent. There is also a huge selection of old cds and VHS videos. The checkout stand is towards the front of the store and there are usually two cashiers available. Overall, this was a great visit. I walked away with a handful of goodies without breaking the bank. Next time I'm in the area I'll be sure to stop by and see what other treasures I may stumble upon.
