The building is a repurposed older home with plenty of windows. Every space is filled with well-displayed knick-knacks, dishes, decor, toys, jewelry, tools, records, smaller furniture items, seasonal items and just about anything else you might need. As for prices, some things were very reasonably priced while others seemed over-priced to me. This is a great place for one-of-a-kind season decor! They have a Facebook page on which they post interesting items that are for sale in the shop. Be aware, the shop is closed on Friday and Saturdays, and is open Sunday-Thursday - 9:30 - 4:30, with cash-only sales on Sundays.

To be honest, it is a three story house and adjacent one story building which doesn't actually qualify as a 'mall'. Things are well displayed and ordered; however, as I moved from room-to-room it felt like a was seeing the same items at every turn. If you have several hours to spend I guess it's worth a visit. It is a poke from Middletown though especially with traffic and interstate construction.

We stopped in yesterday after lunch and spent close to 45 minutes looking around. The store itself isn't huge but it's bigger than it looks from the outside and there is a great selection of things for sale. They seem to have everything from clothing to jewelry to accessories to matchbooks and even old Playboy magazines. I was very impressed with most of the prices that I saw because honestly they seemed pretty reasonable compared to what I typically see at vintage/thrift stores these days. They were even having a sale on swimsuits! The lady working was also friendly and offered her assistance but also left us alone to peruse which I always appreciate. Ultimately all we purchased yesterday was a mood ring but the kiddo is saving her money for clothes and wants to come back when she's ready to add to her wardrobe so we will definitely be in again. The Neon Flea is a nice addition to the neighborhood!

This was a first for me, so I called the store first to get the details. Nice and neat clothing only, on hangers, no more than three years old and only for fall. I figured I was good to go with everything I had, so I dropped by Twice As Nice, which is not too far from where I live. I was very impressed with the wedding gown selection. It was the first thing that caught my eye. I didn't expect to see wedding gowns at all, so it was a nice surprise. In general, the store was a bit cluttered. I had a tough time maneuvering around in some spots. I'm known to carry gigantic purses so that only added to the problem. But part of the fun of going thrift shopping is the hunt. You've got to be willing to dig to find the prize. I can't lie, I've experienced some top-notch consignment shops, and this one didn't quite live of to those. But, I think it could be a diamond in the rough. I only had about 20 minutes to look around, and the selection looked pretty promising. All types of clothes, shoes, belts, purses, and housewares. And the owner was sooo nice. I could go back just to chat it up with her. I'll have to go back a few times and see how the inventory turns over (and if my clothes sell) before I make my final judgment.

Nitty Gritty was by far the most thoughtfully curated of the stores we went to - but also the most expensive. As we perused the men's section upstairs, we noticed that several items were well above the budget we had set in place. That being said, the quality of nearly all of the items was above average. This is a true vintage store - not one where you will find used clothes bought from Target four years ago (not that there is anything wrong with that either). After about half an hour, he settled on a pair of $30 snowboarding pants that normally sells, from what our internet search revealed, for well over $150, so even though there was some initial sticker shock, the pants were well worth it. He also procured a very vintage sweater vest for $12 which he is insistent he will pair somehow with the pants - I'm looking forward to seeing this outfit. At any rate, I highly recommend this store for the true vintage connoisseur - someone who is looking for well made, lasting pieces and is willing to pay the higher prices for quality. This store has been around for ages and now I understand why: it is a walk back into time. The staff is friendly and helpful, too, which is always a plus, and parking was not an issue, though I had worried it might be.

I went shopping a few weeks back with my 5 girls and some friends when we stopped into this shop. The building walking in will Give you big time nostalgia vibes. Lots of oldest clothing styles and vintage items to browse in this two level shop. The men's department is upstairs and the costume rental area is in the very rear. When back there be sure to look in the rafters for some old school child terrorizing animal mascot heads that are fun to check out. On our trip here my oldest found a 50s retro looking swim suit that she fell in love with. It was reasonably priced so we made the purchase. Overall a pretty cool shop that was fun to browse and brought a blast from the past feeling for me personally. Only strange thing was there was rack with an old uofl mascot hoodie my second oldest wanted but it wasn't priced yet so they simply said "not for sale".

I bought a 80's/90's beaded 100% silk crop top that fits me like a glove, for $75! It is such an incredible piece to add to my collection. Words do not do this piece justice. I just moved here from California and stores like this just do not exist in California anymore. This is a real gem! Sharon has been in this store for 13+ year and I hope she is there for 13+ more! I live about two blocks from this store and am already planning my return. I went 2x yesterday. Once with a friend and once to bring my husband because I felt like he NEEDED this 70's silk shirt she had. It was fantastic and we bought it. I love locally owned, independent stores like this and supporting hardworking, knowledgeable and passionate women. Please, do yourself a favor and go here! Try stuff on! Talk to Sharon! If you don't find anything, come back again in the near future and support this amazing woman-owned business! It is a real gem! Ps... they are size inclusive!
