So I have never gone into a goodwill before but i have to say that i was pleasantly surprised overall. It was very well layed out. The staff was friendly. I didn't browse through any of the aisles, just dropped off donations. What I did find minorly confusing and wasn't much of an inconvenience, was the fact that the donation dropoff center area which the main entrance was located outside the building (I didn't know this upon entering), was closed. I heard that you can ask for a donation slip to report to taxes, which isn't like a super major big deal to me, but that's something nice if you are looking to get some of it written off. This place is very expensive. If you try to purchase dinner ware the price tag is over the mark or name on the back so you will not know what you are buying. Today I found a picture I liked priced at $25. the frame was badly damaged and taped to hold it together. The picture had slipped down so you would have to get a new frame. Or I guess you could open it, tape the photo in and then tape the frame again. But this would likely fall off the wall. The manager would only come down $5. He was nasty and said someone else will buy it why should I reduce it for you. So he basically was saying he could rip someone else off if not me. You would not believe how high priced these items are. If you are low income, you can't shop here. High priced junk. read more

What can I say? You have to have some good (or perhaps more than good) will to check out a Goodwill. Firm believer that the thrifting experience is in the eye of the beholder. It's not really Goodwill's fault if you don't have the will to look for a gem. Dug around here for quite a bit. Great selection of mugs, as well as books. I've seen used bookstores in the area that have less used books than this place. Clothes were a bit picked over, but that's to be expected; the store was PACKED on a Saturday and you could definitely tell that a lot of trendy college-aged Vermonters were scouring the racks. Not a lot of hangable items for the home (pictures/art) or furniture. I expect that is because the Habitat for Humanity ReStore is right down the road. Docking a star because of the "Selected by Goodwill" section in the back corner. First of all, not sure why Goodwill selected any of the pieces back there. Second of all, I don't know, it's just kind of annoying. BUT BEHOLD! In the normal t-shirt section I somehow found a glittery, sheer 70s three-piece number for SIX DOLLARS. Even eBay can't beat that. When did Goodwill get so expensive? A dog toy there is the same price as Petsmart. I was sadden to think a Thrift shop is out of the budget.

Basically a sad dollar general. Commercialized and expensive, not for a Thrift lover.

Some snarky reviews here, I've been here many times and treated with respect. I've gladly brought some things here for them to sell, for them to employ people and train people on being good in business. Let me say all the stuff I brought there was of good quality, would much rather have to go to benefit employees and those looking for a good deal. Otherwise, do we want to fill our landfills with items that are perfectly usable and functional? When stuff doesn't sell immediately, it gets marked down...so wait until its on sale! I bought 4 winter hats here at an incredibly good price. The winter gloves are really disposable...but, hey, made in China. What a great place to recycle books, items you can't use but serve someone else very well at incredible deals, all while training people......not a bad situation. read more

First let me say that I just moved here from Florida which is Goodwill Central. Hundreds of donation centers and stores. They come out to your car with a rolling cart and help you load your boxes onto the cart and then they take it inside the center. Nice, respectful, grateful. At this center they actually wanted me to throw my china, glassware, serving dishes, etc. into huge boxes outside. This is what they were doing. Just literally throwing things into boxes. Glass things. I had an SUV full of donations that were very nice things. I was horrified that this is the operating system of Goodwill in Vermont. Plus 3 out of 4 of the guys there were really nasty. So I left and went to my local hospital thrift store where they were MORE than grateful to accept my donations. I will NEVER go to Goodwill in Williston again. Horrible. read more

I always find something here but not much in extra lg size. Toys are barely there.... Furniture looks shabby.

Been going to this store for years. Internal staff at the counter always friendly. Great finds. Great prices. BUT: Gratuitously and shockingly rude donation staff. Funny because that's how they raise their money. GW may want to think about placing staff better equipped with facing the public on donations. SMH read more

This Goodwill is right next to the Williston shopping center so it is a very convenient location! The store is moderately sized and yes, full of other peoples crap that could be your treasure! It's very inexpensive and has a lot of clothing as well as an entirely separate section of just furniture items. read more

Was told to leave the store because, in the employee's words, my "mask wasn't sufficient". She was extremely rude and aggressive about it. My mask is made of tightly woven material and doesn't allow air to pass through the sides/bottom/top like other masks, it is totally sufficient, even my doctor doesn't have a problem with it. On top of that, this bitch had one of those sewed together, two pieces of Joann's fabric looking homemade masks with gaping holes out the sides. I never make things about race, but I find it extremely suspicious that I was the only black customer in the store and there were several other customers with similar masks and she did not approach them. I would definitely not recommend spending your money here. read more

the cashier overcharged me so i moved out of line and reviewed my receipt it was wrong. there was a pretty big line. i didnot leave the store they would not give me cash back.(i paid with cash) they gave me a credit slip. said it was a return. i kept it not a return. the manger was rude said i could stay until the store closed he wasnot giving me money back watch them ring up your purchases i shop there alot there's no need to be rude read more

I stopped by the Williston today to donate an entire wardrobe of nice clothing. The guy accepting donations was rude and not at all engaged. Made me angry and wish I had donated elsewhere. Not impressed. read more

While this Goodwill is not as new or as large as the one in South Burlington, it is laid out and organized in a similar way, which is to say better than most Goodwill's. The selection is smaller and there's never very much for plus size, plus it's a little dark, but the selection of toys and games it usually pretty good and I always find something in the knickknacks to take home. It's usually a hit and sometimes a miss. read more

Good variety of items but employees were snarky, rude and bitchy. They wanted $30 for a PlayStation 2 which for one is outdated and two it was defaced with sharpie, damaged near the memory card ports and was missing some gold contacts on the power chord. When I and my girlfriend brought it up to employees to let them know they automatically thought I was trying to get a discount and would not listen to me. The console was immediately snatched out of my hand and brought to the back room. When I spoke to the manager about the console and the way the associates treated us she tried to politely tell us to f*** off and leave the store all because we were trying to warn her that it wouldn't sell in that condition and that they should discount it, not to us mind you. We just were just trying to look out for everyone so they could avoid issues. By the end of my shopping trip I was treated like a thief and nuisance and almost left everything and didn't even buy the stuff in my cart. If you're looking for a deal on video games and consoles DO NOT go to this location, if you have an issue they will dismiss it, will not discount unlike other Goodwill's I have been to and they also overprice their electronics. I went into Goodwill recently! The manager, her name started with an "A", treated me like cattle getting through the checkout line. She was training a new employee, clearly, yet charged the customer behind me $100 more for her goods!! She continued to ignore me while I made my purchase in order to keep the customer she mishandled happy. I'm beyond disappointed because I have always been a fan of thrift shopping and recycling goods. I have found that this company is beyond irresponsible, they take donations from our community. DONATIONS = free. They then take the donations, which are handled by a local employee paid 9.60/hr, they then place them on store shelves, ship donations to other stores or throw them away. EVERYONE, use your common sense, please. This company is stealing from our community, by taking donations and selling them for profit, not giving anything back to the community, and using poor business concepts so their employees are forced to use social assistance, which their company should provide. It just makes sense! read more
