This location was pretty clean and well-stocked. We came in the evening and had to stand around waiting for someone to check us out. Though the selection was nice, some of the clothing wasn't the best quality for the price. Still worth a visit as you don't know what you'll find! read more

I went out on a limb here to look for a desk thinking perhaps I'd find one but honestly as soon as I walked into this location I couldn't bare the appearance nor smell of this location, so I was in and out in 1.2 seconds. This, by far was the best Goodwill I have been to all the shirts are in color coordination and the place was really need and affordable. I went to the Scottsdale location and really was disappointed. Definitely expensive but I guess since this is located near ASU u have a better variety. To see a switch in the electronics section was amazing I have never seen that in the Texas and Louisiana locations. 2 thumbs up read more

I really like this location. I always find some good clothes and or items. Good customer service. I like to stop here whenever I am in Tempe to see what bargains I can find. My company recently had a pirate employee themed picnic. I found everything I needed to make my costume. I guess everyone gave away pirate stuff right before I arrived! haha! It's like a gamble, sometimes you win big and sometimes nothing. I think I'm hooked. Sometimes I drop in just to see what there is. I used to be anti thrift store cuz I never found anything decent, but now that I go more routinely I have had some success in the "finds" area. An awesome chaise that numerous friends want, shoes I've picked up for a friend in N. CA, purse that turned me onto a brand that's made in LA -that means Made in the USA! Great shoes that I'm guessing just didn't work out for the previous owner, stuffed toys for my dogs, comforters for my car -because of the dogs, my kids fixation on books means we can fill the need for even less than what I would pay at Changing Hands. If you buy something make sure you have no intentions of returning it, because if you do try to make a return you will be given the third degree on why you are returning it. (Even if you haven't removed the price tag). Clearly this is a new management directive, because before they used to be no hassles on returning items. There are plenty of genuine charity centers in the Valley to donate your excess product to, I suggest you research and give your items to a more deserving cause. read more

This is my second go to location for lunchtime browsing. This location is okay for books (I found a good one today) and sometimes there are some other cool things but I mostly go there for the books. It's a little dingy but well laid out and fairly organized for a thrift store. read more

Awesome location and is my go-to place in the area. I have been to every single location in the state and the pricing is better than most I have been to. Yes, the pricing can be high for some items at Goodwill, but I can't tell you how many rare and valuable items I have found sleuthing thrift stores in the valley. Sometimes I will spend that $25 for a collectible only to find out at home it is worth $400. Some items however are way too high, especially if you know you can find the exact same thing at the store brand new for a few dollars more. So it pays to know antiques and values for items. If you like to shop a lot, you are well on your way! The furniture selection tends to dwindle in the evenings, this is a popular location so if you are looking for nice furniture, get here early. There is usually very slim pickings at night and they don't really put anything new out at this time either (furniture wise). This location has a ton of everything you want, some Goodwills vary on the amount they carry. Plenty of housewares, bagged items, purses, linens, toys, books, shoes, and clothes. I know everyone at this location and everyone is pretty friendly. Don't forget to sign up for their email every month for 20% off, they take the coupon on your smartphone! Create a folder in your email labeled "Goodwill coupon" and just save the email to that folder every month. Easy access. No more searching through hundreds of emails feebly while the cashier and people behind you are getting impatient! Trust me, I am guilty of this. 50% off weekends are every other weekends, but those days are swamped with people. It is worth it though, just come early! read more

After the outrageous greed displayed by your manager at the Kyrene & Warner store today, I can say definitively that I will never donate another item to Goodwill or step foot in another retail store again. Today, as I was dropping off a TRUCKLOAD of items... a car pulled up, also to donate. A woman got out and asked if she could have a torch lamp that I was dropping off. She explained that she was a teacher and it would work perfectly in her classroom. I said certainty...as she stepped over to get it, a rude gentleman stepped out and said she could not have it. That once it touched the ground, it was Goodwill's!!! I beg to differ...once I leave...itis Goodwill's... and not before. Clearly Goodwill is about the $, and not the meaning of they word they use. read more

This Goodwill is much better than many I've been to, in fact it may be my favorite one, and I really know my way around the Valley's second hand stores... The store is clean and bright, the employees are very friendly, the aisles are organized and it doesn't smell like grandma's underwear drawer. A big bonus for me is their $1 Thursdays: Everything with that day's colored tag is $1. You can find some AWESOME stuff for just a buck. SCORE! read more

This is my favorite spot to drop off donations. Quick and pleasant. The employees are happy and helpful. Because it is Goodwill the selection varies and depending on what you are looking for you may get a bargain. I went in looking for CD, (bought a car that still had a working cd player (11 cds!). There was plenty of country music and some pop. Not any music for me. I was looking for metal. I did find however a cool Star Wars storm trooper mask. I was pleased. The cashiers are on the ball. When the line starts to get too big another cashier will come to the rescue. I have never waited long. I wish the dollar store worked like this! This location does get busy for the 50% off Saturday, but if you are into that thing it is great. I prefer to shop when it is less busy. The prices here are fair. read more

This is a Goodwill store that I will go to more than once. It is clean and well organized for sure. I was looking for some wires to hook up one of those wonderful Electronic devices. I had gone around to serveral Goodwills in the Valley. I could not find one anywhere. I even went to Big Lots, No Luck! So I finally came to this location. It is clean ,which is a great thing. Everything is in order.Plus, guess what ! I found the wires and hook up bits that I needed. Plus there is just so much to look at all the way around. Great place, great deals. Lots of parking in the lot. Employees are great People and very helpful! read more

Popped in here on a whim one day, and wandered around for a bit. Didn't actually want to really touch much of anything, I felt like I was in that show "Hoarders" but the hoarder had OCD....so it was slightly organized filthy crap. The furniture in the back looked so sad, I can't imagine any other Goodwill in the valley accepting it. Most of it looked like it had been scavenged from next to dumpsters. I did end up buying a few of the bags of cloth they have, but only because they are for sewing projects and I knew I could dump them in the washer and sterilize the crap out of them when I got home. I love going to thrift stores, but this was slumming at a level I could not have imagined. read more

I fail to see a reason for this store to even exist. Item selection in this store is sporadic, poor, the quality can not be attested to and the prices are completely arbitrary. The store it self has a dirty and temporary feel to it. The crowd that this store attacks is also less than savory. The store seems out of place in this neighborhood and has little use to me. Other than looking for Halloween costume crap I would not recommend stopping in here. read more

This is my go to location for donations. I have never had to wait in a line and the staff is always very friendly and willing to help move things from the car. This particular location also has a great selection of home goods. Most of the pots and pans are in decent shape. Oddly enough most furniture seems like it sits around for awhile despite being very cheaply priced. If you're looking to score a couch this would be the location to check. Make sure to sign up for their email list before you go for a coupon. read more

I stopped by last Saturday when Goodwill had there 50% off sale. The sale is every other Saturday and is at other stores as well. I didn't see anything I wanted but then again I usually don't buy much when I visit. I just like to browse around during the summer months as it's cooler then hitting garage sales and buying too much would make me a hoarder. read more

Not as good as the Ahwatukee one, but I picked up some cheap kids toys and books. Even a glow in the dark dinosaur bones building set! I was in for some of those Fido clamping jars. No such luck this time but I'll be back. read more

I'm not sure why the previous reviews were so poor, as I refer to this Goodwill location as the "Nordstrom" of Goodwills. I've found Banana Republic pants in perfect condition for a dollar, Ann Taylor Loft Pants brand spanking new for a dollar , A Pea in the Pod maternity pants which retail for $100 for a dollar, a Chicos Travelers outfit NEW with tags for a dollar. Yes, some of the stuff shouldn't even be out on the shelves, but that's what you get when you visit a thrift store. Patience and looking through the racks on dollar days can find you some fantastic clothing! read more

Would like to shop here byt can't stay a minute in there without getting a bad headache because of the amount of deodorizer/scent they use.

The staff is incredibly friendly and the store is very clean. They have a very organized, large selection of merchandise and parking is plentiful. There's another store closer to my house but I drive to this one because of the staff & clean store. read more

I've been a customer there for a long, long time. Generally this location is one of the cleaner stores. Most times employees are friendly. Half-priced Saturdays can be dangerous as the line to enter the store begins a half-hour before opening. Items can be overpriced - really. On one occasion I consulted the manager when an item really was seriously overpriced. Because it was half-priced Saturday, the item was marked up in order to get the everyday price after the discount. That didn't seem like 50% off to me. When the issue was brought to management, welI, the management didn't care. That's too bad because it says a lot about a company that relies on donations and from customers like me who used to frequent it. In my opinion, I would think the manager would care to think twice about pricing when the issue is brought up to him. When the manager KNOWS you and KNOWS you spend every two weeks, and a pricing reconsideration/review is not done...well... for a mere $1.50 cents, you've lost a loyal customer. Principles still matter in this day and age. I won't be returning there anymore. read more
