Very unimpressed. 10 trays of jewelry locked up in the display case and a single vintage piece in there. Seems as if it had already been picked thru for anything of interest. Come on yuba city goodwill leave something for the customers. Blah! Thumbs down! read more

Funny, I read that they don't have much furniture but I try to drop off a Stereo cabinet, a coffee table and a ceiling fan (complete in box) that all came out of a game room and they wouldn't take it, its too worn. Been using it up to now.....Goodwill getting to picky huh. read more

Tonight I had a horrible experience shopping at my favorite Goodwill in Yuba City. I was at the cash register at exactly 9:00 PM (05/24/17). The closing manager Mackinzi said sorry, with a big grin, I cashed out the drawers and my register says it is 9:01 PM. She was extremely rude and said I would have to come back tomorrow. I showed her the time on my phone showing that it was 9:00 PM. She continued to rudely state she would not help me. I said I would report this to her manager and had to argue with her insisting that she reopen her register. She called her boss and was told to check me out with a credit card. She never announced at 9PM like every other Goodwill to bring final your final purchases to the front. She lied to her boss that it was 9:01 PM when I arrived at the register. Pretty sad considering my money pays her paycheck. I had 14 items and my receipt shows 9:03:53 PM. I had to argue with her for a few minutes at 9:00 PM. Clearly she closed out her drawer before 9:00PM. Next time I will hurry faster but still there is no excuse for such treatment. She should NOT be managing and would be better suited not working with customers! read more

Decent store, found some good stuff, but never seen so many people who appeared to be on meth :/

Where do I start? They are overpriced on things that they get donated to them. They attempt to look things up online trying to find a value, without looking at what they sell for, only looking at what people are asking. If they think it's worth anything, they send it off to the e-sales department to sell online. God forbid they let you find a deal there. $20 for knockoff name brand jeans? No thanks. There are always little kids running amuck and destroying the place. Good luck getting a shopping cart, as it seems that they never have any. I could go on and on about what is wrong with this store, but you get the point, and it won't change anything. read more

its a good place to go to, but there is a lady there at the cash register that has an attitude..we bought dog pad that come with 75, we counted and it was only 52 so we ask the price check and the girl that did price check drop the price to 5.49 instead of 8.49 and the lady at the register was like "its only missing a couple." I was like a couple? a couple is 2.she laugh and I paid and walk off..overall its a good place read more

The Goodwill is no longer the friendly little thrift store that we all knew growing up. It's now being run like a for profit Corp. that's structured to maximize profits. And there's no better an example than the one in Yuba city. All items of value never reach the sales floor. They are ID'ed by the stores sorters and if they determine that they are over a certain value, I was told $40, they are sent back to Sacramento to be sold on either the company's website at auction or to of their " boutique" stores. All chances of finding a nice little treasure have been nearly eliminated. What you'll now find in their stores are colored t shirts for $5, worn out shoes starting at $8 and going up to $20 or more. Also, a recent change in store policy now gives a customer 24 hours to return a non functioning electronic item instead of the previous 2 weeks. And these electronic items are never tested before they are put out for sale and the return is just for credit. Before this organization went corporate, I used to shop there on a regular basis. Now, maybe one or twice a month at the most. And each time I do go in, I get more disgusted. read more
