We're local, but it's a fun place to pop into when you're looking for something sweet! It's packed with every variety of commercial candy you can think of, as well as behind the counter chocolates, regular ice cream and Dippin Dots. It's a blast of color just walking in. Very kind staff, usually all of them are pretty young and respectful. Minimal seating if you're planning on staying. The fancier chocolate and behind-the-counter candies are a bit overpriced for the quality you'd expect (for those items I'd recommend going into one of the resort candy shops) but it's a fun atmosphere. read more

We had a fun outing while visiting the Wisconsin Dells area although I was bummed to see very few international brands. No Cadbury! I would have loved to see Irish chocolates! But I got a bag of assorted Tootsie rolls and Frooties plus a pack of Chunkles and Now and Laters. Nothing was stale. Inside was heavy on chewy items like jelly beans, taffy. A bit too cluttered for me indoors. The outdoor sitting area is cute. Prices are very high, so I just got 3 small things and a few postcards. Only 47 cents each for postcards. Not only was I overcharged, but immediately upon leaving our group received a fraudulent charge on their debit card. I pointed out the mistake, but the staff just didn't act right. I'm not certain how to explain it, but something seems very off about this place. Also of note, prices are high and I get it, you are in a tourist trap, but everything was stale, hard, or didn't taste like it should have. Skip this place at all cost. read more

Packed candy shop for sure. If you can't find it here, it probably doesn't exist anymore. We ended up with some fudge and taffy which are both great. The reason for the three star review would be the stale gelato in the case. Didn't taste like anything at all and the staff seemed to be in their own world. Nobody acknowledges you at the candy cases which are super expensive per truffle/item. Also no communication whatsoever during the check out process. This is a very nice candy shop. They have a automatic cotton candy machine that makes custom cotton candy. They have an section that you can eat in the back. Different varieties of candy. They do have candy in bags to keep safe and folks putting there hands on the products. Very clean. The have little horses outside for little people can sit on for pictures. The service was ok. While visiting the Dells with some fellow Navy veterans, I stopped by here. Good stuff if you have a sweet tooth but I asked the employee, if there was any sugar free items and she showed me the Sugar-Free section that was in the corner of the store. I bought some sugar free twirlers and chocolates. Nice selection. Very clean place and very helpful staff. read more

First time in town yesterday (W, 04 Sept). Stopped in to store to get some fudge and chocolates (from the case). There were multiple clerks working...at least three in the area of the chocolate display case and cash registers. I waited ten minutes for service but only received looks (yes, actual eye contact) from the staff, never a greeting or "How can I help you?" I eventually walked out without purchasing anything -- probably a $50 loss for them...and a further loss for the local economy as we got out of town immediately not spending any money at all in the area. I'd find some other candy place (there seem to be plenty) if I were you. Giving one star as zero is not possible. read more

They have an extensive selection of candy to choose from. From candy you can get anywhere to some nostalgic candies, and in house made sweets. We bought a few truffles from the case. We tried Amoretto, Champagne, German Chocolate and Salted Caramel. The best of them was the Champagne. The others were not very flavorful. Yes they are overpriced because they can be due to being in a tourist area. I don't know that I would make the trip here just for my candy fix. As far as the in house made chocolates-I would recommend going to Swiss Maid Fudge down the road instead. No one greeted us when we came in nor asked us if we needed help. The girl at the counter didn't seem to be able to speak or understand English very well. She nodded and smiled and didn't respond otherwise when I spoke to her. She gave us a wrong truffle as well due to this obstacle. I give it 3 stars only due to the extensive selection of candy. This place is insanely overpriced. $7 for two lollipops and a rock candy. Even worse, there is an ice cream/popcorn counter (a place kids eat in) and they won't let customers use the restroom. So, your toddler eats ice cream, gets sticky, and... they disallow you (rudely) from using the restroom. They're $12.99/lb gummy bears and $17.99/lb M&Ms (1200% markup) don't even allow you to use a sink? Shame on you for taking advantage of tourists and leaving them high and dry. read more

It was nostalgic to be back at Goody Goody Gumdrop. It reminds me so much of my last trip as a child to the Dells (many moons ago). The salted caramel fudge was super soft and fresh, and went well with my Bella Goose salted caramel coffee. There's so many sugary treats here, there is something to satisfy your sweet tooth. From fudge to ice cream, to chocolates, to gummy candies, there's so much to look at! I will always drop in to GGG whenever I'm in the Dells. It's tradition. :) read more

It was a fun stop. Most of my childhood candy lives here. They have ice cream and gelato as well. It is crowded and small spaces but there are surprises around every corner. I passed in the ice cream and went with rock candy instead. My family had the ice cream. My kids say the ice cream is good. Fun stop for a sugar buzz :) read more

As usual, super cute and always busy. Not a ton that I can say that others haven't already.. but sometimes you can't expect super fresh candy when tons of people open up the magnetic boxes to fill up their bags. I have been going to this particular Goody Goody Gumdrop location since I was a kid! Timbavati used to be Riverview Park/Waterworld when I was growing up. The sugar rush tradition lives on with my family. Lol. We make this our last stop in the Dells before heading home at the end of the weekend. And I still think the place rocks! They have a HUGE variety of candy, with old school brands and new types that you are not going to find in the average grocery or big box store. They have a respectable amount of chocolate candies, like bricks of fudge, truffles, chocolate-covered strawberries, etc. And they taste just fine to me! I do not feel like this is "just another tourist trap" in the Dells. It is a fun novelty candy store and completely worth taking yourself or your family to at LEAST once! read more

Not sure why people are leaving such negative reviews. This place is really great and my daughter absolutely loved it. It's a very cute place with a HUGE selection of candy. Sure, the prices are a little high but show me a place in the Dell's that is not at least slightly overpriced. If you want cheap candy head over to Walmart and buy a bag of Tootsie Rolls or something, but if you want to shop somewhere with some higher quality fine chocolates as well as all of your typical Jelly Belly and Gummy stuff this is your place. This place has everything but it is ridiculously over priced. My daughter wanted a sucker. It was $4. My older daughter got a slushy. It was also $4. She said she has had better slushes from a gas station. I ordered a white chocolate dipped pretzel. It was really good, but it was $3. Stay away from the funnel cakes. They are $5 and they are not made fresh so they taste like rubber. I ordered one. It was awful. I asked for a refund. They gave it to me and apologized. This place has a younger staff which is typical for the dells. You will not receive first class service. The service is typical and consistent with other places in the Dells. Nice variety of candy and fudge is great. Customer service was horrible. We arrived close to closing time, but there where still customers shopping. The girls started to turn off the lights and kept saying the work "closing" very loudly but never once asked if we need help or said politely that it was closing time. The three girls stood behind the counter speaking another language giggling and giving us rude looks. There were 2 other customers besides us shopping. Very rude employees! read more
