Goody Goody Gum Drop: The largest candy store in Wisconsin was founded in 1975, when Pete Helland decided to open a candy store in front of his family's amusement park Wisconsin Dells. It's second location in the heart of Downtown Dells wasn't opened until 1991 and features a massive lollipop sign that attracts sweet-toothed customers like a bug zapper light to insects. I've been visiting the store with each Dells vacation since I was a kid in the early 90s, and it continues to wow me to this day. Forget the massive lollipop sign, it's the heavenly aroma of sweet confections that draws me in. All manner of sweet treats can be found, including homemade fudge, hand-dipped chocolates, truffles, caramels, nut clusters, caramel apples, saltwater taffy, sugar-free candies and chocolates, jellybeans, ice cream, yogurt, soda, hard candies, gummies, rock candy, lollipops, popcorn, espresso, and gourmet coffees. With so much to choose from, there's no way this place is anything other than Doughboy approved! *There's also a vast amount of completed Lego sets decorating the shop. As a Star Wars nerd, I especially appreciate looking at all the massive Lego ships. Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Turtle. The chocolate was really hard!

Very cute, big candy store. There is a huge selection of candy. A lot of retro candy from when I was a kid. The staff was nice and friendly. I realize the store is in a tourist area but the prices are high. I actually put some candy back because it would have been $80! The small prepackaged bags of candy don't work well. Once you open the bags, there's no way to close them. The candy spills all over. I couldn't eat the turtles because the chocolate was so hard I was afraid I was going to break a tooth. My hubby really liked them. I love to support local, but I'm just not sure it is worth the price.

We stopped mid day on Friday 3/10 and somehow the staff appeared to be inconvenienced by us visiting their store, since we were the only customers at the time. Typical tourist pricing w/ a wide variety of choices. They serve ice cream and beverages but have no bathroom... It was cool to see all of the Lego displays. On the surface it seems like a nice place to stop but the vibe was uncomfortable due to the staff.

A touristy candy store located in the mecca of tourist destinations, Wisconsin Dells. This place also has a small ice cream store attached. You can't miss it as it is bright pink and looks like something from a children's nursery rhyme. I wasn't all that impressed with their selection - unless you are in the mood for every possible color of M&M's or Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. Although, the hand made items, fudge etc. looked a little bit better. In addition, this place can seem a little hectic with kids buzzing around and lots of noise. Of course if your are visiting with Kids, then this place is there dream come true.

This is one of the three locations of Goody, Goody Gum Drop. One is in downtown Wisconsin Dells, one is right next to the zoo, and the last is located inside of one of the hotels at the Wilderness Resort area. All of them are relatively easy to get to if you're in the area where they're at. This one seems to be the easiest since it has its own parking lot and is visible from the street. Pros: -Tons of candy to choose from. I mean, tons. Rock candy, lots of jellybean flavors, typical candy flavors, toffees, cordials, chocolate-covered Oreos, truffles, bark, fudge, and TONS more. Insane amounts of candy. -An adorable store presentation. Everything is really organized, and it's really easy to find. -They have non-candy, impulse items to purchase as well. Nothing you'd come to the store to specifically buy, but it might be stuff you'd add on. Cons: -Prices are kinda expensive. Candy apples run at $9 each. Most candies are $12 a pound - including Hershey's Kisses. You have to watch how much you buy here because it adds up quickly. -Employees, while friendly, didn't seem particularly knowledgeable about what they sold. A couple questions I had about what things were were met with "I don't really know, but I think..." I particularly remember asking what was in a Black Forest truffle.

This shop has the typical tourist pricing of the shops in downtown (three ice cream cones came to almost $18) but that's not unexpected. My main observation though is that the staff doesn't seem to be happy working there. All of the kids in the shop are running around as happy as can be but the girls working there can't even muster a smile.

Are you serious? This is definitely Willy Wonka's factory 2011! I think I passed out at the variety alone! Although most of the candy is $11.99 a pound, you can always get less. Want chocolate cherry coveted malt balls? Well there here! Want taffy and licorice in so many flavors, uhhh hmmm, they have that too! Just a great place to check out if your in the Dells. Across the street from the Alien crash site and the upside down "TOP SECRET" white house. If you just want to browse, your just wasting time because in the end, you know your not leaving empty handed. Also their ice cream on sugar or waffle cones are really worth it under $5.

Very impressive selection of candy and ice-cream extremely tempting and great location next to the wildlife park. The whole family got their choice of icecreams to walk around in the hot sun viewing all the animals. I was fascinated by the cute collectible trains and dolls.

Great place! This is in a tourist area so prices are a bit higher but the staff was nice and the selection was good. Lots of parking!

I am here for the nostalgia of the rock candy typically, and whatever else piques my interest that day.

What a cute addition right smack on Broadway in the Dells…read more Stopped by here for coffee and breakfast on a recent trip to the Dells. The restaurant itself is cute as a button with the black and white checked flooring and cutsie decor. The front windows roll up to make for lovely open air dining on pleasant days. It's an order at the counter and they'll bring your food to you sort of set up. For my first breakfast here, I got their oatmeal which was fantastic. It was a hearty serving of oatmeal and had chia seeds, cinnamon, blueberries, strawberries, and banana on top. All the fruit was fresh, making for a wonderfully delicious breakfast. The coffee is also solid (though I can't recall what I ordered) and the service is friendly. Get to it!

Very cute place. Pretty good food. But given how busy the rush is here, there needs to be more…read morestaff on floor at a time. When we stopped in, there were 2 staff, one working the coffee bar and the other on the ice cream, who were running around, serving food, making drinks, and constantly busy. It left us waiting to be serviced for around 10 minutes and when our food arrived, it was cold (likely from waiting for a server/coffee bartender to find a break to retrieve it). I ordered the french toast, which was good, cold but good, and a coffee, which I was okay with. My partner ordered the pork bowl, which arrived cold aside from the eggs in it. The prices here are reasonable, especially for the Dells, but I think Huckleberry's would be smart to have a few more hands on deck to ensure timely service.
