I'm an amateur restaurant reviewer, but this liquor store deserves a review. I don't drink very often, so being in the liquor store is a little confusing to say the least. For the past 4 years, I usually stop by Goody Goody Liquor before the holidays or when a new recipe calls for something specific. Every time I come, someone will help me without being too pushy with recommendations or drag out the help, but most importantly won't act like an alcohol snob. This liquor store is pretty close to home, and has a good selection. It's not such a beating as Total Wine, and I find the staff to be knowledgeable and friendly also. Check out is always quick as well, bonus! They don't carry a thing or two that I need every once in a while, but their European wine area is nice and they still have a great selection. read more

DO NOT make this your regular liquor store. Their "rewards program" is an absolute joke. You don't earn points for anything. This had regretfully been my regular liquor store for 1.5 years and I never earned enough points for anything. I then recently bought a bunch of beer for my baby shower. I brought back a couple cases that we didn't use the very next day and they wouldn't allow me to return it. It was even the same clerk and manager that checked me out when I purchased it. Nice liquor store for all your holidays needs and more. I decided to stop by today and was very pleased. A vast selection of just about anything for entertaining. They are the only liquor store that sells "white rum" in the area. If you bake holiday rum cake or some call it black cake, they have lots of rum. For one of my final reviews in Texas, I knew I had to make a stop here. I wanted to grab a bottle of some Texas whisky to crack open in my new state of residence. A bottle of TX Whisky from Fort Worth would do nicely and it is getting packed away for the long haul to the great northwest. Amazing selection of whiskys and lots of moonshine as well. That surprised me, but I wasn't looking for that today. The prices seemed a little steep, I paid just under $40 for my bottle. Not sure what other places charge for the same thing. But I knew I could get it there and so I did. They had plently of the local whiskys from Carrollton and Lewisville and Herman Marshall out of Dallas. Only 4 stars as we wanted to buy TX craft beer singles but they post on cooler notice not to break the six packs. SHE who cashes my retirement check liked the wine selections and the way they were organized. Next Day UPDATE: I got a message from Goody Goody Liquor stating that their other locations do offer craft beer singles to make your own six pack. What I like: Great selection and fair prices. I visit Goody Goody's a few times each month and always find new items to consider. There are always sales and often deep price cuts. For example, one gin I like to buy is often on sale for $10 for a 750ml that is normally $36. The staff is also nice. I never have to wait in line and often learn something new about whatever I'm buying (what to mix it with, etc ...). What I don't like: The construction... I doubt this is something they can fix, but I always cringe when driving my car through the 150 yards of muddy gravel/dirt road to get into the place. Summary: Good selection & prices, helpful staff, dirty car... I'll give it 4 stars when the construction is done with. read more

This is a magical place full of tasty adult beverages. It is like taking a stroll through an indoor marketplace with an impressive wine selection. The spirit side isn't as nicely appointed as the wine section but their liquor selection is still noteworthy. This is just a fun place to shop. Each wine room is divided by country with one section for the larger jugs and boxed wine. As you walk into each room, there place favorite suggestions up front. I personally like Specs better, especially the one down by 121. They have a better selection, better prices, and offer a discount to Veterans. Goody Goody is alright, but the store is pretty dated and doesn't have as good a selection as Specs. read more

An employee working there named Dylan was the first person to help me and my sister and since then we always ask for him. Such a fine young man, conscientious, kind helpful. I have a friend that lives way out in Little Elm, but GoodyGoody is just as good as ever even when it's surrounded by a hellscape of construction and traffic (like this location is). The inside is still gigantic, full of great deals on great beers / wines, (the liquor selection isn't as robust, but still okay), and as usual for most Goody Goody locations, the staff is super friendly. I don't go to liquor stores often, as I prefer to get my bubbly and wines from Costco. We were in town to visit friends though, one of whom is a fan of rum cocktails. While we were there for the rum I took a browse of their wine selection and it's pretty vast and impressive. They have everything from local selections, top selling brands, and even imports from Italy and Spain. They had some good sales going on so I picked up a bottle of pink Italian prosecco to try for under $11. Most pink bubblies are super sweet but this one was dry and slightly tart. I enjoyed it. We also got a 6 pack of Carlsburg beer and a 12 pack of miller lite. We walked out with all that spending less than $50. The employees are very knowledgable and always nearby if you have any questions or need help finding something. And bonus, you never know who you might run into! I may or may not have bumped into a Dallas Stars player at a different Goody Goody location near the same area once. This place deserves 5 stars for so many reasons! Friendly & knowledgeable staff, awesome booze, wine and beer selection, even when its jammed for the holidays it never seems "too crowded," reasonable prices (extreme to affordable) and most importantly it's pretty close to my house! They often have a "sale" table at the front left of the store - products vary from holiday booze, wine, bar paraphernalia, etc... We have purchased some of the sale wine and have been happy each time. I love a sale and if it includes, wine - bonus! When I first moved to TX from CA you can imagine my horror when I learned liquor can only be purchased in yep, you guessed it, a liquor store. And go figure I always came off as an alcoholic when I realized I needed to stock up and it was A) after 9pm or B) Sunday. When I finally remembered to buy alcohol with the rest of the Little Elm population, I decided to check this place out. Holy mother love of all that's booze. This place is freaking spectacular. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Love that they'll do tastings so you have an idea of what that new fancy liquor tastes like AND their selection is ridiculous. The only thing I can compare it to is BevMo and this place puts BevMo to shame. I now see why people flock to the liquor stores. You can grab all your party essentials like the required solo cup, grab speciality wines from around the world, all the mouth watering beer a conossiuer would go crazy over and have more then just a few types of rum, etc to pick from. In closing, I giggle every time I'm across the street at Kroger and see the parking lot packed here at 8:50p on Saturday as everyone is stocking up last min as if the world will end Sunday when they're closed. read more

The prices are excellent and the staff is really friendly. They'll answer any booze related questions you have and make recommendations/suggestions. Want something and can't find it?
